About this cabin rental
This historic log camp (early 1900's) on the North shore of Rangeley Lake has a new log addition which includes a modern kitchen, 1.5 baths, and a washer/dryer. There is a Jotul gas log stove in the original camp, and a Rinnai gas heater in the new addition.
This 2-bedroom/1.5-bath cabin is just 75 feet from the lake with a non-motorized boat launch/shared access swimming area 100 feet from the cabin. There is also a deck and dock that is shared with our three rental cabins (properties #217363 and #217364, Awahnee and Loon cabins). Birches, maples, cedars, and pines surround the cabin. Abundant raspberries and blueberries in season can be found all along nearby walking trails. Enjoy frequent deer and other wildlife sightings, including the occasional moose. Hear loons at night.
Like many seasonal cabins on Rangeley, Pearl draws its water from the lake. This is fine for dishes, showers, laundry, etc., but we recommend purchasing drinking water or obtaining it at a nearby spring (containers and directions provided).
AVAILABLE MID-MAY THROUGH MID-OCTOBER
DirecTV/DVD for rainy days/cabin fever.

We love this cabin so much that we already booked it for next year. The cabin is set up nicely with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen is well appointed. There’s a nice seating area on the deck and another around a fire pit (with free wood!). The deck by the lake is a great place to see the sunset.

We loved staying at Pearl Cottage
It was a very tranquil and relaxing stay the cottage was lovely and directions to get to the cottage were very clear even for someone like me that doesn’t know left and right
Thank you for sharing this beautiful place with us

The house was clean and is in a great spot on the lake. There was plenty of room for the 4 adults staying in the camp. I would be more than happy to stay there again in the future.

This group of three cute and rustic cabins accommodated our family of 12 beautifully. The water access was perfect for swimming and fishing. Host was very responsive and flexible. The terrain was challenging for some of our older family members due to steep incline to cabins and water. The cabins were not cleaned properly, which was concerning and uncomfortable. Would definitely stay again if the cleanliness was addressed.

Delightful cozy cabin perfectly situated in the woods right by Rangeley Lake! Loons calling, birds singing, beautiful sights of the lake and Bald Mountain ay sunset.
The cabin is well equipped and rustic so time indoors is comfortable and enjoyable.
The host was super helpful and communicated very quickly.
Have been to this charming cabin before and will return again!

There was nobody else around that was awesome.

We could not have found a more perfect spot on a Maine lake for peace and quiet. Even with cloudy skies almost all of the week, we had a great time swimming, kayaking and just sitting listening to the water lap up on shore. David was very responsive and easy to work with. This is somewhere I would definitely stay again

Property was perfectly located nestled lakeside but still close to downtown and lots of great hikes. Home had everything we could need. Great stay!

Enjoyed staying at this quaint cottage style camp. The older portion of the cottage (build in 1900's)provided sleeping for four -(queen bed, twin bed and pull out sofa) which was perfect for my son, daughter -in -law and their two children. My grandkids loved the T.V .and DVD with lots of family movies to choose from. The newer portion of the cottage featured a loft bedroom with 1/2 bath which was perfect and comfortable for myself and husband -large windows provided nice view of the lake and waking up to the sounds of loons, and birds was relaxing and added to the charm of this cottage, A semi modern kitchen with gas stove and refrigerator and dining area was perfect for cooking and eating family breakfast,The kitchen was well equipped with kitchen necessaries, coffee pot, pots and pans, toaster and microwave. After we left the property I realized that I may have left fruits and veggies in the crispers of fridge which I had mistakenly forget to clean out before leaving!-I felt bad about this as I am pretty self conscious about cleaning us before we leave a property! The bathrooms were both clean and the shower worked great! Lots of books and games were available to read and play in the evening. Sitting on the deck of the cottage and on the boat dock were wonderful ways to enjoy morning coffee and watch wildlife on the lake and enjoy fishing ! A canoe, kayaks, children kayak and paddle board provided time to be out on the water and explore the lake.

We loved staying at this cabin! The old original cabin was perfect for my daughters family, with two 3 year old girls. My husband and I stayed in the newer addition. All very comfortable, with a great selection of books a available for the girls, and adults too. It felt like a family lakeside camp because it clearly was! We daily made use of the shared dock and little pebble swim area, and explored trails on nearby conservation lands. We were thrilled when a raft of 7 loons passed by in front of the dock, and on another day a very large group of mergansers swam by in front of the swim area. Neighbors are close, but all were courteous. We definitely would like to come again.

