Host was super nice and it worked perfect for our little family

Victoria enriched our trip to DC by recommending places and providing info. We got the insider tips. Her place is clean and well appointed. She had everything we needed and thought of everything. It was a great place to stay in DC. Train is on the corner, as is a full shopping center and chain and ethnic restaurants.

Our son got a job in DC and we needed a place to stay to help him transition into a Columbia Heights apartment. Victoria's place was PERFECT.... or should I say PURRRRFECT? She has some lovely pets that will also greet you, but the third floor is all yours (pet-free!). We hope to stay again very soon - when we visit our son. THANK YOU VICTORIA.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Victoria was an excellent hostess, the location is ideal for visits to DC. I highly recommend the place.

Great location, charming and helpful host. Just what VRBO is all about for us.

Victoria is a wonderful host. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the city. My boys loved her cats and her dog.

Our family found this rental to be perfect! From the airport, it was easy and inexpensive to take the Metro to the home. Everything you need is conveniently located. It’s a very short walk to the Metro, Target, CVS, grocery store, fast food and sit down restaurants! The rental was also very clean and comfortable. Victoria was extremely accommodating. We flew out late, and she held our bags for the day. She gave us great advice on getting around...as well as local places to go. We made so many great memories and will be back for sure in Victoria’s perfect home. 💕

This was my first time using VRBO and I was so pleased with the experience. Victoria was such an accommodating host and her accomidations are so perfect. The apartment is spotless and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal, easy to get to and from the airport from the metro (just a half block from the metro stop) as well as all the Mall and Museums. The neighborhood is so full of great food options and Victoria has lots of info for the first time visitor

The home is comfortable and homey. It is located very close to Metro Station and restaurants. Victoria is accommodating and friendly. Had all we needed.
5.0
Victoria was a very gracious host; making sure we had everything we needed, knew where we were going, and were comfortable. She even made sure to tell me about the street parking so I wouldn’t get a ticket during street cleaning. Her property is just down the street from the Metro and is close to food and shops; which was perfect when we were tired from a day of sight-seeing. We’re looking forward to staying with her again when we come back to DC for Part 2!

It was a bit pricy, but hey, it's Washington, DC.
The locaton to get on the Metro was perfect, plus shopping and restaurants very close by.
Victoria was pleasant and accommodating for all our needs.
She just doesn't normally work with Expedica, so that delayed some of our confirmation communication.

Fantastic location around the corner from the metro station. Lots of shops and eating places right on the doorstep. Kids loved playing with the kittens. Victoria ever so helpful, lots of info provided / left behind by previous people. Comfortable bed, a/c works really well.

Victoria's place was in a great location, very close to the metro. The upstairs apartment was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Victoria was more than accommodating and went out of her way to make our stay great. She provided multiple sets of keys, metro cards, lots of recommendations, and even let us leave our bags at her place while we did some last minute sightseeing before heading home. Highly recommend!

This was my 2nd stay with Victoria and it was a perfect choice both times. I stayed with my husband in October when we came to meet our new grandson and it was perfect! Less than a block from the metro, which is so easy to use, and several restaurants within a block or two, which are easy to walk to.
Our apartment was clean and private and Victoria is a great host! She made the entire process easy and comfortable and when I was back in March with an Aunt, it was an easy choice to make as to where we would stay!
I would feel comfortable traveling and staying with Victoria by myself or with a companion!

This apartment is a wonderful place to stay and Victoria is kind and easy to work with. Our group of 4 was very comfortable. The room was very clean and the metro, many restaurants (both local and chain), and a CVS and Target are in easy walking distance. We enjoyed our trip to D.C. so much and the easy accessibility of this apartment was a lot of the reason. We would stay here again without question.

Our stay at Victoria's house was just what we needed. Very home like atmosphere; the place was quiet and clean; rooms were light and warm. When we walked in, the first thing that came on my mind was that the owner prepared everything for us nicely and she cares. The kitchenette really had more than we expected. Victoria was a great help at either recommending the best restaurants to eat or places to visit. Thank you so much Victoria. And if we ever go to Washington again, we would like to stay at your place.

We rented this apt. for the week leading up to our daughter's wedding last fall. It was very roomy for the two of us & made a comfortable home base, & is convenient to everything, especially the Metro. If you're a walker, there are lots of options within reasonable walking distance. We took advantage of the off street parking behind the house, which made life a little easier, too. Victoria was very accommodating & helpful & we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Just be careful you don't step on one of the adorable kittens on your way in/ out . . . they like to keep a close eye on things, as does Ginger the dog. All in all, a good value & friendly, comfortable place to stay in DC.

