About this house rental
We respectfully request that you read the entire description to make sure this property will work for you and your dog if you are bringing a furry kid!
Welcome to my little piece of heaven. Dont be cramped in a hotel when you can spread out and enjoy the comforts of home? We honor a 5% Miltary/Veteran discount on nightly rental rate. Additionally we value our return customers with that same discount as well as those who refer a guest to us. These are paid at the completion of a guests' successful stay. These amounts do stack if applicable!
My charming farmhouse has beautiful hardwood floors and saltillo tile. The home sits on 1.5 acres. Over the years, the city grew around it. Yet, the rural atmosphere remains right out the door. Our water source is a well with Clearly Filtered Water Filtration Pitchers so you can have the best tasting water! Don't forget to fill your water bottles at the house before you go out for the day.
If you enjoy cooking, you'll love the large country style kitchen stocked with all the cookware, appliances, utensils and essential supplies such as organic flour, sugar and spices. And the organic coffee station and fine black and herbal tea collection will keep you perked up in the morning and relaxed at night.
My sister Jena Reno resides on the property in the home next door to the house. She is the reason the home and property looks so nice. Jena oversees the day to day operations of both the homes as well as the fully operable Organic Garden(aptly named OrganX-MT) located in the pasture area. (sorry folks the garden area is off limits for general use as we want to maintain its organic status:) If you happen to be staying with us during harvest time you may very well be able to sample some of our produce. Did I mention Jena is an accomplished chef who specializes in cooking Organic and gluten free meals? Jena has 20+ years of concierge and property management experience in the valley and on the mountain at Big Sky. Don't be surprised to find a freshly baked goodie greeting you upon your arrival!
Be advised that occupancy is based on two persons. Addition guests are charged a nominal fee.
As you are aware, very few vacation rentals allow you the privilege of being able to travel with your dog(s). If you are bringing a dog(s), you must communicate that in advance of your arrival. There is a $100 dog cleaning fee. We extend this privilege to our guests because we are pet owners and lovers ourselves. And as such, we have placed necessary limitations for guests which are not meant to be over restrictive, but rather to maintain the safety, beauty and integrity of our property. These limitations are non-negotiable. While we understand that accidents can happen, willful non compliance of these restrictions may subject you to a forfeiture of your deposit. Dogs are forbidden on furniture, and beds, or bedding, and are not allowed to be left unattended without prior approval which Jena will outline at orientation.
1. If you are bringing a Service Animal please bring your State Certifications of necessity.
2. Leashes are mandatory to and from car, kennel, and home.
3. There is only one dedicated pet potty spot on the property. It is a large fenced kennel at the rear of the garage. Kennel cleanup is provided for you. You are also free to walk your dogs off property. There are several large dog parks within minutes of the home. Please do not allow your dog to stop and pee on lawns, trees or shrubbery on the way to the kennel, car, or home.
If you are not familiar with Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley you are in for a treat. As I mentioned before my home used to be rural but now lies very centrally located within in Bozeman. All of your basic needs and amenities are only a few minutes away as are the numerous activities the area has to offer.
Bozeman is also centrally located for many of your outdoor hobbies. We are located within 50 miles of 5 major blue ribbon trout streams. The Madison, Gallatin and Jefferson rivers which make the Missouri River and of course the Yellowstone river. Additionally there are several spring creeks and streams, 2 ski areas, underground caverns, lakes and miles of trails for hiking and biking, snowmobiling, etc. We have museums and art and shopping galore.
The home also comes with a guest pass that will admit two for free to Montana Grizzly Encounter. Located just three miles East of Bozeman off Interstate 90. Get up close and personal with Grizzly Bears.
The list goes on and on and you are sure not to be bored around the valley. Enjoy your family and friends while you are here and enjoy my "Little Piece of the Country Right in Town" as well! We look forward to hearing from you!

The home was very clean and a beautiful place. The half-hour long orientation could have been condensed to ‘read the binder’. The property is also listed as pets friendly but pets are not allowed on the grass at all. They must use a shared small pen space with another dog. The land lady also entered into the home when we had it rented out and our animals were there. She was upset we had left the animals for 4 hours and then entered into the home to turn a light on, which I found inappropriate she entered the home while we were occupying it without permission.

So rare in the current landscape of Bozeman! Quaint. Clean. Ample amenities. Love our host!