We had a wonderful time at David's cabin on the lake. My husband & our small dog stayed a week and we had our parents come to visit us. We enjoyed the lake views, the porch overlooking the water was perfect for when it was windy as the trees provided protection from the wind. (Great place to read and have morning coffee!) The shared dock was large enough to practice yoga on and we never had an issue with others using it when we wanted to sit there. We loved kayaking to Hunters Cove and hiked around the area a bit too. Saw a moose on the Hunters Cove Uplands trail! I love the Cascade Gorge trail and all the beautiful waterfalls there (a little steep and rocky in spots but fairly easy). And we walked the Mingo Springs bird walk which was lovely. Lots of cool things to do in nature here and good food in town too! Moose Alley had an awesome breakfast.
The cabin was clean and comfortable and the bed upstairs was very nice! David was a great host and very responsive to all our questions. There are 3 other cabins pretty close by, one on the right, left, and above Pearl Cottage. All on a steep hillside. Just in case you want total privacy, this is near other cabins. But it was still peaceful, serene and the other renters were respectful and friendly. We would come back again and we highly recommend David's cabin for a beautiful Maine get away! Thank you David!

This was our second visit to Pearl Cottage during COVID! It was so relaxing, listening and watching the loons on the lake, hiking, fishing and swimming. When we arrived for check in the cabin was not ready this visit; so we reached out to David and got an immediate response from him. Everything was taken care of by 6 and we were able to settle in for our stay.
We got to meet David during our stay and really appreciate his candor and attention to our needs.
Great place to stay! We highly recommend Pearl Cottage!

The property was nice,...the grass was cut toward the end of our stay (unfortunately it was cold & raining by then).
Would suggest the trail to the dock be made a bit more accessible as it was slippery & a bit precarious ...the view was beautiful...saw a rainbow!

It's our second time renting out this property and it's still as beautiful as advertised.

The Pearl Cottage was great! The kitchen had everything! Everything was clean and ready for us. David gave us great instructions, and we loved the info about the spring. We got all our drinking water there. One minor thing for short people (me, 5 ft.): the mirrors in the bathrooms are really high - I could only see the very top of my head. So you might want to bring a collapsible stool if you are short or are bringing kids :-) Would love to come back again soon!

My boyfriend, Bella and I stayed at the Log Cabin Oct. 11-Oct. 14/2021. From the arrival until the sadly leaving time it was magical. The property has everything you need and more. From fully stock kitchen, bathrooms amenities, bed linens, blankets, comforters pillows, board games a bunch of them, movies, a lovely decor just as shown on pictures and some additional to grill, canoes, etc.
The view is amazing, is like a paradise, it’s located at a very decent distance from other cabins on the area which gives you privacy. Sunsets and sunrises are a mesmerizing, the smell of nature. Everything was amazing, I wouldn’t choose another cabin, specially since we have a dog and it seems like most locations on the area doesn’t allow pets.
David was always in contact, prompt to answer any questions I may had prior to our visit. We had an inconvenience with the original date which was June and where past cancellation time, I explained David the situation and asked if could switch dates to Oct. and he quickly fixed it for us. We really appreciated otherwise we would’ve lost our money and it turned out to be a better date and perfect place to celebrate my birthday. I think about our time there a lot, it was really amazing. Everything is relatively near by. There’s a nice restaurant with great customer service and affordable prices “Furbish Brew House & Eats” is the name. We explore a couple of trails and waterfalls; Small Falls, Coos Canyon, Angel Falls (my favorite). Ecopelagicon, is a gift shop near by above and beyond customer service, very friendly staff, pet friendly, nice products for gifting or to collect, worth the visits.
Overall perfect place to stay, wonderful places to visit and explore. We’re definitely going back.

This is a beautiful little camp on the shore of the lake. It has a second bedroom that could (and may have) served as a camp in it’s own right. The master bedroom is on a loft. Windows look out through the tree tops allowing awesome views of the stars and the moon during the night. But you may not spend much time watching the heavens because the bed is so comfortable you’ll quickly fall back to sleep. The kitchen is complete with everything that we needed. And as you sit in the living room enjoying your coffee you’ll admire the massive beams used in the construction of this beautiful camp.
