The Casa is located between Manuel Antonio and Quepos, Costa Rica. Both towns are located on the Central Pacific Coast, less than 100 miles from the capital of San José. Enjoy balmy year-round temperatures that average from 81⁰ to 90⁰F (27 to 32⁰C) and year-round 85⁰F (29.5⁰C) ocean waters. Manuel Antonio is Costa Rica’s honeymoon capital and most exotic tropical destination. The Manuel Antonio area combines timeless tropical scenery and one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Costa Rica which has, as backdrop, emerald-green forests and lush hillsides. The public beach of Playa Espadilla offers excellent swimming, rental of beach chairs, sun umbrellas, kayaks, snorkeling equipment, boogie boards and surfing lessons. You will also have access to international restaurants, spas, galleries and up-to-date services. At the villa, you are just minutes away from Manuel Antonio National Park, one of the world’s most spectacular rain forest nature reserves. With its tropical trails, stunning white-sand beaches, coral reefs and tidal pools, this land-and-maritime Park is a stand out jewel in a country famous for its natural beauty. The Park includes four picture-perfect beaches, each with its own personality. Anyone with a snorkel and mask will be mesmerized by the aquatic life around the coral reefs and submerged volcanic rocks that line the coast between the Park and Quepos. Manuel Antonio National Park is home to an astonishing variety of tropical wildlife. Explore the Park on a well-established network of trails. The most interesting trail is the small loop that takes you around Punta Cathedral, with its breathtaking view of the Pacific. Be on the lookout for hundreds of species of animals and birds, including White-faced (caphuchin) monkeys, squirrel monkeys, howler monkeys, coatimundis, agoutis, two and three-toed sloths, toed anteaters, iguanas, marmomsets, ocelots, river otters, pacas and spectacled caimans, land crabs, parrots, brown pelicans, brown boobies, tyrant hawl-eagles, gray-headed chachalacas, soalter’s ant birds, toucans, and scarlet macaws. (Guest recommendation - For any excursion to Manuel Antonio Park and the Rainmaker Tour, make sure you book Josue. Our Villa House Manager will take care of this for you.)

With a variety of outdoor adventure and nightlife, the bustling village center composes six blocks of restaurants, bars, hotels, art galleries and gift shops, all resting beside the main beach and sport fishing fleet.

We had a great time at the house. This is our second stay in the home. Look no further. This is the best place to stay. Great view and awesome pool. Fernanda was great with all the support and helpful suggestions. She was great helping us with a few excursions. The house has the best view with privacy. The sunsets on deck eating dinner at night was better than the restaurants views. We will definitely come back.

Everything about this house was perfect for myself and my 2 adult kids and 17 year old. The views were amazing and worth the steep drive up. The drive up is paved with tight curves and very steep but once I drove up once and got over the nerves I handled just fine the 20 other times I did it. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thanks for the memories!

We really loved this place. Fantastic view, wonderful pool, comfortable beds and close to town. We saw lots of wildlife from the deck. Only drawback is the steep drive to the place.

This rental was perfect for two couples, each couple had a beautiful clean master suite. The property was beautiful with the most amazing views!
We enjoyed the pool and patio after our adventures every night!
It is so helpful to have your own Concierge to plan everything you need, Maria was amazing and so helpful! We had a personal chef Daniel that cooked us a yummy dinner, and also booked couples massages.
Maria also booked us a guide for Manuel Antonio park, Josue an was amazing guide and pointed out several things that we would have never seen ourselves.
The rental is very close to all the cool places you will want to visit on the pacific coast, and to many delicious restaurants.
Don't hesitate to book this amazing rental!
We hope to be back soon!

The house is exactly as pictured. Very clean. No a/c in main room which did get very hot but the two master bedrooms have ac which kept the rooms very cool. The outdoor living area and pool was perfect. The furniture is so comfortable, views amazing, and the pool was just perfect. We really enjoyed it everyday it’s bath water yet still refreshing. We traveled end of April 2024. Very very steep driveway. We debated about renting a car or not and I would recommended 100% to get around. Would be too difficult to walk anywhere in the heat with the steep driveway and roads. Close to Manuel Antonio national park. You need to buy tickets in advance for the entry time and day you want. Maria was so helpful and responded to anything/everything very quickly !!
Thank you for a wonderful first time in Costa Rica!

This rental is perfect for two adult couples traveling together. The view from the porch was so incredible it brought tears to my eyes the first time I saw it. It was so clean and well kept and stocked with everything we needed and more. All involved employees were prompt, helpful and kind with a special shoutout to Maria. We took advantage of the private chef, massages, and Manuel Antonio tour and all of them were absolutely incredible.

We had a great time staying here for a short fishing trip get-a-way. It’s very clean with a spectacular view and a great pool! It’s absolutely perfect for a family or two couples. Definitely recommend!

