Cute, historic property in central location. Very clean and comfortable. one of few places that had separate sleeping area for a child.
People with any mobility issue probably should look elsewhere.

Great location right in the heart of Bath. Beautiful decor made the stay feel special.
The room was rather warm through the night, but sadly the aircon unit was too noisy to leave on whilst we slept.

Everything wanted a bath just a shower and smallest room at top of building with no lift

Quaint location, nice breakfast, clean room and comfy bed, shower was nice and easy to use as well, and liked the honesty bar!
Only downside was stairs, but that’s on me for not doing proper research, I’ll request a first floor room next time

A little noisy being so central

Nice and Central to places we wanted to visit. Had everything we need in our room including fan, air con. Clean and tidy.
Stairs were a bit of a problem as we were on the top floor. Bathroom door kept opening. Shower drain was right in the middle of the shower tray. So was in the way as we didn't like stepping on it.

Excellent location, lovely property. Very clean and everything you could want provided
Room was a bit small for the cost

Great location, lovely room, honesty bar was a lovely place to relax after an evening out. And a great breakfast too!!
Not the property’s fault at all but woken up a few times in the night by drunken people going home loudly through the lane outside.
4.5 / 5.0
Great location, very close to the bus stop, the tour stop and was walking distance of everything.
Staff were very helpful with tours and what we should do

Breakfast was excellent, and service outstanding from the start of our stay until we said goodbye!
There was nothing to dislike
4.5 / 5.0
Great central location, clean, welcoming atmosphere.
Our room was at the front of the property so we had a smell of the restaurant next doors extractor fan, not offensive smelling but was strong at times. if the room window was closed you probably wouldn’t notice.

great location, less than 5 minutes walking distance to Roman baths and bath abbey. every single member of staff were very friendly and so helpful. Sally Lunns is right next door so very easy to get there before queues build up, excuse to go there twice!

the location is fabulous.
the hotel is beautifully decorated and very cosy
it can be quite noisy at night as it’s so central although the hotel provide ear plugs and eye masks

location
Noise at night from street
3.5 / 5.0
The room was beautiful with tasteful decor. The evening meal was delicious, as was the breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful. A superb spot for exploring Bath.
As it was a weekend, the noise at night from the street below interfered with our sleep. The hotel provide earplugs and a eye mask by the bed. However, the level of noise from revellers still managed to get through. It is ridiculous that the council will not allow the hotel to install double glazing due to the premises being a listed property. This must be very frustrating for the owners of the hotel. The council should also curtail the opening hours of nearby pubs and nightclubs.

beautiful room overlooking a courtyard. The quietest location at night that we have stayed, so a super sleep in a super comfy bed.
My only gripe was that if check in is at a set time, then the room should be ready. we had driven 4 hours to arrive in time for evening plans, arrived and told the room wouldn’t be ready until 5ish, with not much of an apology. Having then to leave by 11am the following day made it a very expensive stay for such little amount of time in the property.

Right in the centre of Bath and walking distance to car park
Temperature in the basement bar and the top floor room way too high to relax. had to switch off the heating and have window open at all times…

It was pricier than what we'd normally pay for a hotel, but having seen the reviews and photos online, we decided to book anyway. I can honestly say it was the best hotel we've every stayed at. The central location was perfect - close to Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, the Pump Room, Pulteney Bridge and the shops. The building itself is really quaint and situated next door to the famous Sally Lunn Tea Rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated and had ample space. The staff were very welcoming and breakfast was really good also.
Nothing.

Attentive friendly lady who worked on reception, served our breakfast and made sure we were happy throughout our stay.
Beautiful stylish room
Slightly noisy outside late at night and early morning but "Eight" had provided ear plugs and night masks to make our experience more comfortable

We couldn’t fault anything
