Hank was the perfect host. I have traveled all over the world and this was one of the most unique houses I have ever stayed in. Totally off the grid but with all of the comforts of home; which was needed after long days of hiking Zion. Loved sitting on the back porch and watching the beautiful sunset. Got to meet the pups and kitty. Hank met us on a walk last night and answered any/all of the questions we had from the types of rocks to things to do around the area. This home is truly unique and made such a memorable stay

This rental is amazing, I can’t express what an unbelievable experience and amazing host this property had to offer me and my family. We were looking for a majestic place to honor a loved one that had passed and this was the place. We didn’t know it at first but we became very sure of it in a very quick time period. We will return again and again

Sitting in the hot tub and watching the mountains change color as the sun sets was just the most beautiful sight. Our stay was wonderful, Hank and Mariangela were the greatest of hosts, saying this, after having stayed at many VRBO properties. Peaceful, tranquil, and soothing to the soul, this property is a fantastic place to stay with easy access to all Zion has to offer!

The house and grounds are lovely. It was great to have the host nearby because he was so kind and helpful, providing guidance on the best hikes, took us on a short walk across the high desert behind the house to see an amazing overlook, and helped us start the oven when we had trouble with the control.
The kitchen was very well appointed. The beds were all comfortable. Each room Is decorated with unique items and care with chosen with care. And the grounds outside are delightful to explore, with a variety of statuary, windchimes, shady sitting areas, and some of the trees have faces, reminiscent of Tolkien’s Ents.
I can’t say enough about our stay there. Just that it was wonderful, and you will have to go see it for yourself.

This is an incredibly special place and even exceeded our expectations! The views in every direction are stunning, and sitting on the patio playing a game while the sun went down was a favorite thing to do. The owners were amazingly helpful all the way from suggestions for hiking to grocery stores. The latter was critical as there was no way we wanted to leave this beautiful place to go out to dinner, and the town has a very nice small grocery store. The kitchen was very well stocked but be aware that, because of the ingenious approach the owners have used to build off the grid, there is no microwave, so plan to use stove or oven for heating things. For those who like a little news or other TV at the beginning or end of the day, there is DirecTV which was a great addition. From kitchen to TV to bathrooms, you would never know you were off the grid, and the wifi was great as well. You can be as attached or detached as you like. This home offers an exceptional alternative to the very busy town and park while still being close to the Zion Canyon area. The owners are such nice people who clearly love the place and the surrounding area. We look forward to returning and highly recommend a stay at this wonderful home.

Nestled within the breathtaking beauty of Zion National Park, Zion Villa True North offers an enchanting escape like no other. My stay here was nothing short of magical, surrounded by the serene wilderness and infused with a deep spiritual energy.
What sets this retreat apart is the harmonious blend of nature and spirituality. The moment you step onto the grounds, you're greeted by the soothing melodies of instruments and the sparkling energy of crystals. The labyrinths woven into the landscape invite you to embark on a journey of self-discovery and reflection.
One of the most remarkable aspects of Zion Villa True North is the opportunity to be alone in this majestic setting. It's an experience that words can hardly capture – the profound connection with nature, the sense of peace that envelops you, and the clarity that comes with solitude.
The owners of the villa are not just hosts; they're guides to the soul of Zion. Their passion for the park is infectious, and they generously share their knowledge of the best-kept secrets and most awe-inspiring spots. Whether it's a hidden waterfall, a secluded canyon, or a breathtaking viewpoint, they'll ensure you experience the very essence of Zion.
In every corner of Zion Villa True North, there's a palpable spiritual feel that resonates with your soul. It's a place where you can recharge, reconnect, and rediscover the magic within and around you. My time here was truly transformative, leaving me with memories I'll cherish forever

Two families of 5 stayed here for four nights over spring break. It was a wonderful time! The setting is breathtaking. So much to do right in the vicinity of the house. Multiple hikes. We did canyoning 5 minutes away. Also easy access to Springdale, Virgin, Hurricane, and Cedar City. Will definitely visit again!

We stayed here for our anniversary. The view you have is unbelievable. The place is as described and is beautiful. You are right in the cannons and you won’t be disappointed. Owner was great throughout the process. Highly recommend!