We had a great time staying at the little piece of country in town. it was a perfect location for us, close to town and close to our son. The farm house had been exceptionally remodeled and has all the current amenities (actually first VRBO location to have usb ports for charging already in the room). The rooms were comfortable. The host was easy to work with and very personable. Access to fresh herbs, fresh fruit, and other food. I used the grill to cooks a nice roast. There is a big back yard and a nice patio to sit at. But, we just liked sitting in the kitchen of the house looking out, it reminded us both of childhood houses that were part of our youth.
I recommend staying here.

Believe what host writes and reviews about the rules. I was welcomed by host with a MANDATORY 20 min walk through home meeting of all guests and her. House rules, which there is a binder to reference if you forget is shown to you. Host lives on the property meaning in a trailer that runs parallel with the home 5 feet distance. Patio seating shown in pictures is directly in front of her trailer large living room window (privacy, I think not). As host stated when she saw "on camera" my dog peeing on the grass that the farm is "organic" and the dogs need to go off property (not a close walk) or brought to a dirt and concrete floor kennel on property. NOT dog friendly especially since they will go in with a blue light to see if dogs have sat/ rested on the furniture which is not allowed. At mandatory meeting you are shown a gate to be used and told where dogs are to be kept when you leave home- kitchen or laundry room. The home stinks of cigarettes which is because on this "organic" farm smoking IS allowed and there is an ashtray can 10 feet from the home. I did not mention the cigarette smell as after being read the mandatory rules I wanted to play nicely in the sandbox since I rented home for a week. Needless to say after I was told I was being watched on camera (dog peeing in grass at 4am) and confronting host about this, cigarette smell along with items listed above I left after 2 days and lost all the money I paid for a week.

The property was just as described and VERY well stocked with everything 4 adults needed! The BONUS Grizzly pass was so appreciated and a ton of fun. Also, host Jena was outstandingly accommodating, helpful and kind. I would say Jena was the best host we have ever worked with and we would highly recommend this property!!!

Great central location close to all major attractions. Hostess on the property is very kind and helpful. Home is very well kept and fully stocked, including all you need for little ones. My family of 5 was quite comfortable. The yard is large and has plenty of space for kids to run in a safe enclosed area. There is also a large sandbox to provide plenty of outdoor fun in between all other activities the surrounding area has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was a true jewel of both a property and stay experience. Hosts were flexible - communication was excellent and hospitality was above and beyond anything I’ve had before! Very close to downtown and the family I was visiting. This will be my “go to” spot from now on when traveling to Bozeman!

This place is a haven in the middle of the busy Bozman. We stayed before and wanted to return. Our visit did not disappoint.
Rental is spotless, we had everything we needed. Jana , the property manager is very friendly and helpful. She called us to warn us about the weather storm. We got a dozen organic eggs and a loaf if homemade wholewheat sourdough bread. That was such a thoughtful gift. We definitely recommend this place and will be coming back.

Nice little oasis among the many townhomes and apartments in the area. The house is quite dated but incredibly clean and full of plenty of amenities. The one small bathroom may be an issue if you have more than 2 people. Beds are super comfy, and we slept very well! It was a quick drive into town, 5 min to Main Street.

We had a wonderful time. Our hostess Jena was incredible. Anything we needed she got for us. It felt like we were home for Christmas. She even put up a tree with lights. Our daughter lives close and was able to bring her dog(w/minimal restrictions). The fireplace, location, amenities were awesome. The temperature did drop to single digits at night and the back porch/laundry rm door was missing insulation from a previous renter's dog which made the kitchen really cold at night. That was the only issue. We just McGyvered a way to block the draft. Jena even managed to make it snow so we could have a white Christmas. We also were able to meet the owner Robert(Jena's brother) who was in town for the holiday. He too could not have been more gracious. We will be back.

We spent 10 days traveling throughout the state, this was our favorite place we stayed. Jena offers a southern hospitality that you don’t find anymore. She brought us fresh strawberries that were the best we have ever had. We will be back!

I stayed just two nights. Nicely decorated and supplied older home. The house sits right next to (a couple feet from) a double wide and on a lovely piece of land with a garden and chickens surrounded by new development on the NW side of Bozeman. The orientation was unnecessary as house rules are similar to other rentals but helps you to understand the proximity of the other house, history, and commitment to organics.
There is a window AC unit, but it gets nice and cold at night in Montana, so an open window at night was all I needed.

