This house is gorgeous and it is such a short walk to the beach! Our family had plenty of room for everyone and thoroughly enjoyed our vacation stay at this home!

Great location for the house. It is quiet and a 5 minute walk to the beach. The island is beautiful and relaxing for sure. We will be back.

The most beautiful VRBO, I've ever rented and well stocked with needed items. The location was perfect to get to the beach. Our only problem was locking the doors, most nights we couldn't lock them even from the inside. However we felt safe in the surroundings. I would rent there again.

Nicely appointed home with quiet shady screen porches was exactly what we needed for our vacation!

The house and guest house were spacious and able to accommodate our family which included small children. The two screened porches provided nice outdoor space. It was an easy walk to the beach and to fishing on the marsh. The owner was helpful and responsive when I contacted them about a few maintenance issues. This was a nice place to indulge our nostalgia for the lowcountry.

Our adult kids and our son-in-law had a wonderful week in Kiawah and the house was just perfect! My daughter and her husband loved having their own space in the guest house, and the bedrooms in the main house were large and had very comfortable beds. The living room was spacious and had plenty of comfy furniture, the kitchen table was large for all of us to enjoy meals or games together, and the kitchen had everything we needed. All bedrooms had their own bathroom, which was really nice. The screened porches are nestled in the lush trees and we enjoyed morning coffee out there, watching the birds and occasionally spotting the resident alligator in the pond. We walked to the beach (easy 5 min walk), but a bike ride would get you there in about a minute’s time. Despite being there during the week of the 4th of July, the beach was not crowded at all. It is a bit of a drive into the grocery store, but the house is located on a very beautiful part of the island so we just tried to stock up/replenish supplies when we were at Fresh Fields Village or going off Kiawah for other activities. We had such a great week and loved this house!! One small suggestion is to buy bags of ice as the ice maker ran out quickly.

Our family enjoyed our Thanksgiving vacation in this lovely home. The location was just a short walk or bicycle ride to the beach which was a plus and extremely close to the Ocean Course which my husband and sons loved. The house was extremely roomy and the guest house was perfect for giving everyone their own space.

Kiawah is a beautiful pristine island. We enjoyed our stay. We rented bikes with beach carts. It was a quick and easy bike ride to the beach. The beach is not overcrowded like most beaches in the area. The house was clean and plenty of space for our group of ten. The kitchen was well equipped.

A great stay at Kiawah
This was a very spacious and clean home, which included a two bedroom guest house. The living areas were huge and the home also had two large screened in porches. Kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed for our family of 8. Fun to look for alligators out the back windows! Great proximity to the beautiful beach was another plus. All in all a great vacation stay.

Living the dream on Kiawah
This is a beautiful home. Checkin was easy. The home was extremely clean with all the comforts needed for a perfect vacation. The owners were very responsive and great with communication. This home is in a great neighborhood, close to the beach, with added bonus of a pond and a nearby dock on the marsh, if you want to experience a luxury stay on an amazing island, this is the place.

Spring Break Vacay
The house was lovely with ample room and sleep space. the screened in porch was awesome and allowed for great views and sounds during morning coffee. The kitchen set up well with ample cook and dining ware. Plenty of bathrooms. The location was idyllic -- like being on a tropical island. Short walk to the beach. If visitors are into golfing and biking the location may be more ideal. We sought daily outings and the distance to other spots and food shopping was lengthy. Cleanliness of home was OK but not to the level of cost of the rental--dining room table had chairs with covers that were soiled and needed to be watched, dirt and dust under counters, covers on living room furniture needed cleaning., patios needed sweeping. Also, the downstairs bedroom mattress was infested with bed bugs--one family member had substantive bites. This was not an issue that seemed to concern the owner which was disappointing. We left two days early due to two family members falling ill.

Quiet, peaceful setting with lots of room and easy access to the beach.
This house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We had our adult children, their spouses and our 9-month-old grandson with us, and the 2-bedroom guest house allowed the new parents and baby to have some quiet space but still be very close to the main house. The house was full of games to keep us entertained, and it was great being so close to a wonderful section of the beach. We owned a house on Kiawah for many years which was a little further from the beach and didn't realize what a difference it would make having the beach a short walk away. In the past, we focused on spending time on the golf courses, but on this trip we added a long walk on the beach each day to our activities which made our time there even more special.

A perfect week!
410 Ocean Oaks was a perfect fit for our annual Kiawah vacation this year. Clean, well-appointed, and thoughtfully decorated- it was a comfortable place to rest after island activities. Having the 2 bedroom guest house really gave each family their own space to recharge. We had young children with us and they loved playing in the courtyard and riding bikes in the cul-de-sac. We were easily able to entertain friends for dinner. The beach is a short walk away and the location is ideal for uncrowded bike rides and beach walks. HIGHLY recommend this property. It really shows off what Kiawah has to offer!

great house for a big group with easy beach access
We love Kiawah and have gone there many times over the years. Lately we have been staying at various houses in Vanderhorst. But frankly its a pain getting the crew and equipment to the beach from most houses. this house is right across the street from the Kiawah owner's beach club and you can walk to Boardwalk 40 beach in 5 minutes. you could only be closer by being in a house on the beach.
The house itself is spacious and nicely appointed with a huge master suite, good- sized guest bedrooms with comfortable bedding and bathrooms for each bedroom. The kitchen and eating area offer modern appliances and plenty of space for a large group. The main house has 3 bedrooms and a separate guest quarters has another two bedrooms, living area and bath. It offers a lot of options for housing a multi generational group/ family.
The Coleman's (i mainly dealt with Dennis) were excellent hosts and were always accessible and helpful with our many questions. The Ocean Course is a 5 minute drive down the road- eating dinner on the patio is our favorite Kiawah activity.
Being this far out gives you the opportunity to see the farthest out areas of the island.
We had a great stay. Kiawah's beach is as nice as you will find in the USA.

