About this house rental
The guests will have full use of the entire house and grounds. The house is situated beside the sea amid the most stunning coastal scenery of the Wild Atlantic Way. Indeed it is just beside the Signature Point ‘Ceann Sleibhe’ (Slea Head), indicating that it is one of the most beautiful parts of the amazing driving route. It is also on the Slea Head Drive, a beautiful driving route on the Dingle Peninsula, and just below the Dingle Way (Slí Chorca Dhuibhne), a terrific walking trail. It is surrounded by archaeological monuments, and by a working sheep farm. Views to the south-east, across Dingle Bay, of Carrantuohill, the highest mountain in Ireland, south across to the Iveragh Peninsula and west to the Blasket Islands (which can be reached by ferry from Dún Chaoin (Dunquin), only 4 miles down the road. Choughs and gannets abound in this area, and you might be lucky and even see a pod of dolphins passing.
If you have an interest in film, you would like to know that some of ‘Far and Away’, starring Tom Cruise, was shot here, and much of ‘Ryan’s Daughter’ was shot nearby. More recently, ‘The Last Jedi’, of the Star Wars series, was shot only a few miles away – so they have certainly recognised how beautiful the area is!
The Dingle Peninsula has probably the greatest concentration of archaeological monuments of any part of Ireland, and they are here for you to discover. Your host will be able to advise on visiting many sites, from Bronze Age to Medieval.
Accommodation in the house consists of 4 bedrooms 2 with bathrooms en suite, 4 of which are doubles (3 king) and 2 have a single bed as well as a double. There is a downstairs bathroom with shower and jacuzzi bath. The downstairs consists of a large kitchen/dining room, large sitting room, entrance hall and main hall, utility room and one bedroom as well as the bathroom.
Your host, Aedán, has lived here all his life, and comes from a long line of farmers who have worked this land for centuries. He is very knowledgeable about living in the area, and can suggest plenty of excursions and activities for you. His family live nearby and will also be on-hand to offer advice and information.
No wi-fi provided – the downside of being in a remote, beautiful area, surrounded by mountains! So a good place to escape from the hurley-burley of modern life. You can listen to the waves breaking on the cliffs below, and to the many birds which pass by. On clear nights the vista of a huge, starry sky is entrancing.
There is ample off-road parking beside the house, but no public transport in the area, so a car (or bike for the hardy!) is necessary.
English and Irish spoken. Basic French and Spanish.
This area has inspired poets and artists – come and see what it might do for you!

Wonderful experience of Irish landscape, but bring a warm coat for cool breezy days! We even got a view of the Skelligs from the window!

Amazingly situated house on a bluff above the ocean near Slea Head. The pictures give you an idea but don’t give it full justice: the loop of Kerry peninsula is just to the south and you can see Great Blasket Island from the front of the house. Nighttime view of stars is great on clear nights! The kitchen had all we needed to fix meals for a large family group, including a wonderful Christmas dinner. The house has some very modern updates and a luxury feel. Very clean and new beds. The sitting room with the fireplace is very nice.
Host Aedan was kind enough to set up a Christmas tree and Christmas decorations to warm our stay, and the fireplace warmed the temperature as well. You might want to just stay at the house, but there are things to do and see nearby: it is located on the Dingle peninsula loop drive. A lovely short easy hike on Dunmore Head is just an 8-minute drive away. Dingle, with groceries, restaurants, and shops, is about 25 minutes.

Ideal Spot
Aedan’s house is beautiful with every amenity you could need. Located on one of the most beautiful drives in Ireland. Aedan was available for any questions you would have. He even delivered my laptop to me on Killarney after I left it behind. Above and beyond the call

Stunning property and location
This is by far the nicest house we have ever stayed in for holidays! Every single aspect of the house was exquisite and Aedán and his parents were always on hand for every query we had. And a nice bonus with the lambs and the puppies visiting us on a regular basis. We can’t wait to come back to experience the winter in a few months!

A piece of Heaven...
This is without doubt the most enjoyable and relaxing place my Fiancee and I have ever stayed. The tranquillity and peacefulness of this entirely comfortable and spotlessly clean 'home' has to be experienced to be believed. Whether it's an early cup of tea or coffee outside, with the wonderful fresh Irish air brushing in off the Atlantic, or simply staring in admiration at the breathtaking views, from any aspect outside or inside the house, at any time of the day, the warmth and comfort of this gem of a home, which Aedan has masterfully created, embraces and beguiles you from the moment you arrive at the property. Nighttime is something to be looked forward to also, as it is then you can really appreciate this magical corner of Ireland, with the wind gently whistling lullabys, and the rain dancing on the windows, ... an enchanting Gaelic melody with which to drift off into a deep slumber. Almost a week after our departure, we still yearn to be back in this wonderful place. Aedan himself is a wonderful individual, for whom nothing is any bother, and he will pass on a wealth of local knowledge to ensure your day is as packed full of adventure as it possibly can. There may have only been two of us, while the house will comfortably accommodate 10 people, even so, I have no reservation in saying that this place is the very best value for money to be had anywhere on the whole island of Ireland, offering the comfort and 'homeliness' that many 5 star establishments can only dream of. All credit to Aedan for sharing his amazing 'home from home' with the rest of the world ... it would be a very regretful oversight if you who are reading this have the opportunity to stay at this magical house, in this mystical location, but chose not to...

Unbelievably Beautiful Location and Home
We stayed in 4 homes in Ireland but this by far was the best! The view was stunning. The home was perfect for our group of 6. Check in was easy. I probably took way too many photos of the view but it was just amazing. The home was equipped with everything that we needed. We were able to cook breakfasts and dinner in the big kitchen. It was the most peaceful place that we stayed on our trip. The sound of sheep while drifting off at night was very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. The host was great even arranging a taxi for us to take to town. The pictures don't show how beautiful this home really is. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!! 5+stars!!!

Perfect house, perfect location
This property was a fantastic place for our group of six. The house itself was spectacular - lots of room, great kitchen, wonderful views (dolphins feeding down below), easy walk to ancient beehive huts, AND baby lambs. Easy drive to Dingle Town and other attractions. Highly recommended.

Wonderful home
The house was perfect. Very clean and everything looked to be new. The host was amazing and helped with any questions we had. He also showed us new baby lambs on the property and let the kids bottle feed them! I highly recommend this property.

Amazing property!
Aedan’s property was amazing. It is so spacious, has a well-stocked kitchen, and the views outside are unbeatable. It is perfectly located about 10 mins from Dingle, but also feels peaceful and secluded. Aedan was helpful and a very nice host. We will definitely be back!!

This gem is on the edge of the world and out of this world! Gorgeous well appointed home where you can watch the dance of the ocean's moods and begin your day cuddling a baby lamb... can't get much better. I'll be staying longer next visit!
