The sense of security ensured a peaceful night rest

the tranquility and we were upgraded to a bigger room, host was professional in interaction with us and warm and welcoming

The internet wasnt working so made it difficult to plan the rest of the trip online. No shampoo, soap or body wash was provided in the bathroom. Other tea brands were not provided for ( only rooibos) and no sweetener either.

Comfortably and considerately furnished accommodation.

The rooms are comfortable, modern and have all the amenities you need for a single night or even if you're planning on spending a few days. We also loved that there was a little closed off garden for our dog to have a run around after a long drive. Highly recommend!

Super accommodation, the best when travelling with dogs. Super friendly and helpful hosts

I love staying at the Fancy Cactus - the environment is particularly good for pets and the hosts are always so welcoming. The room is fully equipped with everything you need, just great after a full day of travelling.

Comfortable, clean stopover between JHB and the coast.

The location is perfect for a stopover on your way to the coast from JHB. They accommodated us with our pets even though the booking request did not go through correctly on booking.com. Note for guests travelling with pets that the pet friendly rooms are not family-sized. It is better to confirm with the property directly prior to travelling.

Perfect safe secure place to stay on our long drive , safe , secure and friendly . Lovely room .

Perfect location as half way to Cape Town , great stop off point . Very secure, clean and spacious. Great under cover parking .

No nearby food however the room had a kitchenette and we could have brought our own .

Comfortable overnight stay in pretty nicely appointed guesthouse

Comfortable room with aircon and enough space for 2 people. Our room had a dressing room next to the bathroom which was nice. Nice furnishings and the bed was comfortable. The manager was very helpful and recommended a good restaurant for dinner. There is a kitchen area which allows one to put food in the fridge or cook up a light meal. The guesthouse is pretty and is nicely kitted out.

The room was comfortable and central and there is an area in the garden one can enjoy so all in all nothing to complain about.

A spoil with comfort and everything you will need. Highly recommended.

Friendly welcome, confirming our needs. Moved us with easy to another room. I liked the size of the room, the decor, comfortability, big bathroom. Availability of Take away menu. Carport for car. Easy hand-in key box for the next morning. We really liked this property.

Overall, a good experience.

The room is spacious and comfy. Tea, coffee, sugar, and milk are provided. Quality bedding. Air conditioner. The location is quiet and spacious, with a lovely interior garden.

No breakfast or meals are provided at the facility - guests are given menus from establishments that deliver to the guest house. The shower drain is blocked - it drains very slowly. No answer to my early morning query about where to deposit the keys.

Truely Hidden, Trendy Guesthouse!!

If you want to stay in Colesberg, there is only one place, The Fancy Cactus. This place is a true gem. Its trendy, clean, friendly service and the Plattelander Restaurant is a must. If you want to taste true Karoo lamb, this is the place.

The perfect overnight stay for you and your pets.

Everything is very modern, clean, aesthetically pleasing and very new and comfortable. We had the dogs with us and it has to be one of the nicest pet friendly places I have stayed at. The car could be parked close to our room which was safe for the dogs and there was a large enclosed garden area outside our room which was securely fenced and very clean. Dog bowls were also provided which is a very nice touch.

The kitchen was very basic (perfect for an overnight stay) but there are too few kitchen utensils. A few more knives so that you can make a salad and a couple of extra cups and bowls would make the world of difference. The kitchen rubbish bin is also very small and does not accommodate more than a cool drink can and perhaps a sandwich wrapper. Clearly really struggling to find something negative to say - it was lovely.

Perfect pet friendly spot

Great location, room was spacious, clean and the pet friendly garden was perfect. Menus from local restaurants were in the rooms (and they deliver!) The food we ordered from Inne Kraal was amazing

The walls between the units are a tad thin so i could hear murmurs from other guests, but that is a minor thing in an overall excellent experience

True Hidden Gem

True hidden gem in Colesberg . By far the best safe stop to have a good night's rest . Simple and efficient check in / out procedure. Will definitely stay again

A lovely stay with a very comfortable room beautifully decorated and with such attention to detail.

Such a lovely room. We were upgraded when they realised I was travelling with my daughter so we could have different beds and more space.

Superb

The room was clean, comfy and beautifully decorated :). The luxury of an inverter makes a huge difference - it was so wonderful to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee, sit under an electric blanket and watch movies - during load-shedding!

Modern and safe halfway stop

The accommodation was nice and has a modern neat interior feel. The property has high outside perimeter walls with electric fencing and thus feels safe for an overnight stay in the middle of the Karoo. The host is very friendly and accommodating. She arranged to open the gate remotely for us when we arrived at the property late in the evening with self check-in.

The towels felt quite small in size and thin. The fabric couch upholstery was quite old and stained compared to the rest of the furnishings.
