Minha estadia no Kick Ass Grassmarket Edimburgo foi ótima!

Ótimo café da manhã. Banheiros limpos. Localização perfeita!! Foi possível ir a todos os locais turísticos a pé. Ficarei lá novamente caso volte em Edimburgo.

Locker poderia ser um um pouco maior. Minha mala é pequena e mesmo assim não coube no locker.

It felt like home ... warm, clean, comfortable and safe with exceptional staff. I will be back!

Breakfast was simple, tasty and more than sufficient for my needs. Alberto's attention to keeping everything tidy, replenished and dirty dishes quickly cleared away was noticeable and appreciated.

Nothing could have been any better, it was perfect.

Tolle Zeit im Kick Ass

Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit im Kick ass. Es war sauber, hatte viele Möglichkeiten zum Entspannen und Zusammenkommen. Das Kick ass bietet außerdem nahezu jeden Abend Pub-Specials (z B. Pub-Quiz, Pub-Crawl) im benachbarten Kick Ass an. Super spaßig! Auch die Preise sind total in Ordnung. Die Lage ist super zentral und alles ist zu Fuß innerhalb weniger Minuten erreichbar. Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und kümmert sich direkt um Anregungen.

Frühstück ist recht übersichtlich (aber trotzdem lecker und vor allem auch super preiswert)

A estadia foi , mas vc precisa estar disposto a dividir perregues com pessoas que fazem muito barulh

O atendimento pessoal muito bom, só foi ruim porque no primeiro dia tivemos que tomar banho frio pois nenhum chuveiro do nosso andar esquentava, e naquele dia estava muito frio, uns 7 graus. Só depois que perguntei, nos avisaram que os chuveiros de outros andares estavam quentes, aí sim foi ótimo.

Cápsulas muito confortáveis, dão muita privacidade (fotos). WC e chuveiro em várias cabines individuais, super prático. Tudo limpo. Espaço de refeições agradável com vista para o castelo (ffoto). Localização excelente Staff simpático

Só tem pequeno-almoço continental, não tem outras opções. Temperatura do quarto regulada através da abertura de janelas (foto).

One of the best hostels I’ve ever been

Where to begin? Location is PERFECT. Shared rooms have a lot of space and the locker big enough to have a full backpack inside. Plenty of toilettes and showers. Kitchen, one of the best I’ve found in a hostel. It’s big and has everything. There are like 3 fridges so plenty of space where to store food. Common areas are nice and so is the staff. I didn’t try the breakfast but looked nice.

Super ! Lit en capsule situation géographique et personnel au top

Nuit en Pod (lit cabine) super, petit déjeuner nickel servi de 7h à 11h et personnel très gentil et qui accompagne bien. Très calme fin janvier dans les dortoirs.

Le débit des douches en fin de service, et l'eau froide. Il faut prendre celles de l'autre côté du couloir pour avoir du débit et de l'eau chaude.

Loved stay in Edinburgh

Perfect location, really comfortable bed and nice atmosphere, and excellent value for money. Kitchen facilities and chill out zone were better than expected.

Perfect place for a stay in Edinburg. The staff is very nice and welcoming. I would recommend it without a thought.

Nice accommodation.

It was clean in the room, toilets and showers. Very nice and helpful staff. Cheap and simple breakfast to buy. Nice that there was a kitchen where you could prepare some simple food. There were safes for each bed - no padlock needed!

The pillow was hard and very uncomfortable. The kitchen felt a little too small for everyone who wanted to use it. But it was good that there was a room next to the kitchen where we could sit and eat.

Une super ambiance et une déco chaleureuse le tout très bien placé ! Les pods très bien équipés avec lumière led, prise etc. Les pubs juste en face. La gentillesse du personnel. En bref je recommande.

Le seul problème, la difficulté à avoir une douche chaude le matin.

3층에서 숙박을 했는데 뜨거운 물이 안나왔다. 첫째날 저녁, 두번째날 아침에 찬물로 샤워했다. 부킹닷컴 메시지로도 따뜻한 물에 대해 이야기 했고 리셉션에도 따뜻한 물에 대해 문의 했으나 돌아오는 대답은 물을 틀고 기다려라 였다. 1층 구석진 곳에 있는 샤워실은 다른 보일러를 쓴다고 하여 두번째 날부터 그 곳에서 샤워했다 따뜻한 물도 온도 조절이 안되어 좀 쓰다보면 너무 뜨거워서 팔팔 끓는 수프 안에 들어간 느낌이었다. 아무리 싼 맛에 쓴다는 호스텔이지만 온도 조절 샤워기 설치하는 것도 힘드나? 그리고 조식은 안 먹길 추천드린다. 직원이 식빵 봉지에서 빵을 꺼내는데 장갑도 안끼고 맨손으로 식빵을 털썩 집어서 옮기더라.. 걍 근처 sainsbury나 tesco에서 빵 우유 샌드위치 사서 먹길 적극적으로 추천한다.