This was my second stay with Victoria, as usual, she is a wonderful host and ambassador for her city. The apartment is a very comfortable place to end a long day of sightseeing. Wide range of dinner and snack options within walking distance. Being on a direct metro line to Reagan National makes traveling extremely convenient. Having a host available to answer questions and give tips about what's going on in DC is a real plus. I would stay here again and recommend her to anyone interested in visiting DC.

My college-age daughter and I stayed at Victoria's place for 4 days during our first ever visit to DC. The location was perfect for catching the Metro only 1/2 block away. The National Mall and most other attractions are only about a 10 minute ride. Everything was just as described. Clean, comfortable and safe with all the amenities. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Spent a long weekend in DC visiting son. The location was perfect! less then a half block away from a Capital Bikeshare station and close to the Mall and other attractions. Capital Bikeshare bike rental stations are located throughout the city (and right next door to where my son lives, too)! A brief ride south on 14th has lots of great places to eat, and the Mall is just a little further, with bike stations located throughout.
Victoria left us in the care of a relative during our stay, so we unfortunately didn't get to meet her. Nonetheless, we were well taken care of. And yes, one of the great highlights for us was being able to play with the kitties. Of course the price was very attractive to us. We look forward to staying at Victoria's the next time we head to D.C. Loved it!

Much like trying to plan for our family's first visit to DC, I don't know where and how to start this review! This place was just perfect!! Victoria's lovely townhouse is literally 1/2 block from the Columbia Heights METRO station. So convenient!! We flew into Reagan and rode the METRO straight to the house. The home is located just a 1/2 block from the neighborhood's city center (METRO station) on a tree-lined street with a wide sidewalk. Our hostess and Ginger (the owner's sweet dog) greeted us at the door. She showed us around her lovely home and got us settled in our "apartment" space on the top floor of her home. The space was clean, well-kept, comfortable, nicely appointed and equipped for our stay (two adults, one 12 year old child). Victoria introduced our daughter to the kittens being fostered in the home and invited our daughter to spend all the time she wanted playing with the them. That was a wonderful way for our daughter to spend the little "down-time" we had in the house! After quickly getting settled in the apartment, we walked back up to the neighborhood's center which includes an IHOP, Five Guys (AWESOME burgers!!), a delicious pizza place, Panda Express, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A and a Target which includes groceries. I planned to do as much cooking as possible to save money and it was surprisingly easy to prepare simple meals in the efficient kitchen area. Victoria obtained a crockpot for me and between it, the microwave, toaster and an electric burner, I was able to prepare breakfast every day and several dinners. A great way to save money in an expensive town! We enjoyed EVERYTHING about our trip! Honestly, I felt like we had been there for much longer than a week, but in the greatest possible way! I didn't want to leave. Victoria was so gracious to us and very welcoming! This is a wonderful place to call your home-away-from-home while visiting our Nation's capitol. THANK YOU Victoria for all you did for us and for opening your home!

The listing was as described. We stayed for 6 nights with our kids, ages 8 and 6. We could walk quickly to the Metro, Target, restaurants, etc. Our kids loved visiting Victoria's foster kittens! There is an indoor playground called Magic Ground above the Target which our kids enjoyed. The beds, pillows and linens were very comfortable; we slept great! Victoria was very helpful with any questions we had. We had a wonderful time on our trip and were thankful for such a great place to stay. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Victoria told me her place was convenient, but I didn't have a complete understanding. I took my 7 y/o grandson on vacation and we did not have one issue. This apt. Is close to shopping, METRO, and tons of great places to eat. (You must eat at The Heights...yummy!)
The apt itself was very cozy, the bed was SO comfy. The kitchenette was well stocked with anything you might need. Victoria has gone out of her way to provide tons of traveler information. It was really wonderful to stay in her home ant not in a hotel. We have only beautiful memories than my grandson and I will never forget!

We loved our stay with Victoria! The location was excellent- very close to the Metro, shopping, and chain restaurants. It is also super close to the zoo. The apartment was perfect for our small family, cozy and clean!
If we could, we would give Victoria all of the stars, not just 5! She gave us such great advice on where to eat (Meridian Pint was one of her great suggestions and we loved the atmosphere- open front windows in the heart of a great area perfect for people watching and a playground nearby for the kids to run some energy off) and which Metro stops put us close to the specific places we were going. Victoria has SmartTrip cards for guests and we felt that was a thoughtful touch for us out-of-towners; one less thing to worry about while traveling with kids. She also had a couple of coupons that we were able to use when we visited the Zoo so our girls were really excited to be able to ride the carousel for free! Victoria was so kind and welcoming to our family, we felt right at home. If we ever venture back to DC, we will definitely be staying with her again!
(This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Ginger and the kitties (who stay in their part of the house)- our whole family loved them and the kids loved giving Ginger her treats! Made this pet-loving family feel even more at home!!)

