A small rustic cabin with water access, as advertised. Easy access to town and hiking trails. We would consider staying here again.

Overall a very comfortable home, with lots of character, and beautiful and private waterfront lot. The second we walked through the door, it smelled perfectly like the old cedar cottqges from our childhood and we were transported to the good old days. We only had two complaints, otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to book the same cottage again next time. 1. The bunk bed mattress was a tad lumpy, and 2. we were unaware that a train travels through Greenville and the sound does travel across the water pretty well. We got used to the daily train, but the first night we were there, we were awakened at 1am by the train horn blowing on and off for ten to fifteen min straight. We are assuming there was perhaps a moose on the tracks...? Fortunately that was not the norm and the rest of the week it made its daily trip through town and we barely noticed it.

This property is only steps away from Moosehead Lake with a convenient ramp and dock. Close to downtown Greenville and shops, restaurants, museums and natural beauty throughout the North Woods. Neighborhood was quiet, very little traffic (other than deer & additional critters) and perfect sunset views from the porch overlooking the lake. Basic needs met, along with WiFi, tv with streaming services. Classic interior style for a historical family cabin.

Beautiful little rustic cabin on the shores of Moosehead Lake. Great sunsets and the opportunity to see sea planes come and go. Our family had a great weekend there!

Not cleaned before arriving
Although the cabin was not cleaned before we arrived, the Vacasa cleaning crew came right over after we called. They said it was a scheduling problem that caused them to not have the cabin cleaned before we got there. I would have expected a proactive call to let us know about the problem and for them to have corrected the schedule before we got there and called them about it. Vacasa is also refunding us our cleaning fee.

Great view
I loved the view of the lake and the seaplane taking off and landing. Please note that renters are required to do the dishes and take trash to a separate location at departure.

Wonderful lakefront vacation
We had a wonderful week on Moosehead Lake with our dogs. The house was just as pictured on the listing. Great views of Moosehead Lake from the porch and amazing sunset on the dock. The house has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. My only two negatives are that the mattresses are terrible especially in the master bedroom. I wish I had brought a mattress topper for the bed it would have made sleeping more comfortable. My suggestion to the owners is to replace the mattresses when they can. The other thing I noticed are that some of the screens have big holes in them and did not latch on properly making some of the windows unusable unless you want to let the bugs in. However there are some with good screens so with some extra fans from home we were able to be comfortable. Overall I really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house.

Comfortable. Accommodating for dogs. Several caveats:
1. No screens. Makes it quite stuffy overnight and it was cool and rainy when we were there. Hot weather would make difficult sleeping.
2. A canoe. But no oars or life-vests. So unusable.

This Is What I Imagined Maine To Be
This cabin is rustic but beautiful inside! And the view out the back is to die for! Watch the sun set right from your private dock. Didn't use the wood stove but looks like is will easily warm the whole cabin. Mattress and pillows could use an upgrade. Whoever washed dishes before us needs a lesson (we ended up pre-washing dishes we used). Too bad the canoe is not for guest use. Almost perfect cabin with just the right amenities!

Great stay!
The property is a classic Maine cabin. Very warm and inviting. It had everything we needed. The front porch reminding me of On Golden Pond, an idyllic water view with mountains in the background. The waterfront has a great dock but bring water shoes as water access is a scramble down the rocks from the shore. We rented a paddle board and kayak from Northern Outfitters which was easy to put on our roof rack. Local restaurants and shops are just up the road from the cabin. It has private waterfront, clean and well laid out. We will rent again.

Cute getaway
Wonderful location right in town, yet lots of privacy with trees shading the house. Cabin very well equipped. I would describe it as rustic in a good way. Loved the treats and dog dish, though I wasn’t able to bring my dog as expected. Lake’s edge is just a few easy steps away with a wonderful swimming dock. Great place for kids. Wished I could have stayed longer.