It was much better than I had thougbt and would think about going again.

I liked how everytjing was relaxing and even though it did not seem like it the first time, I had more privacy than I had thought. Everyone seemed friendly. It was a nice experience.

Great stay in Edinburgh

Great location. Friendly staff. I had a pod bed which was great in terms of privacy. The kitchen was good. I would stay here again if I come back to Edinburgh.

Technically anyone can access the floors with rooms on them as there is a separate staircase from the reception area into the common area which connects to the room areas. The reception is always manned but I can imagine it would be difficult to notice given the high turnover of people if someone is staying there or not. Although this is not a huge issue as there are swipe cards into each individual room.

Great stay. I recommend!!

The location exceeded my expectations. Furthermore, the building is organized and clean. The floor with the capsules also has individual bathrooms for toileting and bathing, in addition to large collective bathrooms, which I thought was very good. The reception has options for things to sell, which makes things a lot easier, and there are some convenience stores in the area that stay open until the early hours of the morning.

I saw several staff members during my stay, on different shifts, and only two guys, who were working together, were not in a good mood and were not very polite, but the vast majority of them were very polite and helpful.

A cheap but fantastic journey

Stay here for 3 nights. First, there’s a locker box here and it’s convenient. And the people living together are really nice. They are quiet and never make any noise.

The window of that room is broken and the wind of Edinburgh you know blew the window for all night, that’s really annoying and noisy

Pods are comfortable and have good privacy

The pods were comfortable and as pictured. Friendly staff. Good privacy in the pods.

A bit hard to climb out of top bunk of pod. I expected the pods to be a bit more soundproof, however, the room was fairly quiet during the night so was okay. As there are no lifts, might be a bit of a struggle for people who struggle with stairs or with heavy bags they need in their room and cant store in lockers on ground floor.

Would stay again

I stayed in one of the pods and was really only there to sleep so I didn’t use extra facilities but from what I experienced the place was fab! The pods were nice and clean and I really liked the individual showers. Everyone was friendly and respectful, WiFi worked, and pods were spacious. Will definitely stay again!

I did pop into the kitchen once and it was untidy but I guess that’s more the guests. There was also lockers but we weren’t given codes. The curtain on the pods was ripped so wouldn’t close all the way.

It was far way more than what I have expected. A little bit let down and I change my next stay.

There are several issues with this hostel that you should be aware of before making a booking. Firstly, the location is quite far away from both the bus and train stations, so if you are carrying heavy luggage, I would not recommend this place as it will require a long walk. Secondly, there is no hot water available in the room. I stayed in a six-mix dorm with an ensuite shower, there was no hot water in the tap from the time I checked in until the following morning. Lastly, the cleanliness of the bed sheets, duvets, and pillows was poor. When I spread out the blanket, I found lots of dusty stuff under the bed. Each of the beds had this problem as I checked every bed and was the only one staying there that night. Overall, I would not recommend Kickassgrassmarket Hostel until they have fixed the hot water issue. Because you will have to endure a cold shower in the winter. If you are someone who does not mind taking a cold shower, then you can book it as the price for one night is cheaper than a bed and breakfast. It depends on what criteria you pursue

Die Lage ist gut. Personal war nett.

Es ist nicht so sauber, außerdem sind nicht alle Räume ausgestattet mit den Betten auf den Fotos. Die Dusche war eiskalt. Es ist als Alleinreisender nicht so einfach Menschen kennenzulernen.

Vacanza perfetta

Ho adorato la struttura e la soluzione del pod per dormire. Il personale è molto disponibile e mi sono trovata particolarmente bene con un ragazzo della reception che mi ha dato molti consigli anche sulle visite da un giorno per visitare la Scozia. La posizione è fantastica e non ho avuto problemi con gli altri ospiti. Anzi, ho fatto amicizia con molte persone che stavano viaggiando e alloggiando nella struttura. Oltre a raccomandarla, quando tornerò ad Edimburgo, so già dove alloggerò.