We had 10 family members with us on vacation. Some flew into Vegas but my husband and I drove out from the east coast. We visited the Grand canyon west and south. We went to Colorado, Vegas and Sedona Arizona to name a few. . After a three week trip I asked my husband what his favorite part was and after a ten second consideration he said; that hike that we took with Hank and that amazing house and property! We loved absolutely everything about our stay. It was peaceful and everything about the property was done with warmth and great taste. The hot tub was great but it was all the little things too. The bedrooms were not huge but they fit the warmth of the house. The bathroom sinks we chosen to fit the style of the house as well as the shower doors. They did not run to home Depot and grab a sink to get the house ready to rent out. They chose things to make this feel warm and inviting
The stove is an old fashioned one that was consistent with childhood memories.
One of the best parts was that the owners thought of all the little things and average person might need in the kitchen. Things like paper plates and a first aid kit plus salt and pepper along with a few spices. That was a huge help. When you travel it costs a fortune to buy the most simple items and we have rented many houses without things like paper towels.
We went to Zion national Park on a Monday in October but it was crowded. We ended up realizing that we had all we needed right at this house and these trails!

The owner was super friendly , he was kind enough to help us when we got lost and was able to guide us on little hikes around the area. The house was nice and relaxing.

Two families with five kids age 19-25 and four parents spent a fantastic week inside the peace and wild magic of True North. The home itself is graciously inviting and fit perfectly inside the mountains. Hank our host was never obtrusive but answered every question and every request immediately. He guided us to some epic hikes and gave good advice for entering the park in Springdale. If what you need is a get away that is peaceful, beautiful and unique — this is it. There is a reason every review is a 5 star. Would go back in a heart beat — in fact we will.

This property was everything advertised and more. Incredible views, nearby hiking trails. The home was well equipped and even though it is off the grid there were no issues with electric, air conditioning, hot water etc. Hank the owner, was very helpful with things to do and places to go but left us to ourselves and was not intrusive. Overall a great experience!

As the listing shows, the views are spectacular. A private retreat in Zion with hiking trails to an overlook. Kind, respectful, and very helpful owners live on site. Hank is wonderful at finding solutions to anything that might come up. Our two small dogs were scared of his two big ones, he was willing to coordinate walks so all dogs were comfortable. Highly recommend and hope to stay again

The property, Hank the owner and the surrounding area all 5 stars! You will love this piece of paradise! Special attention to detail of this villa will leave you not wanting to ever leave. The hiking in the surrounding area is amazing, and you pretty much have these hikes all to yourself. Do not hesitate, book this property!!!

Very cool property right in Zion with amazing views and lots to do in the area. There is a separate area with bedrooms and a large common space filled with lots of musical instruments which my 2 kids really loved. Hank and Mariangela were amazing hosts and so helpful with recommendations for local hiking areas and restaurant recommendations. We loved every minute of our stay here!

Fabulous location and hosts, couldn't recommend more highly as a perfect Zion getaway for our group of 6 hikers allowing us to avoid the crowds while soaking in the scenery surrounding this comfortable home.

What a stunning place. Perfect location for us. We did 3 days at Zion National Park and one day at Bryce Canyon. True North exceeded every picture and review! Maximized every minute outside at the parks, and at night on the patio, grilling dinner and hot tub. We picked up groceries in Hurricane (Walmart pick up easy) and had breakfast and dinner at the house which was well equipped with everything you need. Golfed one evening at Sky Mountain and the views beat our scores! Cannot say enough kind words about the hosts. Rare to find such care, commitment to guest experience and passion for the surroundings. Book your stay. It will be magical.

Our family of 5 stayed at True North for our first visit to the western national parks, and we couldn't have asked for a better "home base" to see the incredible geography around us. We have kids ages 5, 7, and 10, and they loved everything about the place - from the musical instruments, to the hot tub, to the easy access to hikes directly from the property. While the property is "off the grid" and as a result doesn't have certain appliances (a dishwasher, laundry, or microwave), we never missed them - it was a very comfortable place to stay, even with our young kids. Zion National Park itself is only 25 minutes away and obviously worth seeing, but the Kolob plateau (where this property is located) has simply amazing views, caves, hoodoos, and overlooks *everywhere*. Hank provided us with excellent suggestions for places to hike, all within 1 mile of the property - and they all feel like a true southwest desert adventure. He and his wife are fantastic hosts that have built a really special place that we can't recommend highly enough.

