Beautiful home and architecture. Plenty of games, well stocked kitchenware, awesome deck and bbq with views of the TRT, tv's in every room and surround sound in the downstairs den. Easy access/walking distance to downtown Tahoe City.
No AC so we had to have fans going all night. Beds were a bit uncomfortable. A lot of stairs. Tandem parking that accommodated 3 cars, but two on an incline. Was rough with groceries and suitcases. Parking at the Park and Rec office didn't seem to be an issue. Don't get me wrong, this is a nice place but with possibly elderly or toddlers, the stairs would be a problem.

House was as advertised! Lots of room. Close to town. Very quiet neighborhood. Beds comfortable. Kitchen had everything thing you would need. BBQ an added plus. We had a great time!

A great house location walkable to river, beach, & downtown. The house is well appointed and kitchen had every utensil and item needed for preparing many meals. The house was specious and laid-out nicely for 6 adults. Would definitely stay here again

We had a great stay at the house. The house has been loved. The living spaces are really nice and the tvs are humongous. Bring your passwords for apps and/or roku or they have a ton of movies on DVDs and games to play.
If you are staying for more than a few days, I would bring some toilet paper, paper towels and maybe garbage bags. No biggie. The kitchen is well stocked. There’s even a kettle. I would bring a huge pot or two if you are having family dinners and cooking up large family style meals. There’s plenty of blankets, etc. Lots of room for the whole family and lots of friends.
If you have somebody in the group that is older and less agile, there is a main bedroom on the living room/dining room/kitchen floor so that’s a little easier for them to get around after making it up to the main level.
Overall, we all had a great time and love the location and the house itself. It’s only a few houses away from a wonderful trailhead. I can’t wait to go back.
Thank you to the owners that let us stay at your house. It’s very lovely indeed.

Our family has stayed at this house several times over the years. We love it. The house is very comfortable and lovely, bathrooms, living areas, kitchen, furnishings, everything. We especially enjoy being out on the large backyard deck with its extraordinary view of the hillside forestland that makes it seem like the the house is situated in a wilderness. And yet, the house is conveniently located within walking distance of everything in Tahoe City, and easy driving to other attractions like Squaw Valley, River Ranch, and even Reno. A wonderful vacation spot.

This home is located a short distance from Lake Tahoe Dam. It is also a few houses down from a great hiking trail. The home was clean upon arrival. It has a beautiful view out the living room, kitchen and dining area of the forest. There are a set of stairs to get into the house and another set going up to the main level. It was fine for my husband and I. This is a dog friendly home and we appreciated it!!

The house was just as described, clean, and close to everything. The set up was wonderful for our group; my husband, myself, and our kids and dog took the downstairs, while our family members without kiddos took the upstairs. And early risers could rise without disturbing anyone’s slumber. The set up really allows for optionality of togetherness or space, as needed. The house was close to all the fun Tahoe has to offer, and offered a lot of amenities to enjoy it, including tubes and toys, as well as space to put our own gear and ample and well appointed space to stage our outdoor gear for 4 adults, 2 kids and 3 dogs, without messing up the rest of the house. The beds and couches are comfy, the kitchen has everything you need to cook, and there is so much space for huestes to choose different indoor activities in harmony (we had a toddler napping, a kiddo watching TV or playing games, and adults reading all at the same time). The place is also just a short drive from a beach where doggies are welcome and coexist happily with kiddos. All these things made the place absolutely perfect for our multi-family, doggie friendly first trip together since the pandemic started. Thank you!!!

Unfortunately, we were not as happy with the stay as last time we rented with Tahoe Getaways. The home was not very clean upon check in at 4pm. Cleaner left trash in the bear bin, the floors were dirty and I had to vacuum and clean them as well as scrub the dirty kitchen counter tops on day one. Not enough towels so we had to do multiple loads of laundry throughout the week. The game shelves were a mess with puzzle and game pieces loose on the shelves. The TV in the main room had no remote so unable to work and luckily we brought our own apple tv to hook up.
We loved the location but not the lack of parking. Before I made the reservation, I spoke with someone in the office and she said that the woman that ski leased it last year parked extra car at Savemart with no problem. Well there are signs all over that parking lot that say 1HR parking.
Don't feel it was worth $5k for the week.