This house was perfect for our family of four. The drive from the main road is VERY steep with sharp turns but once you are at the house the view is gorgeous! We loved watching the ocean and the birds (macaws, toucans, etc) flying by! We also saw a rainbow making the view extra special. The house is beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The house manager was kind and communicative. My only regret was starting a load of laundry. The washing machine has a lot of steps and I wish I realized that before starting.

Look no further and book this gorgeous two bedroom private getaway nestled in the hills above Quepos. Absolutely everything about our stay here was perfect. The house is up a very steep drive but you are fine with a regular car as long as you take it slow and easy. Once you get to the top, the view is simply breathtaking. You will see macaws fly by regularly, the town below, and the water in all directions. The house is beautifully decorated with the most comfortable beds and absolutely everything you could need in the kitchen, pool area, laundry, etc…The outdoor living spaces are gorgeously manicured and words cannot describe the flowers and attention to every little detail. The pool is the perfect temperature, looks out over the mountains and is the best thing to come home to after your adventures around the area. We were so completely impressed with all aspects of this rental - a special shout out to Maria for all of her recommendations and help with booking massages, tours and great restaurant advice. Thank you and we will most certainly hope to visit again!

The house was awesome. Fernanda was the best host. She setup fishing trip for my birthday. It was a great day. My awesome woman caught her first tuna ever. The other trips were awesome. Can’t say enough about the beach. Definitely buy the $16 ticket for manual Antonio park. And go in and enjoy the beautiful with sand beach you won’t regret that. If anything the morning coffee and dinners on the patio was the best part. We hung out in the pool every night after dark to relax and talk about the day we had. The chef was great. Recommend the Chili Bus. It’s small dive across from banko popular. Carnita burrito is the bomb. Best parts was beach time, patio time eating dinner during sunset. And relaxing in the pool after a hard day of playing, excursions, and having fun

Believe it or not, the photos don’t do the beauty of this place justice! The views are stunning, the property surrounded by birds, lizards and jungles as far as the eye can see. The pool is the perfect temperature to wake up in the morning and to unwind in the evening. The house has everything you need to relax and unwind. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and cooking tools. The beds are so comfortable! As other reviews have said, the driveway to get to the house is a bit daunting… but worth it. After a couple trips up and down we were doing it like pros! Maria was fantastic at organizing tours and giving us suggestions for local dinning and experiences. I can’t say enough good things about this property and hope to be back one day soon.

From the time we booked, our host, Maria, was AMAZING! She connected us with amazing tour guides and the best chef ever! She was responsive and so nice. Even came over late one night when we locked ourselves out.
Loved the location of the house and it was PERFECT for two couples. Amazing views, relaxing pool and everything we needed to make our stay perfect! Thanks Maria, Chef Paige, Joseph and everyone else!!!

El Cerro is a beautiful home with magnificent ocean and mountain views from expansive veranda and living space windows. Communication is excellent and timely. We did not rent car and were well served by recommended taxi driver (same one for the all of our outings) as well as by the to and fro transport from San Jose airport. We highly recommend El Cerro!

This home is beautiful, the location, the amenities were definitely worth the drive from San Jose. Fernanda, our house manager, was incredible and very timely with any questions. We would absolutely recommend having the chef-Marisol and Israel, come in to cook for you! They were wonderfuland the food was exceptional. You will need a 4-wheel drive to get up the driveway to the home so be prepared for the ride. Quepos is a lovely community and we enjoyed our time there. We would recommend a tour of Manuel Antonio National Park while you are there, book your tickets early as they can be hard to come by! Be sure to take cash with you as the chef/park guides take cash only. We would absolutely go back for another week!

Just returned from 12 fabulous days in this villa. Others have addressed the gorgeous views and beauty of this villa so I will only say a big DITTO to all of those comments! What made our stay here stand out was the exceptional attention of the local hosts. Maria booked some fabulous activities for us, and was in constant communication with us. Being unfamiliar with the area, her communications and advice was invaluable to us. I book our vacations almost exclusively through VRBO and this was by far the best experience we’ve had! Special “shout out” to the private chefs Maria booked for us…Marisol and Israel were absolutely delightful and prepared the most delicious dinner for us.
Thank you for this amazing Costa Rican experience - Pura Vida!!

Terrific property with unparalleled views. Our first trip to CR and Quepos was a good choice. A rather lengthy but uncomplicated drive from San Jose airport. The house was perfectly designed for two couples although we were there by ourselves. Two almost identical bedrooms both with AC and private baths and great common living space. The wrap around terrace connecting to the pool area offers spectacular views. We took full, if not excessive advantage of the concierge service both before and during our trip. Strongly recommend you consult with them before making any ground arrangements including transportation, tours, rental cars, etc. Maria was our "go to" expert on all matters Quepos. As I frequently told her during our stay, "she's the best!" She made everything effortless. We could not be more pleased with our stay!