We enjoyed everything about this property! Hank and Mariangela were beyond helpful and insightful regarding the area, weather conditions, groceries, things to do and suggestions. The home boasts stunning views and since it sits on acres inside Zion National Park, hiking is available from the front door. There’s so much to do- we wish we had longer!

This is a rare rental where the house and property are better than the pictures. What a pleasant surprise! It was voted our favorite vacation as we left which is tough with 3 teenagers. The hosts live on site but it really felt like their job was to make our stay enjoyable. They are very helpful but also not intrusive. We lucked out and got to see a meteor shower from the hot tub at nights after days of hiking. Truly spectacular!!

Went to Zion, Bryce and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and stayed at True North for a week. There is no other rental home like this in Zion. It has breathtaking views right off its back patio and not a person in sight. Hank is a wonderful Superhost who will give you excellent tips on things to do in the area. The kitchen is well equiped and the beds are very comfortable. The house is away from the touristy part of the park but it is only a short drive and well worth the tranquility to get to the center of town. Located out the backdoor are some great hikes to see like sunsets and caves and less than a quarter of a mile up the road is one of the best canyoneering and repelling areas in Zion. Definitely a wonderful place to stay with family and/or friends.

You cannot beat the views of True North. There is no way to describe how beautiful it is. Both outside areas were used every night for large dinners seating 9 in the back and then to take in the view afterwards in the front porch with extra seating and hot tub. Hank was great in giving us additional informaiton on more hikes outside Zion main trails. Great get away if you want to be off the grid with little communication with the outside world. Home is beautiful inside. Would be great for adult vacation and get-a-way. Would definitely recommend to friends who love adventure and aren't afraid of missing some basic ammenities. We would return for sure.

Amazing stay at Zion
Hank and Maryangela were the most gracious hosts - enjoyable, helpful, and friendly while at the same time gave us our privacy. Hank gave us so many wonderful ideas of things to do/places to explore that were outside the typical Zion experience. Some of them available right from the property. They have created a truly special and unique place and it felt so special to be able to experience it. One of my favorite experiences on our whole trip was taking an evening sunset walk with Hank and their two puppies to a remarkable overlook, right from their property. Beautiful beyond words and so peaceful. Wish we could've stayed longer, and cannot recommend enough.

Perfect family retreat
Hank is the best host hands down. In Italy I had some reservations in that we might disturb them as we have a few loud folks in our family - they insisted we be ourselves and we felt relaxed and at home the entire time. Words cannot express the perfection of this location - smack dab in the center of the Kolob Canyon wing of Zion. Hike without crowds, watch the sunrise and set in your own private sanctuary. We all cannot imagine experiencing Zion any other way. Thank you Hank & Maryangela for sharing your home and hearts with us 🙏🏼💞

Heaven!
We loved our stay here. The setting was extraordinary, and we enjoyed talking through our plans for our time in Utah with Hank. He helped us pick perfect hikes for our family. The house was lovely! We play drums, harp, and guitar, all were waiting to be played. The stillness, the night sky, the red rocks, was an infusion of peace that will take us forward in the coming year. Thank you this place in the world. Thanks for you good ideas, Hank, to make our vacation perfect.

The absolute best home & location in Zion
Long overdue review, but still one of our most memorable trips to date. Spacious, clean, cozy home in the middle of Zion. Perfect for 2 families during the winter holidays. Spectacular views & hiking trails all to ourselves, just steps from the house! Host was so welcoming & helpful! Definitely an unforgettable silver lining during the pandemic. We will definitely be back!

Perfect Getaway
We were a group of 4 couples, longtime friends, who enjoy travelling together. This house and the surrounding area is amazing and words don't do it justice. Hank was a great host, explaining how everything worked as well as giving us wonderful suggestions on hikes and places to see. We spent a lot of time on the patio with magnificent views and the night sky as rarely ever seen. It was such a unique experience and we all felt so lucky to have been there.

