Amazing stay at westfjord

Spacious, clean, nicely decorated, lots of cooking utensils, comfortable, very quiet around, with balcony, great value for money

There’s literally no one else living around at night, which is ok to me.

Buena opcón

La ubicación es buena, cerca de la carretera. Nos alojamos en la cabaña 1. Es una cabaña bonita y cómoda. El salón tiene una gran ventana desde la que se veía todo el campo, ideal para ver las auroras boreales nocturnas.

La cocina era diminuta, muy incómoda. El fregadero era tan pequeño que era difícil fregar los platos. Hubiéramos agradecido que las luz exterior de la cabaña 2 (que estaba vacia) hubiera estado apagada porque hubo auroras boreales y se hubieran visto mejor.

A warm shelter facing toward the ocean and embracd by trees

Well organized and equipped in such small space; big windows; location at the edge of the area with trees.

As in many other accomodation in Iceland we have not met the host, so we can not say how she is except that, following our reservation, she sent us very detailed and useful information to arrive on site.

Rustic cabin feel but with all the modern amenities and friendly hosts.

Modern amenities in the cabin (including towel warmers!) with a rustic feel all around (farmhouse). Very helpful and friendly host - helped with directions and late check-in.

A little short on moving space, felt cramped (we were 2 adults and 2 children).

beautiful place to stay, feels isolated and pristine, a perfect start to the westfjords

a great spot, very quiet with excellent view. cottage was compact, but nice and new, had everything we needed. host was accessible, but respected our privacy. WiFi was inconsistent, but didn’t miss it, having spent all day traveling just to get to a place that was out of the way. enjoyed doing puzzles instead!

Cosy cottage in a peaceful setting

The cottage was cosy and in a quiet location. The rooms, bedding and towels were clean, and Maria offered to change the bedding and towels mid-way through our five nights' stay. Hagi 2 was ideally placed for exploring the southern and central areas of the West Fjords. The view from the property was nice and we were able to use the table and chairs on the decking for a couple of meals in the warm sunshine. The cottage was comfortable for two, but I think it would be challenging for four adults to share the space.

The tiny sink in the kitchen was difficult to use especially as the large tap did not swivel out of the way. The inside of the microwave needed a good clean.

Cosy little cottage close to the ferry

A cute little house close to the ferry harbour. A fine place for one night stay for 2 adults + 2 children (could have been a bit too tiny for 4 adults + all luggage). The tiny kitchen contained all we needed , so did the bathroom. Easy check-in/out, a parking place for the car right next to the house. Very quiet night - would be glad to stay again.

Really Quiet place in middle Of the western Fjords!

Superb location next to the farm and a church in middle of nowhere. Not far from the ferry Harbor. Really quiet tiny house with bathroom, small kitchen, small room and sofa bed for the kids . Some chocolates on arrival, thanks.

No contact with the hosts but it is actually not needed …

There were not too many options to stay in this part of Iceland. We loved the hut and the location and it suited is perfectly (family of four visiting in July).

Kitchen is a bit small and the grill is half broken but we did manage to grill some meat and veg. A new grill would improve things a lot.

Cute little hut in a nice location for the Western Fjords.

Too small for 3 people. Kitchen very tiny. Beds all uncomfortable.

Very cozy Super cute cabin.

This cabin was super cute. The photos don’t do justice. I recommend updating the photos. When we booked this place it was because it was our only option around the area. We weren’t expecting much from looking at the photos, but when we got there that changed. The cabin was so cute. My friends wanted to live in a cabin like this. It was small but enough space for 3. Very cozy. I like that there was an option to watch netflix. We enjoyed a visit from their dog. Super cute dog.

There were a few small dead flys on the roll up curtains. If you roll it out you will see them. Also, a giant fly was flying around, we had to kill and a tiny beetle 🪲 on the table while we ate. The coffee maker looked dirty and old. May need replacement.

This was a great little home on a farm. It's right off Route 1. It has a full kitchen - make sure you bring food if you plan to eat as there is nothing close by. The home has big windows and would be great for watching northern lights.

A great value cabin

Great location, nice view, outdoor patio could be very comfortable in summer time, though we are not able to use it because it is too cold. Cozy room, spacious living area and comfortable bed and Beddings. Kitchen and bathroom are little tiny but serve the function. Great value.

Tight space in bedroom, but manageable. Small kitchenette but workable. A grater and sieve would be useful and maybe a tray for draining washing up?

Vary nice cabin

The cabin is very nice and in a beautiful location, very close to the main road. The cabin was unexpectedly big, it has very comfortable bad room, a nice living room, an open kitchen and, of course, a bathroom. Everything was spotless clean. The check in and check out were contactless, but our host was very communicative and gave us all the details on how to find them. We really enjoyed staying here and we would stay again, but next time we would stay more then one night. :)

Great house in the nature

The house is very nice, clean, a lot of nice details and all that you need for a comfort stay. It’s situated in the wonderful environment, in the nature. The host gave us all the information needed, we were sorry not to meet her by person. A place to stay some more days and enjoy all that it has to offer. 🤩