This place is the best! Totally recommended. comfortable beds, cozy. We felt like home. We loved every aspect of the place.
We´re from Brazil and we are already planning to return in Feb 2018!
Victoria is very thoughtful and adorable. Such a lovely person.
Kisses to ginger!!!

We had a great stay at Victoria's apartment over the Christmas holiday. It's in a perfect location for us- close to the metro, shopping, restaurants (and only 3 blocks from our daughter's place.) The apartment is really clean and spacious for a couple. My husband could get up early and be in the living area without disturbing me. We stocked the fridge with snack and breakfast items and used the coffee machine every morning. The bed is very comfortable and we didn't notice any street noise. Victoria was very helpful with advice about restaurants, transportation and sightseeing. There is a drawer full of information in the form of pamphlets and maps of interesting things to do in the area. We really enjoyed the Columbia Heights cultural heritage walk. We'll definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed here with our three children. It was perfect for our situation.
Our 3 kids stayed in the bedroom and my wife and I used the sofa bed in the living room. The apartment comes with an inflatable mattress, which worked fine for our kids. They rotated who used it and said it was fairly comfortable.
The Columbus Heights Metro station is just a couple of minutes away by foot, making it very convenient. We went all over Washington from there. We left our car parked on the street, where it was safe.
The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor; it's self-contained and includes a bedroom, a living room, and a full bathroom. The living room has a small but functional kitchenette including a sink, bar fridge, and microwave. It's also nicely furnished with an Ikea armchair and the most comfortable pull-out sofa bed I've ever used. I actually slept soundly on its mattress. Guests have access to the washer & dryer on the 2nd floor. Also, the living room has nice big windows that overlook the street below -- for those who enjoy watching a busy street with a lot of pedestrian traffic.
The apartment is usually pretty quiet, although there was an occasional siren that sounded. The street on which the apartment is located is a route for ambulances. They shot by at least twice a day, day or night, while were were there. But it was no big deal.
The neighbourhood is thriving with shops, boutiques, pharmacies, and restaurants. A large department store, Target, is just around the corner; you can walk to it within 5 minutes or less. It has a grocery section that includes fresh fruits and vegetables plus a beer and wine aisle.
The parking is a bit iffy. You need to park on the street and spaces go quickly. But it's free. Just be careful to follow the parking instructions. The Parking 'Police' ticketted a few cars while we were staying there.
Finally, the apartment was very clean, tidy, and well stocked with extra pillows and blankets.

A friend and I met in DC for a vacation, and Victoria's place was just right for us. We each had our own space, and could still spend time together without feeling like we were falling all over each other. The apartment is very clean and well-appointed. Victoria was extremely accommodating and knowledgeable about the area; she gave us great advice on transportation and sightseeing.
The location is also fabulous - we started every morning at the Starbucks around the corner, and had dinner nearby a couple of times. It was very convenient having CVS, Chipotle, Target, Best Buy and many other stores and restaurants nearby.
Even though you go through the house to get to the apartment, we were able to come and go as we wanted and never felt like we were inconveniencing Victoria. We had complete privacy. I highly recommend this as a clean, safe and friendly place to stay.

I went to Washington D.C for a meeting and I stayed at Victorias's place. The apartment in the third floor is really cozy, lovely, comfortable, and super clean. Despite the fact you have to enter to her house to go to the appartment, the third floor is complety private and also is very nice ti feel the warmth of a home when you came home at the end of the day.
The metro station is just half block ahead and you have everything you need around the corner: restaurants, bars, Target, Marshall, Best buy, CVS, etc. Fully reccomended for every kind of trveler. Victoria is very friendly and helful person. Next time go to Victorias' place.

My family of 5 stayed with victoria this summer. We had everything we needed including a light beautiful apartment, washer and dryer with easy access, very close to metro station on the yellow/green line which was convenient to almost everything, just enough kitchen to prepare breakfasts or light meals, wifi which was very nice for our teenagers after a long day of sightseeing. There are lots of restaurants near the apartment as well as on the nearby metro stops. We didn't want for anything and it made a great "home base" for out time in DC. Thanks Victoria.

The owner help us a lot during our initial conversations. She provided us with good information about the location, which is really good, close to the metro and to a lot of shops and restaurants. The apartment was really nice and clean, comfortable for four adults (all family), we had everything we need. I used the sofa bed with my husband, for me it was comfortable. We loved our stay and we highly recommend it.
