Overall it was suitable for our needs and very accessible to local attractions and public transport. Would recommend for

The property is in a very good location being a 10 minute walk to the main attraction areas of the city, for example the Market or Marina. Staff were attentive and very responsive when every I reached out. Depending where you would like to go public busses are either at your door step or a short walk away. A choice of 2 supermarkets were an easy walk away. Apartment was comfortable to stay in.

There is a couple of improvements that could be looked at. It would have been nice to have a bottle of water, tea and coffee and some milk on checkin. Even if it was enough to get you by for 24 hours. We arrived a 2am and had no way to purchase even water at that time of the night. It would be wise to invest in installing A door bell for the apartments would make things easier especially when tour groups come to pick you up or in my case when family or friends came over would have to call each time to let us know when they arrived. A shower caddy would be advisable especially for those who are staying for long stays like we did. An additional key to the apartment would have been better than just the 1 set that we had. To be fair I never asked for an additional key, however having the additional set would have made it easier for the group to have a little more independence.

I did enjoy it but the noise was awful

It was very noisy and because there was no air conditioning you had to have balcony door open and there was always a nasty smell in bathroom. I did enjoy it

Casa Ribeira home from home

This loft was clean and comfy and well located.

The room was not serviced daily..

Really good VFM and helpful landlord

Location and accessibility to centre and main areas. All key things needed to stay in place.

A bit noisy sometimes with back of property backing onto street with bars / small restaurants - but after a few wines no issue.

Great value for money + location

Great location right in the center of Funchal and Good value for money. It was nice that the building has washing machine for clothes. Lady in the store downstairs is exceptionally nice and helped with any questions.

Communication about check in could have been more informative. While the replies were fast, I didn’t quite understand if I need to call someone or we set up a meeting time. Also, lot of little ants in the kitchen. Otherwise all great!

No recommendable!

Very noisy location with a lot of traffic, so the balcony was not that usable. On top there was very noisy construction work going on even on Saturday in the channel in the street, would have been nice to know! Kitchen and dining place was in the middle of the appartement without windows. Very basic quipped kitchen, but at least they have the cutting board we bougth now. When leaving we never got the deposit and remaining money back for the card for the parking house, and there was no reply on mails, calls or SMS. Don´t pay a deposit without a FIRM agreement on repayment!

Very Good

the location is exlent a few minutes from the marina and in the opposite direction a few minutes from the old town lots of good restaurants and bars, also the cable car and nearby a couple of large supermarkets, just to add a few things, shower very good, lots of clean towels, also things like washing up liquid, shower cream, tea towels, things you would not think of taking on holiday

the stairs are quite steep we were ok but some people might think differently, it might be an idea to put usefull information such as wifi code and password in an infomation book and any thing else that might be useful to tourists the property is in the centre of the city so has some noise but in my opinion not bad, thats all the ngatives i can think of so really not bad