Overall great experience but had a few issues
My family and I really enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely home in a great location. The house was clean upon arrival and check in was very easy. And Angela was quick to respond to any questions which was great. But there were a few issues we discovered the first day. First, there was no WiFi in the guest house, which we weren’t told beforehand. This was very important to us because my sister with a baby who needs quiet to sleep (why we put them in the guest house) has a WiFi enabled baby monitor. They were able to set up a hotspot with her husbands phone but then he wasn’t able to have his phone for hours during the day while baby was sleeping. The WiFi in the main house was also very spotty. We weren’t able to receive phone calls or send texts unless we walked out on the front porch. Several other issues we had were ceiling fans not working, the jets in the master bath tub didn’t work, missing light bulbs from lamps, and not enough towels for the amount of guests upon arrival. By no means did any of this ruin the trip for us, but when you pay >7k for a week in a house, these things should be taken care of before guest arrival. I will say that Angela was quick to address any issues she was able to fix though. She sent someone out to try to fix the fan but they weren’t able to. She also sent someone to fix issues we were having with the TV and had the property manager drop off more towels. But like I said before, problems like this really shouldn’t be a problem in the first place. On the other hand, some of the things we loved about this house were the amazing bed porch swings, the abundance of board games, a fully stocked kitchen, and the ping pong table in the garage. Overall, we were happy with our stay and had a great family vacation.

Wonderful!
Perfect for our week away! So easy to get to the beach. Set up for the house was perfect for my husband and son who had to co to us to work from home while we were there. The house was lovely and the layout is a perfect one for extended family or multiple families.

Great space
This is a wonderful home with plenty of space, beautiful furnishings and close access to bike trails and the beach. We enjoyed it thoroughly.

Comfortable and relaxing atmosphere
While we enjoyed our stay, operating the tv remotes was less than optimal. We installed new batteries in the remote in the master bedroom but were only able to turn the tv on with it-unable to change channels. The charger in the master bedroom was not for that remote. By the way the kitchen outlet next to the sink (left side) did not work. There was no response when called the POC for assistance. We would recommend for others since we enjoyed our stay otherwise and found the accommodations very relaxing.

Beautiful home, excellent family vacation!
We absolutely loved our stay here. The home was beautifully decorated, and extremely comfortable. Screen porch was my favorite. Each of our three families had our own little space with a great common area. We rented bikes and bike trailers for the kids (highly recommend), and it was a very short bike or walk to the beach. The extra fridge in the garage was a huge help! Pantry had some extra staples, which was wonderful. We mostly cooked at the house and had everything we needed. We would definitely rent this house again. Also, we liked that the house did not have direct access from the back of the house to the lagoon so we didn’t have to worry about our little ones getting out near the water (you’d have to walk around from front of the house). Would recommend stocking up on groceries before you settle in since it is a 20-25 min drive to the Harris Teeter.

Great home for a group of friends.....
We had a great long weekend in Kiawah - perfect home for a girls weekend. A big thank you to the owners!! The house is well appointed, centrally located and very accommodating if you want to gather as a group or have a moment of peace.

We loved our stay in this beautiful home on Kiawah Island, perfect for our family.
This Kiawah Island home was perfect for our family, comfortable, spacious, beachy chic decor, and a very private location in a court just a three minute bike ride to the beach. We have visited Kiawah for many years, sometimes twice a year, this home ranks at the top of our list. We absolutely loved that we could all fit around the wonderful, rustic dining table right off the kitchen overlooking the pond. Great View!! The ping pong table in the garage got a daily workout. Having an extra refrigerator in the garage came in handy for storing our water and drinks. The porch swings off the master were perfect for girlie chats or just relaxing after a busy day at the beach. Our grandson and son in law caught some nice redfish. We were lucky to witness 76 baby turtles leaving their nest and head for the ocean, with the help from the turtle patrol, great memories, lots of photos and fun!! We can't wait to stay in this great home again sometime soon. MG IN VIRGINIA

Go ahead and book it!!!
It was our first time at Kiawah Island and it's an amazing place to stay. The landscaping is so lush and the location of the house is super close to the beach. We had 8 adults and this house had plenty of room for us to relax and hang out in the living room. The kitchen and dining room is perfect for entertaining big groups. The beds are comfortable and the linens and towels are top notch. I loved the beach - not crowded and beautiful. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Kiawah home!
This is the second year we've stayed in this home and, after coming to Kiawah for close to 25 years, this home is by far the nicest home in which we've stayed. The location is a short walk to the beach and can be both secluded from and close to everything you could need, dependent on what you want! The home is classically decorated with a relaxed beach feel, you'll truly feel you're at home and won't want to leave! Additionally, the owner is truly great and very easy with which to arrange and accomodate needs that arise. You'll never want to leave Kiawah or this home!

Beautiful home, great location
This was one of the nicest homes we've ever rented. The open layout of the living/kitchen/screen porch was great for family gatherings. The entire house was beautifully decorated and well-equipped. The master suite was huge and the additional porch off of it was so comfortable with the suspended Carolina swings. The guest house was a perfect place for our two adult boys. It took less than 5 minutes to walk to the beach, but most of the time we rode bikes so it was even quicker. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with. I hope to rent this home again when we return to Kiawah.
