We took over the whole property. It has 2 bedrooms in self contained ‘unit’ downstairs and 3 upstairs. There are many areas to sit both inside and out. The pool was fabulous and the views spectacular. One thing to note there are a few silent mosquitos so take repellent if you are prone. Fantastic kitchen and fully stocked equipment wise. The owner is delightful and very helpful. We arrived after a power cut and he brought in his friendly electrician to get it up and running. He was very responsive to questions. We thoroughly enjoyed staying there.

Great host and lovely home! We would do it again in an instant. We loved the quiet privacy and beauty of the home and surrounding country side; although it's away from the hustle and bustle of a town it's proximity to important sigh seeing places made this lovely to rest in or take off from to adventures. Thank you!

We loved our time at Casa Afrodite! The location is up in the mountains, which means you have the most spectacular views over the valley. It's a quick drive down to Almuñécar and it's easy to get taxis to and from the city. The house itself was very large and spacious with many wonderful outdoor areas to relax in. The rooms were all very comfortable and there were many bathrooms! Also a very large kitchen space. The hosts were very welcoming and told us everything we needed to know. I hope to come back again one day! Highly recommend!!!

The property was everything we hoped it would be: spacious, modern, clean and had amazing outdoor space. We hada wonderful week and enjoyed every moment. Just far enough from the beach and city to feel the peace and beauty of the mountains, but close enough to enjoy all the conveniences and experiences of the coast.

A peaceful and beautiful setting for a memorable holiday away from the crowds in a clean, spacious and very well equipped villa. Our friendly hosts Kris & Marita welcomed us and responded to our request promptly even providing a large paella pan for us to use along with home grown hot chilli peppers. As it says on the description, a car is essential as there are lots of great places to visit and eat - for which our host gave us details but we also appreciated just staying in the villa enjoying the views and watching the eagles from the terraces . We stayed with our three adult children plus partners and there was a comfortable amount of space for everyone. We would recommend this Villa and also that you pay attention to Kris's instructions on how to get there!

We had a wonderful week in this beautiful location. The house is well appointed and very comfortable and the views are breathtaking. Krister was an attentive host. Jete is a sweet village and the local shop has everything and is run by a very helpful man. Would highly recommend this house.

we had a fantastic stay at Casa Aphrodite.
The villa is as described.
Great kitchen with two fridges two dishwashers fantastic place to barbecue and Cook the air conditioning in the Villa was fantastic TV with the Bose sound system was great could not fault it in anyway.
Big shop was 30 mins drive.
We did Alhambra which is 1hr drive for 10am entire and back by 5pm for the Pool.
Beach is 20mins went in morning and back in the pool by 5pm.
Frigiliana is great Spanish village to visit.

Wonderful holiday
What a stunning this villa is. We have had the most amazing week and have enjoyed every minute.

Sehr schöner Aufenthalt
Wir verbrachten mit zwei Familien eine Woche in diesem Haus. Es war nahezu alles perfekt. Es gibt tatsächlich keinen Grund zur Klage. Wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen. Vielen Dank an Hrn. Ackerfeldt.

Lugnt läge med underbar utsikt.
Villan ligger avskiljt på en kulle tillsammans med ett fåtal andra fastigheter varav en bebos av hyresvärden.
Närheten till värden Krister som också kommer från Sverige var naturligtvis ett extra plus.
Villan har en fantastisk rymd med alla fönster och ett stort öppet kök med tillhörande matplats.
Köket är mer än välutrustat. Det finns allt, till och med två diskmaskiner.
Vad som kanske inte framkommer av bilderna är att det finns en liten trevlig separat våning under vardagsrummet med två sovrum och ett badrum. Även där har man fin utsikt över
dalen.
Flera uteplatser runt om huset är också ett stort plus.
Ett av sovrummen angränsar till husets värmepump och den låter lite. Inget som störde de andra i sällskapet och det finns gott om andra sovrum att välja på om man är överkänslig :-)
För övrigt är det helt tyst i huset.
Vi bodde i villan i januari och kan därför inte uttala oss om själva poolen men den såg fin ut.
Läget nära bergsområdet ovanför Otivar var perfekt för oss som gillar vandringar med spektakulära vyer.
Vi kan starkt rekommendera boendet och hoppas på att kunna återvända.

Wunderschöne Villa in traumhafter Lage
Wir haben den Aufenthalt mit unserer gesamten Familie von neun Personen wirklich sehr genossen. Besonders den um diese Zeit im Oktober beheizten Pool. Der Ausblick und die Sonnenuntergänge sind wirklich herrlich. Kris war immer sehr hilfsbereit.

