Welcoming and comfortable village stay

Welcoming and helpful staff. Great location. Very comfy beds.

The toilet sanitation system is quite noisy and take a bit of getting used to but it wouldn’t stop us from booking again.

Good local hotel with great restaurant

Good hotel generally refurbished to a decent standard. Ample free parking. Staff are all brilliant. Food in the very busy restaurant is excellent. Make sure you book. I had the cote de boeuf, long wait for it but a delight to eat. Good English breakfast cooked freshly to order so a slight delay. Loved the bacon.

Very old plumbing, no tea bags in room. Too many emails ref restaurant booking deposit.

Spacious room with very comfy bed and spacious bathroom with bath and shower. Room was clean and continental breakfast was provided in the room

there is a continental style breakfast left in your room fridge and plenty of it. EV charging nearby.

We would have enjoyed a sit down breakfast at a dining table. Don't expect a cooked breakfast in a dining room, it's not available, however there is a continental style breakfast left in your room fridge and plenty of it. Would have liked a EV charging, however there was free charging at the nearby supermarket.

Exceptional

I went for Hardwick Live and there was a short cut across the field at the back of hotel to venue. Still a long distance but considerably shorter than walking round. Good pub connected to hotel and good breakfast.

Bit difficult to park, ended up in side street that wasn't too bad and free, so okay after all.

SUPERB SETTING, MEMORABLE STAY!

Sedgefield is a lovely village, I was at Hardwick Festival which was easily accessible from back of the hotel - facilities were lovely, staff were really great, very clean and comfy room.

No restaurant and only continental breakfast.

very disappointing with the hotel, sedgefield a good village

very little, the staff tried but i think they where embarrassed with the state of things

no staff, no breakfast even though we paid for one, room very basic and rundown

Comfortable bedroom and clean bathroom, though the plumbing on top floor was somewhat noisy.

Nobody on reception to check me out and take payment.

Room was great comfortable and clean. Shower was very good

When check in was going to wedding and said they would put my bag in the room as the reception desk is not alway manned. When returning went to my room passed an empty reception yo find that my bag was not there. When came down someone had arrive and gave me my bag from just behind reception desk. This had a £3,500 laptop that anyone could have taken. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR BAGS WITH THEM!!

Great location and staff were great.

Due to staffing only had a continental breakfast which we didn't know until we arrived. Should have been a cooked breakfast.

Comfortable, quiet, small and friendly hotel, would stay again.

Breakfast was fine and plenty of it. Room was quiet and bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and happy to help.

Shower was a bit awkward to get flow and temperature right, no hot breakfast.

Great spot for Sedgefield

Great location, lovely bar, room nicely decorated and comfortable. Good sized bathroom. Very clean.

At the time I stayed there was no cook so there wasn't a cooked breakfast, just a limited continental one. Just unlucky timing and is no way a bad reflection on the overall stay.

Do not stay hear.

The italian restaurant next door was good.

The hotel used to be an inn. It is not now it is a series of rooms with no other facilities. IT was just about satisfactory until I used the toilet and the macerator kicked in. these are involved in every room it seems and if someone uses the toilet at night you will wake up. So someone had to start early and got up around 5 from that noise there was the regular use of the macerator which lasts for a few seconds but wakes you up. I was working the following day and had to drive back to London so I was very tired for the long trip. Breakfast only starts at 8 it is included but too late form many working people to enjoy! And you don't want to stay here for pleasure! I would have complained in the morning when I left but there was no one in the reception.