We had a wonderful stay at the "Piece of Country" property for our annual fishing and hiking trip. The location was ideal in that it was centrally located in Bozeman, which enabled us to conveniently drive to fishing and hiking sites in the countryside as well as visit Yellowstone National Park and the Beartooth Highway. Jena, our host, was always available to assist us and went out of her way to make us feel welcome with her delicious fresh eggs, elk burgers, pickles, relish and banana bread! Despite being in Bozeman city limits, the property was spacious and very relaxing after a full day of adventures. The house was well maintained and very clean.
Thanks again for a great time!

We came to visit our son for the weekend and this was the perfect place, so close to town.
Robert & Jena, you have a beautiful property and organic farm! Jena was the perfect hostess & made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was spotless upon arrival. Jena went above & beyond to make us feel at home & also welcomed our fur babies. She thought of everything to stock the house with amenities and extras, ie. condiments, coffee/tea/hot chocolate, spices, honey, shampoo/conditioner/body wash/hand soap, plenty of blankets, and much much more. Her homemade applesauce, apple butter, & pears were to die for:)
We happened to be there during a week-long rainstorm. The temperature was chilly and it rained every day that we were there. We needed an outdoor extension cord to plug our truck into shore power overnight...and Jena was right there to provide it. It was a challenge taking the dogs out in such wet weather but we did our due diligence to keep them clean upon re-entering the house. Jena had amenities by the laundry for pets. The towels were perfect to wipe their feet.
It was such a pleasant experience at this Bozeman gem.
We would highly recommend this property, and will definitely stay there again. Thank you so much for your superb hospitality and friendship. Hopefully, next time we come we can bring a shipment of cherries from Boise for you;) Robert, your sister is a gem, you've got a keeper! Thank you for honoring military & first responders.

My husband and I were in Bozeman to visit family and this was a perfect location for us. It was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Although were not around for much of the day, it was a pretty setting and even had a sandbox for our grandkids to use. Were the recipients of some delicious apple sauce and apple butter that Jena made.

I live in Bozeman but needed somewhere closer to town to stay for recovery from a surgery. The house was great and Jenna helped to make my recovery a much better experience. I stayed for two weeks and felt at home the whole time.

We were present for the record-setting, deep-freeze of Christmas week 2022 when the actual temperature dropped to -55 degrees with a wind chill of -74 degrees. Plus, the area had already received 86 inches of snow. This event set record lows for Montana.
Yet, the house was always warm and very comfortable for the 4 of us. It features a nice fireplace with kindling and firewood provided, two bedrooms, a complete kitchen, private-off-street parking, Wi-Fi, comfortable living room, two dining areas, and a wall-mounted TV. Just what we wanted.
The owner, Jenna, lives next door in a separate house. She is a remarkable lady. She went above and beyond to ensure our 9-day stay was warm, safe, and perfect. During our stay, she personally bought and crawled under the pier-and-beam floor to install extra heaters and electrical extensions to ensure our comfort. You cannot imagine such historic cold! Words do not do Jenna justice for the multiple, physical efforts she put into protecting our Christmas vacation home from disaster. This says a lot as other Bozeman residents and rentals were calling overwhelmed plumbers about frozen and burst pipes.
When we return to visit family, we will definitely stay at Jenna's VRBO.

We have always found it challenging to find a place that allows dogs in Bozeman. I am so glad I found this place. Our family had a fabulous time here. The location is great and within easy driving distance to downtown, shops, and restaurants.
Jena went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. Communication was seamless, and Jena was so generous and thoughtful. She organized a turkey for us, made sure we had all the right herbs and spices, and provided a roaster for us to cook the turkey in. Oh, and her homemade pickles were a real treat!!
The house is clean, the kitchen is well-equipped with all the essentials, and the wood fireplace was a bonus. We had a very comfortable week here.
Jena, we cannot thank you enough for your hospitality and generosity. We would love to come back.

A great location with close proximity to Main Street Bozeman and shopping.
Jena is a terrific host! She was very accommodating with our requests. The check-in instructions and orientation were detailed and super helpful.
The place was very well stocked with all basic necessities, and was super clear. Organic products in the kitchen and bathroom were an unexpected treat. The organic coffee a bonus.
We would certainly consider staying here again.

Great location and the host thought of everything. The place is neat, clean, and has all you need for a stay in the area. We took advantage of the passes to the Bear experience, and enjoyed fresh spinach from the garden outback! The teas provided were great and the family room was roomy and comfortable for us. Would highly recommend, and would stay there again.