Tweeweekse zomervakantie
Schiiterende woning. Alles wat je kan wensen is aanwezig. Mooi zwembad en prachtige buitenkeuken. Een punt van aandacht voor de volgende bewoners is dat je minimaal 20-25 min moet rekenen voordat je bij de snelweg bent of supermarkt. Verder is het toegangsweggetje smal, hobbelig en bochtig. Zelf geen probleem mee maar voor iemand die dat lastig zou vinden is dat wellicht een issue.

Our amazing stay at Casa Afrodite ❤
Casa Afrodite is an absolute amazing property, set on top off the mountain the views are to die for. The pool and outdoor kitchen area is great and we made the most of this space, all round a beautiful villa.
We met Krister on 2 occasions, he made us feel more than welcome, he also give us a lot of information about the local area, a gentleman. We will definitely be going back!!

LA CASA ES IMPRESIONANTE Y MEJORES VISTAS
Todo parecía bien pero había algunos problemas, por ejemplo las neveras no funcionaban demasiado bien, la ducha compartida de la planta de arriba no se podía utilizar porque se salia el agua y la tapa del wc estaba rota, no hubo mantenimiento de la piscina en 5 días de estancia, el agua en el penúltimo día sábado comenzó a ponerse verde, además y como dato, no es casa completa como tal ya que está dividida en una vivienda en la parte superior y un apartamento en la parte inferior.
Son detalles a mejorar ya que merece la pena el lugar así como las vistas

Beautiful vacation in Jete, Spain
We spent two weeks in Casa Aphrodite, a bright and beautiful house perched on the spur of a mountain in Andalusia, southern Spain. The house overlooks a special vista of hills and valleys that descend down to the sea, which is often visible in the distance. The owner, who is engaging and delightful, met us after our drive down from Madrid and had bought some essentials for us to carry us until we could provision for ourselves. The house is roomy and immaculate and almost all rooms have views out into the beautiful mountains. The salt water pool is big and cool, something desirable in the heat of the day. It also overlooks the stunning view.
We very much enjoyed our stay and can recommend this house without reservation. We would be happy to return. Thanks to Kris.

Lovely quiet location. Great valley views, especially the sunsets. The villa is well fitted out, and the driving instructions made it easy to find.

Beautiful, remote peaceful villa
Overall the stay was great. The villa is beautiful with the most amazing views with plenty of space for 10people. We had a few issues the the electricity cutting out and spending two evenings in darkness with no aircon. But once the issues was found it was fixed quickly and it was easy to communicate over whatsapp. Kris was not there on our arrival (no problem) but we didn’t then really know how everything worked, leading to a bit of confusion. But overall the villa was beautiful so these were minor. The villa is a 30min drive from shops, so a car is essential.

Oförglömliga dagar
En underbar plats att tillbringa semestern på. Huset är rymligt, generöst och smakfullt möblerat. Vi var åtta personer som delade boendet och det fungerade utmärkt. Läget är fantastiskt men man får räkna med en bilresa på ca 30 min innan man når havet. Hyresvärden var mycket tillmötesgående och svarade alltid snabbt på våra frågor. En del hushållsapparater hade behövt ses över men över lag är vi mycket nöjda och kan varmt rekommendera detta boende. Full pott från oss!

Five stars for most aspects but we had trouble with drain smells and showers that didn't flow away and overflowed. Several of the lights didn't work and two air-con units didn't regulate.
For a 'top dollar' villa this was disappointing.

Tolles Haus mit Mega-Aussicht
Wir waren mit insgesamt 10 Personen im Haus. Krister, der Vermieter war sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eigentlich nichts, was zu bemägeln wäre. Das Haus steht in einer exponierten Lage über dem Tal und man hat eine fantastische Aussicht auf die umliegenen Berge und das Meer. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist ebenfalls super (Flatscreen, Bose,...). Auch in der Küche ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man so normalerweise auch zu Hause hat. Ansonsten ist alles so, wie es auf den Bildern aussieht. Wenn wir wieder mal unseren Urlaub in Andalusien verbringen, kommen wir sicher wieder.

Beautiful villa with amazing views
We had a wonderful week in the villa and were a group of 9.
There was plenty of space for all and the views were breathtaking.
The kitchen is very well equipped and air con throughout.
We travelled to Granada for the day, the waterfalls close by are beautiful, Frigiliana for the evening and the beautiful natural park beaches around Maro.
A few points to note -
The reason we booked was for peace and tranquillity but when we arrived the owner was building a house next door and planting palm trees just under our terrace which meant construction noise from early morning. This did taint our stay which was unfortunate.
Some of us did find the beds uncomfortable, particularly the double in the main house. Maybe look at replacing?
Despite specifically being told to not clean the house and only put out the towels when we left, we had a rather abrupt text from the owner about the cleanliness of the house which left a sour taste after a lovely week.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and the position and villa did make up for the downsides which is why we have still given it a 4.
We would have liked to know about the construction before hand as this was the major downside of our stay.
Hopefully this will all be finished and will not taint anyone else's stay in Villa Aphrodite.

