Friends overnight stay

Lovely clean rooms. Comfy beds. Excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and would return.

Only thing we all thought was the lighting was dark near the long mirrror where we all dried/straightened hair. Minor detail though!

Not a 4 star hotel

Nice lobby.

Uncomfortable beds, small double bed. The room was dusty, the sink was dirty. We paid the breakfast in the reception the night before,but the staff from the restaurant not able to see that and they had a rude attitude. No minibar.

We have stayed here on many occasions now , beds extremely large and comfy, bathroom lovely amazing shower all amazing which is why we keep coming back. At least 7 stays now

Das Personal war freundlich. Die Betten sehr bequem. Frühstück war alles vorhanden was man braucht

Frühstück soweit okay, aber es hätte evt. noch mehr Auswahl gegeben Fenster liessen sich nicht ganz schliessen deshalb war es eher laut da unser Zimmer zur Strasse lag

Sehr gute Lage, guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch der Stadt.

Lobby, Restaurant, Freundlichkeit des Personals, Parkmöglichkeit, Lage.

Die Bettengröße für 2 Erwachsene war etwas klein, zwei nicht funktionierende Lichtschalter. Gym und Spa standen leider nicht zur Verfügung.

Great hotel local to city centre and great quality

This hotel is amazing. Close to the city for easy access and clean stylish and welcoming . We use this all the time now and they are amazing to help. One of the few hotels that's big enough to take young kids and you aren't living in a closet sized room. The room has everything you need a fridge , microwave and plenty room to relax.

Hit and miss property

Location and nice looking hotel.

We stayed here previously and it was spotless, however on staying in a supposedly better room this time, we found it to be somewhat lacking in the cleanliness one would expect of such a room in an otherwise lovely hotel.

The food in the restaurant was lovely. I didn't think the breakfast was that appealing but that may have been because we went down towards the end of the breakfast rush.

I didn't like being in the Annexe on the ground floor and would have preferred to be in the main hotel on an upper floor.

Nice short break in central Aberdeen.

Lovely spacious room, warm, clean cosy - modern TV to enable casting easily from own device. Always nice to stay in interesting old buildings - once you figure out your way around this one!

omg why is the TV mounted so high on the wall in the living area! Also - no barista coffee...had to go to Greggs!

Not a great deal of service short on staff not availability for room service etc booked taxi for 8am was told at 8-15 am It would be 90 minutes not ideal when you have a business meeting

A comfortable stay in a nice, well located city centre hotel.

Modern, clean public areas and room. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Very pleasant staff.

Breakfast was average. Some fresh fruit and natural yogurt, but only one healthy cereal and the cooked breakfast (sausages, bacon, etc) was very dried up and not edible by the time I had breakfast at 9am.

Beautiful stay in a central location

Location of this hotel is perfect for an evening out with friends - very central, close to restaurants, bars and shops. Room is nice, fairly small but has everything you need.

Lovely luxery stay

Beautiful and very comfortable hotel. We really enjoyed our stay.

The bath tub was tiny, which was funny as the room was huge. The quality and diversity of the breakfast buffet could be better.

Excellent stay , highly recommended

Location great. Very clean and comfortable. Plenty of room - seating area table etc. Staff were very accommodating. I felt safe and secure. I will definitely visit again.

Es war ein angenehmer und interessanter Urlaub.

Die zentrale Lage und die einfache Nutzung von öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln war gute Vorraussetzung für Sightseeing Touren. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals hat den Aufenthalt angenehm gemacht.

Beim Frühstück hat mir der Obstsalat gefehlt.

Institutional feel to the hotel, but the bed was great.

The hotel is huge and has limited parking onsite. Initially we were given a very small room below street level looking straight onto the tail pipes of cars parked outside the window. We changed rooms and were given a much better room, but the windows only open a small amount and it was an extremely hot day! The king sized bed was very comfortable and we appreciated the coffee machine. The good water pressure in the shower was also a bonus.

The breakfast was disappointing. The food wasn't fresh and the selection was poor. The coffee offered was terrible.

Best stay we’ve had so far

We’ve been travelling around the UK/Ireland for the last six weeks and have stayed in dozens of hotels. This had been the best so far. Great location, comfortable bed, great shower and a fantastic restaurant down stairs. What makes it the best though, is the staff. We had washing to do as we hadn’t done laundry for a week. We dropped our laundry off at the front desk first thing and were told it’d be back that afternoon. The motel contacted us a couple of hours later and informed us that the laundry contractor wouldn’t be able to get the laundry done until late the next day. No good to us as we were checking out early. But we were desperate to get it done. We were back at the motel around lunch time and asked to collect our dirty washing only to be told that one of the staff (Sharon) had decided she would do our washing for us, amazing. We were travelling with another couple as well which doubled the amount…..(and the motel didn’t even bill us for it, but we left a tip off course for Sharon) Thank you Sandman for outstanding service during our stay. Your front of house staff are amazing helpful and very friendly.
