A very pleasant week spent discovering a new area. The barn had everything we needed and was warm and comfortable. Highly recommended and we hope to return to continue exploring this beautiful part of England. Five star recommendation from us. 👍

We had a wonderful stay here. Its locationed in a central spot for sight seeing. Lots of places to eat near. A very good true traditional fish and chip place in the viliage. A great view of the country side and canal in the back. Over we loved our stay here.

Incredible hosts and immaculate cottage!
Matt and Amanda are wonderful hosts; available for any questions or help ... including directing us to get a sick child to medical help after hours and checking in on our little one after our trip to the hospital. They are quite knowledgeable about many things in the surrounding areas. They had the cottage stocked with a few things basics to help get guests through their first night and morning, in case we arrived after stores had closed. The kitchen is well-stocked for cooking; the beds were VERY comfortable: and the shower had great water pressure! The back patio is lovely for eating breakfast or dinner outside, with a lovely view over fields. We were lucky enough to be there when the sheep arrived in the nearby pasture and enjoyed hearing their gentle bleating in the afternoons. We are already looking at our long-term calendar to see when we can manage to return ... this visit was only eight days, but one could easily be very much at home and comfortable staying much longer. Thank you for a most enjoyable and peaceful visit, Matt and Amanda!

quiet getaway
We were very impressed. The property was warm, spacious and comfortable. The owners had put a Christmas tree up and a few tasteful decorations around. Braunston is very close to our daughter and her family. We were able to visit her and come 'home' for a cosy, comfortable rest. We appreciated the welcome pack and particularly liked the hot water bottles.
The property was exceptionally well equipped. We would not hesitate to book again and are happy to recommend.

I think we've found our home away from home.
This was a beautiful property, very well-appointed, warm (we went in January), in a beautiful little village within a stone's throw of Rugby (closer still to Daventry). Glad we found it! Matt and Amanda were very understanding with our punctuated stay.

Ideal for a short break in the South Midlands
Chestnut Barn was an ideal place to stay for my wife, daughter and myself. Everything one could realistically need for a short break in the area, with shops, pubs and restaurants a short walk way, and larger centres at a short drive. Well situated for numerous tourist attractions (e.g., Warwick Castle, Stratford upon Avon, Bletchely Park, etc)
The barn itself was very clean and well presented, with a comprehensive welcome pack of groceries (and - a very nice touch - a small bottle of prosecco for our wedding anniversary from the owners). It's clearly been very well refurbished, and beds and other furnishings were of a high standard, and very comfortable. Freeview TV was enhanced by the inclusion of an Amazon FireTV stick, allowing access to streamed content over the reasonably-good WIFI.
All in all, a very enjoyable break in accommodation of a high standard.

Stunning Barn and Location
An extremely well equipped barn. Beautifully finished and takes great advantage of light with large picture windows and small atrium. An original layout which provides for luxurious, comfortable and relaxing areas. Outside area has stunning views of surrounding fields and the picturesque canal. Worth every penny.

Excellent Holiday!
Lovely cottage owned by a very lovely couple. Matt and Amanda were very friendly and welcoming and leave lots of nice extras (the biscuits and cake were delicious!) They're always on hand to ask any questions and quick to resolve any problems (although we personally didn't have any issues!)
Excellent location for Warwick Castle, Stratford Upon Avon and a trip to the Cotswold villages.
Not a negative but just to be aware that this property directly faces the opposite cottage (occupied by the loveliest woman we've ever encountered) and is in the path of the middle cottages route to the gate and there are no blinds on the living room window so be aware when moving from the downstairs bathroom to the upstairs bedroom after a long soak in the amazing bath tub! We had no issues but if total privacy is what you're after be aware if any other guests passing wanted to peek in, they easily could. The downstairs bedroom was perfect for my mother as there were only a couple of steps for her to navigate after a long day walking. Although in close proximity the cottages are placed so noise isn't a problem at all and the little touches in the patio spaces are lovely! Couldn't recommend this property enough! 10 out of 10 from us! Thank you Matt and Amanda!

Luxury!
Absolutely beautiful little cottage in a lovely location. We stayed here with our two children for four days and had a wonderful time. The cottage is equipped with everything you need, everything was brand new and spotlessly clean with a beautiful luxury bath. Both beds were very very comfortable, and even the bedding was of a luxury standard. Not far from local attractions and the surrounding area was very beautiful! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing, five star break! Thank you Amanda and Matt!

Fabulous Barn fitted to a high standard
Location wise it was ideal with good access to main roads if youre using it as a base. With the benefit of a village setting. Superb facilities in nearby daventry and a short walk from local pubs and village store.
The barn is beautifully fitted out to a fabulous standard. Warm and very comfortable The bathroom is amazing - definitely try out the bath ! and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble if we needed anything from Matt and Amanda the owners.
Would heartily reccomend !
