About this apartment rental
Beautifully furnished Nelson Bay holiday unit has a spacious open plan living area with a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher. The air conditioned living area opens out to a large balcony with outdoor dining furniture and BBQ, a great place for alfresco dining while enjoying the water views across the bay. This unit overlooks a fantastic cycle and walking track, which makes for a picturesque ride or walk from Dutchies Beach to the Marina.
The unit consists of 3 bedrooms, main with ensuite and ceiling fan, 2nd bedroom has a ceiling fan and all 3 bedrooms have a balcony to capture the beautiful breeze.
Please note the complex next door is under construction
Internal steps in the uni - 9 to the front door, 2 from the kitchen to the living area and 4 to the bedrooms. There is 1 open car space so you can park the car and take a quick 2 minute walk to the heart of Nelson Bay.

Lovely outlook. Close to shops. Ensuite needs fly screen on window. Taps in shower in ensuite hard to manage.

Lovely unit, that view! And the lorikeets! Very relaxing. Unfortunately June being colder we didn't get to enjoy the verandah as much as we would have liked, but that was expected and views from inside still spectacular.
We loved the unit, it's location and all the nature around it. It is very comfortable and well set up. It was nice to go somewhere that has plenty of plates and cups etc. I love how big the living space is and that the bedrooms are so separate from this. Beds and couches are pretty comfy. Unit is very clean. There are some internal steps (2 smaller sets) which might be a problem for some. My sore knee was struggling after 8 days there.
Given we visited in June, it was especially nice that the unit had carpet and solid blinds so it was easier to stay warm. But a few mini heaters for the bedrooms/ bathrooms would be good for the colder months.

Only thing I'd comment on is that the ensuite shower has no door or curtain and it meant lots of water over the floor.
But I'd definitely visit again once my knee improves.

Loved it
the property was central to the town and marina, with a fabulous walking track at the front of the property. The unit was spacious and the views amazing. Would definitely stay here again

Wont be back
Wonderful location but property was dirty & tired. Doona covers need a good wash, pillows old, floor dirty. The jug in the kitchen is disgusting & not clean - inside the microwave was filthy. T V had to be fixed as Foxtel was not working on arrival - I reported that on Thursday but technician didn’t arrive until Saturday afternoon to fix it. To spend so much money for 7 days it is so disappointing & the fact that the property was just not up to standard - it’s tired and old & needs to be freshened up.
It has the potential to be a wonderful property but I won’t be back - For what I paid for 7 days rent is unreasonable for the condition of the property.

Great value
We have stayed in Skyline units for many years. A great location within walking distance to marina and CBD.
Unit is well appointed, comfortable beds and living area with reverse cycle.
All up a great venue and good value, especially out of season.

Great location & Views
Sadly the first thing that greeted us were large cockroaches in the living area, kitchen and later discovered in the rest of the house. A thorough pest control will help. Apart from that the place was comfortable, well located & had great views.

Great unit with superb views
This is our 2nd stay at 6 Skyline and we really enjoy it.For the location & price you could not do much better
The unit itself is well laid out and probably my only criticism would be the worn seats on the kitchen chairs;they badly need re doing. There was also a noise problem on first weekend of school holidays from a group of adults out for a good noisy party.Funny enough when the noisy ones left(after 3 nights) parents with young children came in above us and below us and you wouldn't know anyone was there
It was school holidays though so some noise is to be expected
Overall we love the unit and would definetly stay there again

Amazing views and great location
Ideally located and great views of the bay. Well equipped and comfortable - beds included.
We had lots of fly in visitors (parakeets) which the kids loved!!
Close to paths for walking and bike riding, walking distance to Dutchmans bay and marina and shopping village.
Plenty of space inside, easy parking and did I mention the view... Will be back.

Nice apartment, clean well equipped, good view, but beware no garage security. Had 2 bikes stolen after locks cut with bolt cutters.

(Almost) everything we could have wished for
The one and only negative was the bed (in the master bedroom). Mattress wasn't great and even the slightest movement caused an awful creaking/cracking noise that would wake us both up. (sounded like it would break!) Everything else was AMAZING! the view could not have been better, apartment was clean, spacious, affordable, close to town and had everything we needed for a perfect holiday.

This apartment close to town and has everything you need . Two complaints only , main bedroom bed to hard and BBQ cleaning accessories are really required . On a positive note it's close to town , great views and very much homely . Loved our stay!
