About this house rental

Sit back, relax and soak up the sun at this perfect holiday home right on the beach at Oamaru Bay. Situated less than 10 minutes drive from the heart of Coromandel, this fresh, clean property is ideal for that family getaway or simply time away with friends.

Less than 50 meters from your door is a safe swimming sandy beach where you can watch the kids from the picnic tables under the trees or better still from the comfort of your own balcony. For the keen fisherman, your boat ramp is right there in the centre of the Bay!

For added privacy and space amongst guests, there are 2 bedrooms both upstairs and down, each floor with their own bathroom. Please note that the bedrooms downstairs are only accessible from the front exterior door. They cannot be entered internally from upstairs so please take this into consideration if you are travelling with multiple young children. Bunk room downstairs is a small room so more suitable for children.

A ranch slider from the lounge leads to a large deck facing out to amazing panoramic views of the Bay and Islands, not to mention those incredible sunsets. This area also has a wind out awning for shade if preferred.

Amidst the open plan layout upstairs is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher and large fridge. There is also an extra fridge nearby and a bait/fish freezer downstairs for your convenience.

Flat screen TV, stereo system, DVD player with some DVD's, 2 kayaks, 5 boogey boards,, cricket set, badminton set, dart board and loads of board games has your in-house entertainment covered.

The sheltered back patio area has a 6 seater table and chairs as does the front deck.

So whether you are fishing, swimming, sunbathing, swaying from the swings, (usually in the trees out front), or simply relaxing on the deck, this magical spot is the place for you.

The bach was perfect for us. It had everything we needed and more. Cosy beds, well equiped kitchen and loads of extras. The location is perfect - right across from the beach and meters from the boat ramp. Thank you for a great long weekend getaway.

The location was perfect. Stunning sunsets. Handy garage set up for easy storing of paddle boards etc. and parking out the front of the house. The location meant we did a lot more swimming, paddleboarding etc. than we would have if we'd had to walk a distance or drive to the beach. It had an ideal set up for a family, with a downstairs bedroom with extra full bathroom - this worked really well for us. Great BBQ. The house is right across the road from the beach. Great swimming beach, safe for all ages.

2 adults and 2 teens. Beautiful spot, great beach, handy to boat ramp. Very comfortable for us 4 with all the amenity’s we’d need. Couple of fridges was very handy. Loads of room to store fishing gear, great bait freezer. Recommend.

Lovely deck overlooking bay and beyond allowed a sense of being Kiwi in the landscape. The swim area water was warm and inviting for all ages and ability. Grassed play area well used for family cricket and other sports. Bach had all the amenities one wanted. All the bay has a road between the houses and beach front and care is needed with crossing road. Great spot and as Cantabrians we would return as we enjoyed our holiday time there. Cheers Fiona

Such an amazing place to stay family. Bach is perfect for a family to stay. Very clean tidy place to stay. Sheets and towels all included and fresh. Plenty of room for the boat out the front. The bay is so safe for the kids and the kayak was so fun for the kids. We had an amazing break away. Plenty of room for storage for fishing gear in the shed. Boat ramp was easy to access and use too. All round great place would recommend it to all.

This property is in a great place. Sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the sun set was outstanding. The rest of the place was a little older than I expected from the photos. The Bed downstairs isn’t very comfortable and at night the floor above squeaks terribly. The pantry doors were very hard to open. We still had a great week here. the extra fees that get charged on top of the rental now is nearly putting book a batch out of reach so made this property a little expensive.

Perfect location in this little bay 5 mins drive out from Cormandel town. Nice safe beach for young children to swim and play. The house is great with a large deck out front and sheltered BBQ spot out back. Be aware that the bottom bedrooms are very tight and can only be accessed from the outside. Would be fine for teenagers but not that suitable for young children without an adult downstairs (also possibly not that suitable for fussy adults expecting more space). I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again!

Great little getaway. Property Manager was communicative and helpful. Sunsets while eating dinner was bliss. Just note you can't really walk anywhere and the Bay is mainly suitable for little kids and families. This did not bother us, it was just a great place to relax after day trips around the Coromandel. Upstairs sleeps 4 (One double and Bunkbeds) and then downstairs sleeps more but can't be accessed internally you have to go outside.
