A Wonderful Week
Our destination was easily found because Manola had given us very good directions. The property is well hidden from the main road so there were lovely walks to take right from the house. My 88 year old cousin and I couldn't have asked for a more convenient or friendlier place to stay. There was everything we needed in the apartment, the views of the landscape and Montepulciano were breathtaking, the town was a 3-minute drive away, which made it easy to explore. Then we set out to see more of the region and came home each evening to our comfy little place. Words cannot describe the owners who were welcoming, helpful and discreet, simply beautiful people, and I must add that we had chosen a good time of the year to visit Tuscany because the weather was perfect. I hope to return again. We had a wonderful week.

wonderful!
Wonderful apartment house in a splendid, very stylishly renovated small estate, close to Montepulciano and yet extremely quite. Very very nice pool area, plenty of outdoor seating facilities and breathtaking views to Montepulciano and the vinyards. The location is great for visiting the south of Tuscany - and Montepulciano is surely one big highlight! Supermarket, restaurants and gas station are all close-by ... and not to forget plenty of great wineries and wine shops. Most of all, Manola and her family are lovely hosts. She prepared us some delicious bruschetta and Vino Nobile at our arrival and she really takes care of her guests. We were treated like a part of the family during our stay, and this is what makes the difference after all. We'll come back!

Everything you dream about in a Tuscan Farmhouse
My cousin and I traveled to Tuscany in early October. This was a once in a lifetime trip for my cousin and we wanted the ambience to be perfect. We were not disappointed. This charming farmhouse with its converted stables was the perfect place to land for touring through Tuscany. Incredible accommodations. Great little kitchen, views to die for, charm everywhere you look. Manola and her mother were the absolute best hostesses. We just couldn't have asked for a better experience. We even got cooking lessons and then served our meals while overlooking this beautiful countryside! I visited with my cousin, but this was the ultimate romantic get-away.

Perfect in every way
It's hard to put into words how wonderful this place is. The property is set among the most tranquil and beautifully maintained gardens, surrounded by beautiful Tuscan hills, vineyards, olive groves, with stunning views from the incredible infinity pool across a valley and up to Montepulciano and Montefollonico.
Manola and her parents are wonderfully kind and helpful hosts, getting the balance just right between making sure felt welcome and we had all the information we needed for a great stay, but also ensuring we felt we had privacy.
The apartment we stayed in was spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and with a a fantastic terrace where we had breakfast every morning looking across the stunning valley. We couldn't have asked for more.
It's ideally located for exploring southern Tuscany. You can walk to Montepulciano (or just hop in the car) with it's wonderful restaurants and medieval hilltop setting, and it's just a short drive from other must see towns such as Cortona, Pienza and Montalcino.
We feel we have found the perfect Tuscan villa and hope to be coming back for many years to come.
Thank you Manola and family.

Perfecto
We descended on Podere Poggio al Sole as a group of 5 adults and one very active one year old. After a long drive the first glimpse of the pool was amazing and the whole property was fantastic and every bit as lovely as the photos. I could not get over how wonderful it was to swim in the pool with such a fabulous view in front of you. Apartments were charming and the whole setting was magical. We visited Montepulciano, Montefollonico and Cortona and had some amazing meals. Manola and her Mother and Father were so welcoming and friendly and it felt like staying with friends. With the baby we spent most evenings eating outside in the garden with a stunning view in front of us. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We had very hot weather and such a lovely week - only tip would be to watch out for mosquitos in the evening. Thank you Manola

Outstanding experience!
We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful location and it lives up to everything that is says on the site. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly, both in waiting for us because we arrived late and in giving us tips for sightseeing. The apartment was stunning as were the views. We loved our stay and only wish we could have stayed longer. We feel that we made a friend and we would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful stay
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. We could not have been made to feel more welcome by Manola and her family. Manola was really helpful in us making the most of the local area with some great recommendations (and a loan of her map!). The cottage was lovely with everything required for a self catering stay. The gardens were immaculate too with the most beautiful views of the mountain and sunset. The area was stunning with lots to see and do. I cannot recommend the cottage and area highly enough - we can't wait to return next year.

