About this house rental
"BEST VALUE IN TOWN WITHOUT COMPROMISE"
The property is positioned close to historic Milton Park and walking distance to Bong Bong Race course.
A perfect place for family reunions, golfing events, wedding guests, girls weekends or any other event where many bedrooms are required.
Offering space (set on 2 acres) and privacy and still only 5 min drive to town, complimentary WIFI.
Sherwood Park is a large, beautifully furnished home in outstanding condition with 6 bedrooms and numerous living areas set on a magnificent 2 acres of landscaped lawns and gardens. Adjoining is a 50 acre reserve with wonderful walking tracks and rural views.
The single level, fully air conditioned, 6 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom design is both luxurious and with lots of cosy character for you to rug up with a glass of wine in front of the slow combustion wood heater.
There are 4 living areas:
* family and dinning for 12 off the large country kitchen, with slow combustion
wood heater (wood supplied)
* a formal lounge with gas heating, television and DVD player
* a sunroom
* a huge north facing covered patio furnished BBQ area with views across the gardens
Almost every window and each of the 2 sundrenched verandahs have views over the home's gardens.
The large country kitchen has a modern granite countertop, smeg appliances.
The kitchen is equipped with full sets of quality crockery and cutlery, microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, electric frypan, BBQ tools, toaster, kettle, champagne and wine glasses.
A complimentary continental breakfast is supplied for your first morning together with tea & coffee. There is also a cappuccino coffee maker.
There are enough quality beds to comfortably sleep 13 people. Each room is private and has views of the gardens.
* The main bedroom with bay window and ensuite is huge with a queen size bed,
3 seater lounge and TV.
* There is another huge queen size bedroom with it's own toilet and vanity with
access to the rear patio and garden.
* There are 2 extra double bedrooms and also 2 more with single beds.
The roomy laundry contains a washing machine. There is a clothesline in the backyard.
Outside, there is a sun-filled north/east facing very large covered patio including B.B.Q and outdoor furniture overlooking the fishpond and gardens. The gardens themselves are safely fenced and a wonderful place for adults and children to explore there is also a set of swings. You may even spot a couple of rabbits!
Visit the many excellent restaurants and alfresco cafes, just 5 minutes drive or cycle into town via the safe cycleway that traverses around Bowral.
Sherwood Park is ideally situated near 6 of the most scenic drives to Berrima, Bunndanoon, Robertson, Burrawang, Kiama and Kangaroo Valley.

Enjoy a game of golf at one of the many golf courses nearby.
Have a refreshing swim at the olympic pool in town.
Bring your pushbikes for an invigorating ride along the many bike tracks around and beyond Bowral or simply enjoy a morning walk along the scenic bush trails in the adjoining 50 acre reserve where you are likely to enjoy the sight of a kangaroo or two not to mention the abundant bird life, or simply relax in the peaceful private environment that Sherwood Park provides.

Great accommodation and garden surrounds. Requires some TLC to enhance for contemporary guests. Considering rates for home, disappointing to cover furniture /tables with cheap plastic and carpet square over main carpeted living room. This implies lack of trust in guests. No basic bread or cheese boards, very few modern utensils for food presentation in-house, very basic at best. Few matching plates or crockery. Magazines from 2001-2011 on tables. If trying to offer modern ambience then audit/ updates of amenities required. Garaging and front entrance door all locked which if hot or inclement weather is not user friendly. In particular if an emergency, no front door access could be problematic. Overall large comfortable floor plan with good bedrooms and bathrooms for large family or friends.

Family Xmas in July for older siblings
We loved the property, well maintained and spacious. Garden beautiful, can imagine how wonderful it would look if it hadn't been raining so much.
Lots of places to sit in groups inside and outside. Could do with an extra shower, with 8 adults and 2 showers lots of queueing. We were surprised by the cleaning fee which is hidden in house rules, no mention was made of it when we booked. We would stay again as the location and presentation make it a great property. Love a fireplace and plenty of wood was provided.

A welcoming and warm place to stay
We arrived to find the fire alight and warming the house nicely on a cold July day. It is quite large and the eleven of us (eight adults and three children) fitted in quite nicely. The kitchen is well equipped. The yard outside looked inviting, but it was too wet for us to take advantage. All in all, a great place for a family stay.

Bowral Retreat
We booked Sherwood Park for our Book Club retreat. It was wonderful. We walked in to the fire burning and a cake with a bundle of supplies to enjoy. It was a sprawling home with plenty of room to spread out. Could have done with another shower. It was older style but everything was spotless. The area was quiet and we enjoyed walking round the neighbourhood. A lovely place to unwind.

Beautiful country home
I can highly recommend a stay at Sherwood Park. The house has plenty of space for a large group stay and is surrounded by beautiful gardens in a quiet street that is a short (7mins) drive to Bowral town centre.

Comfortable house for a large group
I rented this house for 11 members of my family arriving for my son’s wedding and it was comfortable for everyone.
The house is surrounded by a beautiful and well-maintained garden. It created a wonderful background to family photos. We did not have time to use two additional internal living areas but the main room was big enough for our group. The linen and towels were white and crispy. Plenty of toilet paper for our 4 nights stay.
No access to garages but plenty of car park spaces outside.
No Wi-Fi, but for our busy wedding weekend it was not essential. My family was happy.

An unloved ,unkept property in an expensive market utterly disappointed
As we drove in ,I knew immediately by the unkept garden beds the weeds and overgrown grass this was unloved house
We choose this home because of its large garden most of the roses were dead and you couldn't go outside because of water logged grass which was knee high. NO Wi Fi ,no washing up utensils 3rolls of toilet paper in the house that we could find for 11 people!! we paid a lot for this and they knew my son was getting married and photos would be taken in the garden which was uninhabitable . We were so disappointed ,no access to garages , The little garbage bin was full ( 2 days after the collection date ,before we moved in)so we had nowhere to put our garbage except in big garbage bags next to the bin I have never written such a scathing review but for the money I spent , other people need to know And I would like to see this review on the Platform

Large property set in a lovely garden.
A very comfortable home in a quiet location. The beds and bedding were lovely and the showers hot!
Lots of seating outdoors and a wonderful garden too.
This property is only a few minutes outside the centre of Bowral.
The plastic on the tables we found to be odd. We thought that placemats would be more appropriate.
Overall, a highly recommended property.

Fantastic house
We stayed here with a group and the house met all of our needs. The outdoor space was fabulous and despite the weather being off and on we were still able to enjoy the large covered outdoors the entire time. The gardens are beautiful and the location is private and quiet.

Very well presented and comfortable.
The property can accomodate 11 people very comfortably, 13 at a squeeze. It is a distance from town so a car is a necessity. We gathered for a family reunion and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly, feeling very much at home. Unfortunately there is only one oven which could cook a lamb roast for 8 but any more would be difficult. The kitchen was well presented and our host kindly left some essentials which was very much appreciated.

Bowral weekend
We had a warm and comfortable weekend with a welcoming fire already prepared! As a group of 8 mature adults we were disappointed that 2 of the single beds were better suited to children (one being a fold up bed) and think this should be in the description of the bedding arrangements as the photos do not give that impression.

What a fabulous spot!
We were in Bowral for a girls' weekend. What a wonderful house. We all got a room, the house was warm, well stocked with wood and perfect for sitting around, chatting and enjoying the grounds and gardens. Thank you! We would absolutely come back to use this house again! Olga was fantastic with communication too!
