Kitchen was lovely but wasn’t fully equipped ie no baking trays or pans, nice view, comfy bed
A lot of flies due to a lot of horse poo everywhere around the property, we saw no one at all from us arriving to us leaving the property, there were no bins, tv didn’t work upstairs, bathroom floor flooded after using the shower, floor tiles we all broken, couldn’t use bbq as it was very dirty and rusty.

We liked that the garden was enclosed and that we were next to the field with the horses.
Parts of the property were quite run down and needed updating. Although a lot of areas were clean, a lot of areas let it down. We were constantly swatting flies out. There was various stains on the carpet and rug which made us question the overall cleanliness. My dog kept going to sniff the curtains which most likely indicates other dogs have urinated up them. It was quite musky, out dated. Outside was really unkept fences just outside were broken, there was horse faeces all over the owners decking area and we couldn’t really see a sea view but a view into the neighbouring properties and campsite.

Absolutely loved it. Nice quiet location within driving distance of food, beaches, lakes and dog walks.

It was quite remote so very peaceful but only a short drive to Solva and the hot tub and cottage was lovely. Some really good walks.
The area. Solva has a very pretty harbour but the restaurants aren’t up to much and everywhere looks a little run down. High street is virtually non existent for shops and St David’s was no better which was surprising seeing as it is a city. Think there are too many holiday cottages and local economy has suffered because of it.

bathroom and bed room not on the same level

The property was spacious, kitchen was well equipped and plenty of facilities. The hot tub was fab and great to relax in after a long day of walking. The living room was comfortable and well equipped with Tv, Sky and DVDs for relaxing in the evening.
unfortunately the linens had a damp smell and there was also a damp smell in the bedroom. We had contacted the owner and they have changed the pillows. Unfortunately the smell still lingered and we think it was down to the linens not being dry properly, some of the towels also had a damp smell to them.

Loved the privacy and quiet/tranquil rural setting. Great and secure enclosed garden for the dogs which was one of the major factors when booking. Baby gate helped keep the dogs downstairs. Off the beaten track but still with all the modern amenities. A shop approx 5/8 min drive away. Kitchen and bathroom are modern with most needs catered for. Sky tv. Waking up to the horses a huge bonus. Great to recharge the batteries!
Nothing negative to say generally as its about personal preferences and taste, any personal comments would only be to make it up to more of a 5 star stay from a 4 star stay. No need to complain or ask for anything during the stay. A Welcome book with local suggestions, shops and places to visit maybe a good idea especially for people who have not done the research before visiting (like us). Googled one corner shop (which wasnt actually shop but a private farm) so took us a short while and drive to find something else but once we did all was fine.
Bedroom was quite warm at night as it was a pretty hot week. But we took a tower fan with us expecting this scenario. Couldnt open the windows at night due to artillery fire in the distance that the MOD planned for that week. Very faint sounds but with windows open you could hear it especially at night which we understand was unavoidable and not within the owners control.

very cosy despite there being a storm blowing during our stay. Excellent base to explore the St Davids area.
Not great if you like a walk to the pub. Solva is only about 1.5 miles away but these are country roads and not very safe.
