Peaceful stay with lots of wildlife (mustangs, deer, elk). Cool mornings and perfect stay for a small to mid-size family. We would stay at this place again!

This property is warm & welcoming. Great location!!

The property was great. Location and roominess was good. The only problem was that the dishwasher didn’t work and wasn’t told that when booking the reservation. Only found out when we called for maintenance to come repair it. It was loaded and ready to turn on and wouldn’t come on. Also need to replace the knives in the kitchen. Very dull and dangerous when trying to cut something with them

Cedarside cabin was exactly as listed in the posting. Check in was a breeze, everything was clean (especially the hot tub), and when they said fully stocked kitchen, they really mean it! Beds were comfy, there was room for everyone, and overall the group had an awesome stay. Would return in the future.

The house was very clean and we enjoyed the hot tub. The location was also convenient.
A few things would have made the house so much more comfortable. The mattresses in all of the rooms were incredibly uncomfortable, like sleeping on springs and plywood, none of our party had a good nights sleep in any of the rooms during our 3 night stay. Many of the interior doors didn't shut and/or lock, and the interior could use a fresh coat of paint on all the walls.

I was at fault for misreading my email that check in was at 4pm. The cleaning crew came in right after my miscommunative call.. we toured the area giving the crew full time to clean for us. When we returned to unpack, we discovered some of our sheets and cases were not replaced, we noticed due to the saliva and booger residue left on a couple pullow cases. We cleaned every surface when we returned due to the hair and dust left on the coffee pot.

Almost everything during our vacation was good, but there were two aspects that made me feel upset. Firstly, the grill was very old and not functioning properly, which was really disappointing as we love BBQ, especially during vacations. Secondly, the dishwasher was completely out of order, which meant that we had to wash all dishes and utensils used by eight people twice a day. This was not fair and caused frustration among the wives. Additionally, the king and queen beds made a lot of noise at night. Despite these issues, the location was extraordinary on all levels. Furthermore, the cabin was clean, the communication with the management of the cabin was swift, as they replied and responded quickly andsent a technicianto check if the dishwasher was fixable but unfortunately it wasn't.
Overall, we had a good time.
Thanks Hummingbirds.

The cabin was so cozy. We loved our stay.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in second week of January. Had snow before arrival and during stay so nice change of pace for central Texans. Cabin is 50 years old as I recall so a little worn, yet comfortable. We would return.

Our stay in Ruidoso was wonderful. The landscape and proximity of the cabin was exceptional, everywhere was w/in driving distance.
The Hummingbird Cabin sign was broken and on the ground. Do not look for it while trying to find the place.
The cabin itself is nice. The interior needs a complete update. A walk down the Pioneer Woman aisle in Walmart would do this place a great service. The carpets are noticeably stained and kinda gross. The cabin while appears clean, IT IS NOT. There was but one(1) working outside exterior light (out of 4) w/the exception of the hot tub lighting, weirdly located, but a definite source of enjoyment. The deck furniture was broken, dirty and unusable. The bedding was so slight and thin, I went to Walmart and bought (2) comforters. There wasn’t a sharp knife to be had and limited utensils, simple cereal spoons(?). Dirty dishes on dusty dirty shelves and filthy greasy skillets. While this place boast sleeping accommodations for eight, it wasn’t till the last night we found the 4th twin bed under another bed AND its living common space only had seating for 5 comfortably, we had to use the hard back dining chairs for extra seating. It’s just not as comfy as the pictures present. Most likely not to return.

Enjoy the time playing game and seating in front of the chimney.

Beautiful family get away cabin. Very well equipped and fully stocked kitchen. The second queen size bedroom is fairly small but it worked perfectly for us. Outside light need update but overall a beautiful stay. Downtown is near but truly with everything the cabin had, you might not even want to leave :)

We spent my birthday weekend with my kids at this property. We had an amazing weekend.

Our stay was wonderful very peaceful and quiet. Got to see Deer and Elk for the first time. The hot tub was wonderful and relaxing. If I had to say anything not great it was the beds they really need updated or just a a memory foam put on them so you don’t feel the springs in your back. Another than that it was wonderful would definitely stay again. Thanks so much to the host

This cabin was a nice stay. It was a tad outdated but otherwise everything was good. The rooms were nice. The hot tub was a definite plus to relax. It was just a nice relaxing place to stay. Cabins are closer together, however, everyone was pretty quiet when needed to be. It was right off a main road so easy to get around and close to many things.

We were disappointed in this property. The plastic chairs on the deck were broken. There were also cob webs on the deck. The furnishings were old including the mattress in the small bedroom. Also, in that room a cover plate for an electrical outlet was missing. The water went out. We called the Maintenace number and the very nice man said he would look into it. He never called back but we found out there was a water line break on the next street and the water did come back on. This wasn't the property's fault, but we didn't get a return call. Compared to other VRBO properties we have stayed at this property did not compare well to the others. We do have photos of the broken chairs and the outlet without the cover. --Ernie Watson 505-898-3521

Compliments: House was clean with some stains on furniture covers. The view, due to all the windows from the living room, is terrific. Home was easy to find and check in was simple. Being able to bring a pet was great too. Deer visitors daily was a neat experience.
Improvements: Outdoor furniture is damaged with most chairs not suitable for using. Towels were all rough, thin and very used. Bathroom in hallway is very small including a low shower head. Pans would be convenient if they were non stick.

Everything was amazing. It was a pet friendly cabin which I didn’t read and my son is allergic to dogs so he had a reaction but other than that everything was great!

We were all very impressed with the cabin, especially with the help that was provided opening the key lock. The gentleman arrived faster than expected and was very professional. The only thing was a broken recliner, maybe that should be removed for safety purposes? Other than that, the place is lovely, it had all kitchen accessories we needed and more, plenty of pillows, towels, toiletries, jacuzzi was amazing and loved the chalk door sign. Only thing I regret is not writing in their Guest Book. Thank you for everything and we will definitely return!

Area was beautiful. Nice fireplace. They were not ready by check in time so had to wait to get in. No wash cloths or kitchen towels. Hot tub not working very well. Hot tub people were supposed to come check it but never did.

We really enjoyed this stay! It was centrally located for us to get around easily to do everything we wanted. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a day of skiing!

The only thing wrong is that there’s no AC but we left the screen doors open to catch a breeze and that was what saved us during the day. It was quiet and peaceful.