We had an wonderful time! Loved that we could walk to town/the lake. Only feedback is that the bed upstairs is small for two people and the pillows could be better. = )
Otherwise, the home was very well appointed and we had everything we needed and more! Best, Sam

Relaxing summer getaway
We stayed in this house for a week in the summer with our 2 teenage sons. The house has so much character and style and nice touches. We loved that it opened up to a huge backyard of nature and hiking trails. It's literally 3 houses away from a trailhead to the Tahoe Rim Trail and just a half mile walk in to the cute Tahoe City town. The layout was great with the 2 boys downstairs along with the media room while the master bedroom was upstairs. The house is very well equipped from the kitchen to plenty of camping chairs and rafts. Loved it!

Nice but a bit Stressful
It is difficult to review house vs property management, so please read this entirely...
The property itself was everything that was expected. The house is beautiful, well-built with quality finishes! Nicely furnished and a nicely equipped kitchen. Dog-friendly, but would never know that dogs had been there (sometimes there's an order that lingers). Only drawback would be the fact that the sound carried between the main floor primary bedroom and one of the lower level bedrooms directly underneath it. But that layout of primary bedroom on main level and 2 other bedrooms on opposite sides of lower level
with a TV/movie room in between was a great layout for our family. Location was an easy walk into downtown Tahoe City (full of shops, restaurants, marina, etc as well as a farmers market Thursday mornings). Perfectly located for an easy drive to West Shore (always love sandwiches and salads from West Shore Market and a casual meal on the deck at Sunnyside Restaurant). A little further away is downtown Truckee. A historical town with shops and restaurants. And a little further yet, a must-experience day at Sand Harbor (stunningly beautiful sandy beach in Nevada, but go early since parking and access is limited).
So what was so stressful? The fact that from the moment we walked in, we began to notice that the home had not been properly cleaned. Used razor and soap in the shower of the main bedroom (not great since the people staying in the main bedroom are probably the ones paying and reviewing). Also, if a used razor and soap are left behind in the shower, then made me start wondering if the shower was actually cleaned or what else might have been overlooked during the cleaning process. More used soap in another bathroom too. The misses continued with less than the promised amount of TP and sanitizing cleaner (Tahoe Getaways did bring both after a couple back and forth emails and a phone call). Heated the oven for dinner one night. Enjoyed a drink on the back patio and came in to find the house full of smoke (yes the kitchen exhaust fan was on). Oven was not clean. Quickly opened all windows in hopes of avoiding smoke detectors going off. Also found the clothes washer and dryer both dirty. Had to take care of these things myself because we are in the midst of a pandemic so cleaners not allowed back in while we were there. Yet we had been sent a special email just prior to our arrival letting us know about the Tahoe Getaways Stay Safe Initiative and all the extra cleaning etc that was happening. Just did not find that to be true and was disappointed to find myself cleaning things that should have been cleaned on my vacation.

Lovely winter retreat!!
We absolutely loved enjoying this home for a ski lease this past season! The house has everything you need, from a great two-story layout for a family, to an amazing media room, to a fantastic kitchen for cooking. The lighting in the home is amazing, the beds are super comfortable, and the walk to Tahoe City just can't be beat. Tahoegetaways staff were always super helpful with anything we needed. Even though we didn't have a garage, and we somehow couldn't quite get the right draft to successfully use the wood burning stove, we have such fond memories of our time there. We're hoping to lease again during the winter next year!

We really enjoyed our 2 week stay. The house is tastefully decorated, kitchen is well stocked, there are plenty of games & puzzles, an awesome theatre with an HD projector and drop down screen, and high end music and lighting systems throughout the house. It’s a good walk to town but not too far for daily outings. We would definitely stay there again.