Paradise in Tuscany
We stayed at the PODERE POGGIOALSOLE for 12 days and loved being there. Manola created a paradise; waking up in the apartment with stunning views over the valley and distant hills feels like heaven on earth. The old houses are beautifully renovated, and the garden is well designed. The swimming pool is the most amazing pool I have ever seen; with a panoramic view over the valley. It is possible to walk to Montepulciano taking a beautiful path through the olive fields and vineyards.
Manola was very warm-hearted, generous and always helpful. We felt kindly welcomed by her and her mother and father. We were sad to leave the place and this affectionate family. I highly recommend staying at PODERE POGGIOALSOLE.

La Dolce Vita @ Poderre Poggio al Sole
My wife and I just returned from the most wonderful location one can choose to enjoy southern Tuscany and the surrounding Italian locations. After a week in Sicily, we arrived in Montepulciano and were taken away by the beauty and the facilities of Podere Poggio al Sole. The breathtaking views of the landscape, vineyards, and quaint villages are to die for. On our arrival, Manola greeted us with open arms, and a welcome plate of prosciutto, cheese and wine. She showed us our apartment ("Il Ciliegio") which was lovely, well decorated, and with all the necessities covered. The pool and yard facilities were outstanding, not to mention the surrounding olive tree fields and vineyards for wonderful strolls any time of the day. Furthermore, this was an excellent location for our sightseeing trips to Pienza, Montalcino, Siena, Assisi, Spello, Cortona, Florence, Montefollonico and many other towns. Finally, Manola, her mom Elena and father were the most kind and excellent host one could have. We definitely recommend this location and look forward to return in the near future to continue discovering the lovely Tuscan countryside and "La Dolce Vita".

We, 2 adults with a 1-year-old-baby, stayed at Manolas house beginning of June 2015 and it was the most beautiful home we had on our 5-weeks-trip through Italy. Manola and her lovely parents are great host, friendly and very very helpful! The house itself is clean, modern and well equipped with everything you might need - you really feel like home. But the best (next to Manolas & her parents great hospitality) is the breathtaking panoramic view! It is absolutely wonderful! We stayed at Pioppo, which is a separate house with a gorgeous private garden and loved sitting outside in tranquility and watching the panorama over the quiet hills and the small town of Montepulciano. It is just 5 minutes by car and a lovely historic town on a hill, with lots of restaurants and beautiful places - a must on a trip through Tuscany. And if you come back to your holiday home on a hot day, you can take a rest at the spacious, clean and beautiful panorama-pool at the house. All in all: It was a fantastic stay and we love to come back soon!

Fantastic house in a wonderful landscape
It has been one of our favorite houses ever been before, and we travel a lot with the family. They make you feel like being at home. Manola always helping if anything was needed. We have been during one week and we are waiting to come back again. My children and us have enjoyed ourselves with the swimming pool and the best views you can imagine. Awesome. The garden and the apartment very clean and with everything you can need. Thank you very much for the special days lived at Podere Poggio al sole. We´ll Never forget this week!

Warm welcome, great base for Val d'Orcia
This was an amazing place for a friend and me to base to explore the southern part of Tuscany. Manola was very responsive and helpful via email before our trip, and she and her parents were so welcoming when we arrived. The house is about two minutes off a main road leading to Montepulciano - you feel like you're in the country, but it takes five minutes to get to the main parking lots of the town. Montepulciano worked well for us as a base to visit a lot of towns in the area, and it's a fun city to explore itself.
We stayed in Il Ciliegio apartment, which is above the main house but has its own entrance, kitchenette, etc. We were two friends traveling together; the apartment has one bedroom with one double bed, so I slept on the sleeper sofa, which was quite comfortable for a sofa bed (and actually more comfortable than the hotel bed where we'd stayed previously!). The kitchenette was perfect for making eggs in the morning and simple dinners; there is a supermarket near the entrance to Montepulciano, so it's convenient to get groceries. The view from the garden is so peaceful; we didn't swim in the pool, but did sit by it some, and it's just gorgeous. In short, I'd absolutely recommend staying here! Thanks to Manola and your parents for a beautiful time in Tuscany.

