The location
It smelt as we went in. (We immediately put our plug in air freshener into the wall and left it on high the whole time) net curtains were torn, excessive amount of mildew was on the bathroom and bedroom windows. We were only given a one small bath towel each and two hand towels for the week there were no spares to be found. No hand towel was in the kitchen. The wardrobe had a box of old heated rollers and other things that in this day and age nobody would use. The freezer had opened packets of food and frozen solid to the floor of the freezer this took some removal. (This was reported immediately and was removed the same day). The toaster tray was full of crumbs and on shaking the toaster it was obvious it had not been cleaned for a very long time, we felt we could not use it. Cheese was found up the grater and not a single chopping knife was sharpe, no sharpener was to be found. Some of the large plates had to be scrubbed very hard with a Brillo pad to remove stains. The lounge wall had a long crack behind the sofa and in one place the paint was pealing. Attention to detail is very important and the small things always matter, this is down to the owner and cleaner to make sure that every visitor has the best experience.

Very helpful host. Excellent location. All facilities good.
Quiet and interesting location.
Good parking nearby.
The stairs are a challenge for those with mobility issue.
The sofa is uncomfortable and I think could do with replacing. Perhaps the carpet too. Both a bit tired.

Location. Nice town.
This place needs a jolly good clean! Dreadfully disappointed that other reviews made little/no mention of the filth in almost every nook (as seen in the bedroom and bathroom photos attached). The bed was too small and having been asked to remove the linen on departure, I was revolted at the stains upon the duvet!
We ended up leaving a day earlier than booked as I felt increasingly uncomfortable in this house. From the damp smell on entry, to the mould and cobwebs in the bathroom, this house is in desperate need of a deep clean.
We will not be returning and I would warn anyone with any modicum of hygiene standards to avoid this place at all costs!

Centrally located, convenient, homely, comfortable property. Good to have a cooker and hob as well as a microwave; good size fridge-freezer, well equipped kitchen, making self-catering easy. Roomy bedroom, well appointed bathroom.
No recycling facilities at the property.

The cottage was very warm and cosy. Everything you needed was supplied - even the oven gloves! Very good location just off the high street, offering shops, restaurants, pubs, takeaways etc. Very convenient to walk along the River Severn. The cottage was big enough to accommodate 2 people and a dog. Never actually met the host, Ruth but she kept in touch with us by phone to make sure everything was fine for our lovely and restful weekend break.
Nothing to dislike.

Location was great, although it’s very busy! The launderette is opposite and is open until late at night.
I’m sorry to say this cottage is filthy, I didn’t cook as everything was old and greasy nothing had been cleaned properly, there is a smell of mildew in the kitchen cupboards and damp coming through the walls, the carpets throughout the property are filthy and desperately need changing! Hand rail up the stairs is black with grime and the shower head has pink mould coming through bathroom tiles are filthy and have black mould growing on the grouting the bath is stained from the bath mat which is also filthy, needless to say I didn’t use the shower, had to use baby wipes until I got home.

The cottage was full of character and felt welcoming and homely . The location in the small, friendly town of Llanidloes was perfect for exploring the local area as well as the town itself.
Not really a “dislike “ but the chair and sofa are a bit low for anyone (like me )who has had a hip replacement . Both were lower than usual height for chairs / sofas but this was minor

A really lovely authentic cottage . Warm and cosy . Great location, super market town and a warm welcome from the host.
Would recommend.
As a minor point , the sofa could have been bigger , achievable with a smaller dining table.