Amazing property & home-base for an amazing trip!
It was amazing!!! I cannot recommend this property highly enough! This property made for an amazing temporary home-base for an amazing trip to Zion! From the 360 degree views of breathtaking mountain vistas from the property, along with the wonderful outdoor spaces, the size of the dining tables, couches etc— this home was made for wonderful group trips! Not to mention the privacy the space afforded, the helpfulness of the hosts, the well equipped kitchen & well appointed common areas— indoor & out, this space made for a perfect home-base for our group’s Zion adventures. Everyone in our group loved Zion Villa and we all hope to return one day — by far the most memorable rental we’ve ever stayed in!

The perfect place
We took a group of 7 here to explore Zion and it was an incredible home with the most amazing views and grounds to explore. Hank was the best host I’ve ever experienced in rentals and was so accommodating and knowledgeable of the area. We will definitely be back!!

Shangra La
This gem is anonymously tucked away in a little known part of Zion NP. Surrounded by spectacular scenery, which you share with nobody except the property owner and the resident birds and chipmunks. We had planned various outings, but never left since it was such an outstanding spot. Great hiking right out the back door. Great owner who lives onsite. All the comforts of modern living despite also being off the grid. Unique and interesting decorations in the house.

AMAZING
I can not express in words how much my family and I enjoyed this property. The beauty of the house and surroundings is overwhelming to the senses. If you are able to book do not hesitate. Hank is a wonderful host. We were sad to leave him just as much as the property. He knows the best spots and every adventure he recommended exceeded our wildest expectations. . We miss you Hank. Best trip ever

Birthday Surprize
True North is a gorgeous retreat opportunity. I rented it 8 months prior to my wife's birthday and did not spill the beans until a few weeks prior (once our garage freezer began to fill with multiple steaks and other sundries necessary to host a 9 person/5-day birthday retreat. Cooking meals at True North (mostly on the stove or grill) was a far superior option to fighting with the crowds in over booked restaurants in downtown Springdale just outside the Zion gate.
We rode E-bikes one day inside the Zion gate, and took multiple 4WD adventures on local 4WD trails (i.e. Rattlesnake Gorge, Barracks Trail, and Sand Hollow State park). Each morning we prepared breakfast and lunch packs and then returned each evening for some excellent food on the grill out back.
Overall - staying at True North is a far superior option to the local lodging in downtown Springdale.

Zion Villa is one of the most exceptional homes in an absolutely stunning environment. And what made it especially enjoyable were the hosts, Hank and Mariangela. Beautiful people. We loved our stay. Thank you, thankyou, thank you!

Paradise in Zion Canyon
Our family group of 12 adults had an amazing experience celebrating Christmas at this slice of paradise in Zion. The home is really a sanctuary in the Canyon with incredible views everywhere. Loved the hot tub, the fireplace and the huge common area that allowed us to gather for meals and games. We also loved taking short hikes on the property to watch the sunset. The owners were very easy to work with and have created a one of a kind vacation experience. We were very sad to leave!

We recently stayed here for a long weekend. All I can say is that this place is magical and special. It's located in Zion National Park and has the most amazing views. There are virtually private hikes straight off the property taking you to breathtaking views of Zion and fantastic caves and rock formations. Hank is a wonderful host - he went out of his way to make us feel at home and comfortable. He also took the time to show us where little-known caves are with ancient cave painting of the indigenous people. An unforgettable experience! We will be back!

The best rental experience ever!
This was hands down the most incredible vrbo/air bnb experience I've ever had. Hank and Mariangela are kind and generous hosts, giving you wonderful tips on how to enjoy the property and surrounding areas to the fullest. The property and home are nothing short of magical and my group feels forever changed after our experience here. The home is filled with an incredible array of crystals, instruments, tuning forks and everything you need to connect with yourself and others. This was the ultimate break from covid and we feel that Hank and Mariangela are our new friends. We absolutely can not wait to come back and experience more magic with these fine people and their amazing property.