Amazing Location with Superb Views
Wow! This was by far the most amazing place we stayed at during out 2 week trip to Italy.
We arrived in Montepulciano after having been to Venice, Cinque Terre and Florence and were completely blown away by this property. The pictures do not do justice to how amazing this place is nor to its breathtaking views.
Our check in process was great, as it is very easy to communicate with Manola and to top it off, we were greeted at our arrival with a charcuterie plate and wine, and given the run down of what to do etc in Montepulciano and surrounding areas.
The property is really amazing, and the views from pool of Tuscany are truly stunning.
We would definitely comeback here again and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect Tuscan stay!

Fantastic Stay
Our stay with Manola was perfect. Her home is warm and welcoming and she helped make Tuscany feel the same. Each morning she provided a delicious breakfast and helped us plan our day, pointing out different towns that we should visit and restaurants we should try. Of our three part Italy vacation, Montepulciano was by far our favorite, almost entirely because of Manolas influence. I would highly recommend paying her a visit.

Rustic Luxury
Podere poggioalsole is full of rustic charm and is set in beautiful gardens with amazing views over the Tuscan countryside. It has a feeling of 5 star luxury. It’s perfect for a relaxing break. Or if you prefer it’s well placed to visit some of the many Tuscan attractions. The town of Montepulciano is a short car journey away or a 30 min walk [be sure to take a torch if returning late]. It’s a pretty, rural town with a good selection of cafes, restaurants and shops. I’d recommend visiting Caffe Poliziano. Try to get a seat on the balcony if you can.
Our hosts Manola, Elena & Aldo were most welcoming, even as we arrived at 2:30 a.m. on our first night!
We would highly recommend staying at Podere Poggioalsole.

Beautiful home minutes from the center of Montepul
We stayed in the two bedroom cottage, which was clean, comfortable, quiet, and nicely appointed. It was exactly as pictured, but the grounds were more beautiful than you can imagine: a stunning infinity pool with a view of the rolling Tuscan hills, olive trees and vineyards everywhere one looked and Montepulciano perched atop a hill in the distance. The entire property is surrounded in gardens; roses, lavender and jasmine scent the air. Really a place one can relax! Our host greeted us with a lovely spread of bruschetta, salumi, Pecorino, and honey along with wine made from her grapes.
We absolutely loved the area. Montepulciano has a lot to offer and is a short drive to many other lovely towns. Our host was a wealth of information regarding what to do and see, and where to eat locally. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone and will likely go again.

Best Place on our Italy Trip
We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at Podere Poggio al Sole. The setting is beautiful, the views are magnificent and our hosts were so friendly and helpful. The apartment was clean and very nicely decorated. It was very relaxing to sit by the pool with a glass of wine after a day of sight-seeing. The location is perfect for day trips to Montelpulciano, Cortona, Pienza, Montalciano and others. It was fun to drive thru the countryside. If I get back to Italy I will definitely return to Podere Poggio al Sole.

amazing place to stay
Podere Poggio al Sole is a fantastic place to stay. The garden and the whole estate is so well maintained. It's a little paradise. You enjoy beautiful views over the vineyards and the fantastic tuscan landscape. The pool is beautifully located in the middle of olive trees. The apartments offered all the luxury we needed. But the best part is the incredibly hospitality of Manola, Elena & Aldo. We loved it & would highly recommend it.
We are definitely coming back.