Fantastisk villa med underbar utsikt!
Vi bodde 9 personer i denna underbara villa. Många väl genomtänkta detaljer i inredningen. Fräscht, vackert och ett mycket välutrustat kök. 2 diskmaskiner var superbra. Vi använde också utomhusgrillen och den vedeldade ugnen. Det fanns flera sittgrupper utomhus som vi uppskattade mycket. Utsikten var lika fantastisk dygnet runt. Vi saknar den.
Poolen var givetvis centrum under de varma dagarna. Närområdet var spännande med bl a ett besök på Alhambra.
Ägaren är svensk och bor bredvid.
Bästa boendet! Rekommenderas varmt.

Great villa in nice remote surroundings. All the facilities needed.
Large enough for 2 families, we were 9 inc.
2 kids.
Car needed to reach the villa, be ready to drive in the mountains, which we enjoyed.
Good service from the hosts.

Très satisfait
Nous avons passé 9 jours bien agréables en avril dans la villa de M. Chris, nous étions 3 couples avec 4 enfants; la chambre à l'étage inférieur permet à 4 personnes d'être totalement indépendantes. Villa très confortable et bien entretenue;
La vue des terrasses est magnifique et malgré une météo mitigée nous avons pu profiter de la piscine (chauffée), bien entretenue elle aussi.
La situation à flanc de colline est parfaite, endroit calme, petit commerce à qq. minutes en voiture et grande surface à 15mn.
Le propriétaire, M. Chris, très sympathique, est toujours disponible pour toutes explications sur le matériel et son fonctionnement.
En résumé, je recommande vivement cette location.

Amazing modern villa with breathtaking view!
We went to stay here for a relaxing long weekend. The house is very well equipped, spacious, and full of light. The location in the mountains is unbelievable beautiful and very quiet. In the end of November, it was around 22 C and we used the clean and fresh pool.
We also used the lovely outdoor kitchen and the wood oven BBQ.
The house was overall very clean and proper. We would highly recommend this villa!

A perfect getaway
We were 9 persons from age 3 months to 70 years getting togehter in this beautiful house to spend some time together, celebrate a 70th birthday and of course experience Spain's tropical coast.
We found casa afrodite with it´s modern and beautiful design, location close to the mountains and the ocean, pool and a stunning landscape just perfect. Nice and clean rooms for all generations and a big kitchen with all the appliances you need, the living room, master bedroom and the 2 bedroom apartment have an astounding view over the valley and ocean. The photos of the villa do not do it justice, everything is so much better.
We had no problem parking our 3 cars. You will not be disappointed, its the perfect getaway.

Ein wunderschönes Haus!
Wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern) haben im Oktober 2 Wochen in der Villa Casa Aphrodite verbracht und waren total begeistert. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist perfekt, es fehlt an nichts. Wie auch schon ein anderer Gast geschrieben hat: das Haus und die Lage ist tatsächlich nochmal schöner als auf den schon gelungenen Photos dargestellt. Das Haus liegt ca. 20 min von Almunecar entfernt sehr ruhig in den Bergen....genau das, was wir gesucht hatten. Also weniger etwas für Urlauber, die Trubel suchen. Der Pool ist ein Traum und von der Aussicht bekommt man nicht genug. Der Vermieter ist sehr nett und stand uns mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Great Holiday Location
This is a rare case where the photos of the villa do not do it justice. Large open plan living area, large workable kitchen and superb outdoor area. The views from the property are outstanding and in the morning you can watch the sunshine move across the valley towards you. The property is tastefully furnished with good quality items and is a comfortable place to rest and relax. Internet access is good (I could stream video / films from the internet) and the owner is in the process of making it even faster. The owners live in the villa next door and are very friendly and helpful.

The Most Beautiful Retreat
On arrival this stylish modern house was even better than the lovely pictures. We were greeted by Kristen who was most welcoming and helpful. We were a family of 2 adults and 5 children under 12 and everyone feel in love with the beautiful views, contemporary design and the great layout. It was idyllic and peaceful but equipped with everything you could want including a wonderful Bose music system. Highly recommend it.

"The biggest challenge was to find the intersection to Casa Afrodite in the twilight – we passed it three times! But what a pleasure when we finally found the house, it looked even nicer than in photos. And the mountains, in the light of the full moon the landscape was like a dream.
Ask the owner (living next to you) about local wines, restaurants, best mountain routes, practically anything and you will save your time and money and get a plenty of good hints. Restaurants are not behind the corner – so a very good idea is to order a dinner/lunch from a british couple living nearby. They make just wonderful food with local cheeses, tapas type delicacies etc.

"The best place for rest! This is new, well equipment nice house. There is the fruit garden. Even you can enjoy big heated swimming pool. Owners are very helpful friendly people. We are going to be there again very soon, just miss it."