We really enjoyed this terrific house! The views were incredible and the comfortable outdoor seating areas were great to watch the wildlife and enjoy the beautiful setting! Seeing giant Macaws fly right by you and beautiful birds everywhere was amazing! A visit from a troop of monkeys one morning was super fun to see! The pool was incredibly nice…we spent time in it everyday and really enjoyed the swim-up bar, outdoor kitchen and view from that side of the house. The house layout was perfect for 2 couples with nice master suites and very comfortable beds, beddings and pillows. Dinner one evening cooked by the private chefs was an incredible meal and evening…definitely our favorite of the trip! The location near restaurants and activities in Manuel Antonio and the town of Quepos was great as well. Thank you for making this terrific home available to us!!

Great location right in Quepos. You can walk to the village, all the return walk is uphill and a bit strenuous. Great views, very comfortable beds nice pool. We took dozens of pictures of monkeys, Toucans, Macaws and other birds. Would return without question.

Very happy with the accommodations.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at this property. The check-in was simple and Fernanda was helpful and informative. The property was well-maintained and clean. All the appliances functioned properly, and we had no issues with the pool, bathrooms, etc. The views of the ocean and mountains were breathtaking, and the property is filled with wildlife (monkeys, macaws, toucans, iguanas, etc.) The location is perfectly placed between Quepos and Manuel Antonio, but I’ll admit the drive up to the home from the main road is very steep and winding, so I’d recommend using an AWD vehicle. This was our top Vrbo stay, and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

We stayed here the first week of September and upon arrival were immediately blown away by the beautiful view and villa. The pictures don’t do it justice. Everyday you are continuously blown away by the view. The beds were super comfortable, the pool was awesome, and the property manager Thomas and his assistant Maria were extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Overall we give this property a 10/10 and would recommend to anyone looking to visit Costa Rica. My friends and I would love to come back again.

We absolutely loved our stay here!!! From the moment we arrived everything we had planned with Maria went as smooth as butter!! She helped us plan everything… from our excursions, to private chefs, rides we needed, and anything else our hearts desired!! She was always available and everyone she recommended for us was first class!!! Jorge is the the best as well!!! It’s hard not to fall in love with everyone, and COSTA RICA!! I also highly recommend getting the private chef experience.. they are absolutely wonderful!!! We will definitely be going back as soon as possible!!! Thank you again to everyone who made our stay so wonderful!!! PURA VIDA!!!❤️❤️❤️

Loved staying here! Indoor/outdoor space was great. Views are amazing! Pool was spectacular. A/C in bedrooms worked perfectly. Maria helped us out whenever we needed it and was so responsive. Couple things to keep in mind.
Yes there is a washing machine however it is not your typical washer. I have never had to use a separate spinner before. The term driveway does not describe the steep road with all the twists and turns to get to the house. We had a 4x4 suv and it was not easy.
Overall great experience. Would highly recommend!

BEST VACATION EVER
My wife and I spent 7 days in this majestic place. This was hands-down the best vacation we have ever taken. The food was amazing, the wildlife was amazing, and the villa was amazing. We toured the rainforest, rode horses, snorkeled, rode ATVs, and climbed waterfalls. Maria was fantastic and was always available to give us suggestions for dinner or directions to a private beach :). The villa was spectacular and the views are breathtaking.

Paradise on the hilltop
The home was amazing! Whilst it is among others it is very private. The views of the ocean and mountains were beautiful. We enjoyed the pool every day. Maria was lovely and very easy to work with and communication was tops. She arranged tours for us with Josue and he was delightful, knowledgeable and friendly. As far as the driveway as mentioned in other reviews, it is a paved very steep series of switchbacks. We rented a small 4 x 4 and used a low gear to get up the hill. The walk down to the bottom to meet our guide was a bit slippery as there was a lot of rain, so if you are not sturdy on your feet I would recommend having the driver come up to the top to pick you up. We would love to live here! Costa Rica is absolutely beautiful and the people there are as well. :)

We loved our stay at Villa Lucera. The view from the balcony, which was incredible, took our breath away. We had an amazing view of the Pacific. The Villa was extremely clean and very well appointed. The mattresses were so comfortable that we took a picture of the brand. We enjoyed the pool every afternoon and even enjoyed drinks at the pool side bar. Maria met us at the property and was there when we left. She gave excellent recommendations and arranged covid tests at our Villa. A highly recommend a 4x4 to get up the hill to the Villa. But once you reach the top you will be well rewarded by the most amazing view. We cannot wait to return.

Best honeymoon EVER!
The climb is high but the views are worth it. My husband and I would roll out of bed and straight to the pool. The space is amazing and comfortable. Maria did an amazing job checking us in, booking tours/Covid tests and answering all of our questions. She really made our stay as easy and seamless as possible. We would love to come back.
