This house worked perfect for two families. Plenty of sleeping areas for everyone and the house had everything we needed. The location is wonderful on the lake, nice quiet cove to swim in, kayak, and renting the pontoon from the owner was so easy! Plenty of games in the house to keep everyone busy. We had 5 kids age ranges 15-22 and they always had something to do. Thank you for sharing your house with us. I was also super impressed with the check out process and I appreciate not having to do a lot of tasks in the morning when we have flights to get to.

We were looking for a place for our family to meet and spend sometime together. Lake Norman was perfect. There was plenty to do and the lake was fantastic. We had an excellent week with our kids and granddaughters.

We decided to go away for a weekend on extremely short notice and we found this property to be available, and it was a great stay! It was overall clean and the provided linens were very convenient. If you’re going to stay here, absolutely rent the boat - it’s worth it. **spiders are a thing, but just bring a spray bottle of peppermint oil diluted with water and spray in necessary areas.

3 high school friends and their hubbies enjoyed our visit! Views were great. Kayaked, played games and had fun. House was very nice, clean and had everything we needed.

We rented Brent's house for the Christmas holiday weekend. The house was spacious, clean and well appointed. Communication with Brent was excellent and he was very responsive. We would definitely rent from Brent again.

Enjoyed our stay in Sherrill’s Ford! The house is a perfect size and has everything we needed. Large bedrooms and nice bathrooms. Wonderful large dining room table and comfy living room. Plenty of seats for all. Beautiful kitchen with large island. Love love love the shady (but perfectly sunny in places) yard. Great view of the lake. enjoyed the pool table, video game (who knew I could still play Ms. PacMan??) and kayaks. We enjoyed it so much!

This home was the winner choice when traveling with teenagers (we had 8). Nice location in a private and quite neighborhood. Home can use some general modernizing, yet didn’t stop us from enjoying the place. Thank you.

My family and I rented the house for Presidents’ Day weekend and couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. The house is well appointed and the location is great. There are lots of things for the kids to when not out on the water. The dock is very nice and we rented the pontoon which worked out perfectly. Would definitely visit again and recommend the property to our family and friends.

Our immediate and extended family stayed for thebweek of Christmas through almost New Year. The home is large, spacious, contains everything you could need and has the most beautiful view! Pet friendly, child friendly and enough room to be close or far away from your family. Kids and adults all enjoyed the game tables and arcade machine. The huge balcony and deck were a favorite of mine, for a great view and a relaxing place to enjoy morning coffee.

We had a very nice time at the house. Had some issues when we arrived but were able to work them out with the owner. The views from the house/deck were outstanding. A lot of things to do at the house.

This home is in a good location with a great yard and driveway for kids of all ages to play. We enjoyed the nice view from the deck, and the home was very comfortable.

Fun Time
Everything was just as advertised. The whole family enjoyed the many activities offered...ping pong, basketball, billiards, arcade games, fishing, swimming, kayaking and we rented the pontoon too! It was our first trip to Lake Norman; won't be the last. The loft space did get warm during the day but cooled off enough to be comfortable for sleeping at night

Relaxing getaway
This is a beautiful lake house with a great view! Very clean! Our family really enjoyed our trip! Any questions we had while on vacation were answered promptly by the neighbor Doak or Brent his self. Thank you Brent for letting us stay!

Overall it was nice and it served our purpose well! Excellent view of Lake Norman. However there is a problem with the listing on VRBO. It reflects that the house has a hottub on the main page but the house does not. Listing information should be corrected.

The property was very nice and located in an excellent cove. Doak was kind and friendly when helping with the boat.
The weather was great and the scenery spectacular.
A few callouts- The loft bedroom is extremely hot even with a fan ( we couldn’t use it as it was just too hot) The mattresses in the bunk room and the pull out in the lower level were more like “cots or summer camp” mattresses. They were only a few inches thick and provided no support. They are fine for kids but not young adults or anyone with any weight.
The bunk room and the queen room do not have TV’s. Going with all older adults, you couldn’t retreat to your room for a little private time and watch tv.
The pictures are a little deceiving, we chose it for the flat land due to the older group that went. The walk to the water is not really flat and can be difficult for anyone needing assistance walking.

Great lake house!
We had a great trip, with this home as a comfortable home base. Brent was very helpful and his packing list has now been incorporated into my personal master packing list! The house was very clean and well furnished. We only ate breakfast and pizza at the house, so our kitchen use was very limited. Great views of the water, and the fire pit is enormous, allowing for plenty of room between the actual fire and the stone ring bordering the grass. There's a Publix 5 minutes away!

We had a nice and relaxing weekend. We enjoyed the game room. The kitchen was stocked with needed cooking utensils. Cooked several meals. The view was beautiful.

We visited over the Christmas holiday as a chance to be with our family in all one place and this home was fantastic! The children loved the swing set outside and the yard space to play. The view was gorgeous every morning looking over the lake and the decks were a great place to hang out and take it all in. The kitchen was spacious with lots of countertops and there was plenty of room for all the family around the table and living room. Such a fun layout for the kids and families to have their own space. Great home for the holidays! Brent was quick to answer any questions and a wonderful host. Would definitely stay there again. Thank you for the wonderful time!

Great Location and Lots to Do!
This is a great rental for family get togethers. We brought four kids and multiple pairs of adults to spend the week. The owner is great and responds quickly. The house is large, with a big main bedroom and bathroom, and another bedroom on the second floor for 2 people. Living room has a gas fireplace that heats the whole house. The third room can sleep up to 6 in bunks with pull out trundle beds. Plus, a third level has a twin bed for one more guest. The kitchen is large, although those who cook a lot might not find some of the specific things they need, but everyone else should if you are just making the typical meals. We made all our meals there, and it was fine (there is also a gas grill outside). What really sells this place is the amazing back yard, right on the water, with a dock and a GIANT fire pit, along with a huge deck that has plenty of nice views. We spent long evenings out there, even with the cold. The pool table and arcade game (with dozens of old-school games to choose from) were a BIG hit, as was the basketball goal and the ping pong table. What was really nice was that all of those things could be done by people in areas that were not in the main house, so people could have some quiet there. It was also really nice to be able to park in the garage, especially to keep the cars warmer for when we wanted to drive somewhere in the AM to shop or go hiking. Even the neighbors were great, introducing themselves and dropping off some extra fire wood we could use. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who wanted to stay in the area.

My family stayed to celebrate my mother's birthday, and it was great. There was plenty of room for my siblings and their families, the house was well stocked and the view was amazing! The host was very responsive and the house was very comfortable, would definitely recommend staying here.
