Excellent weather and accommodations.

Excellent location, friendly staff, clean room daily, and parking onsite. Amenities included, continental breakfast, refrigerator in room, microwave on site as well as access to washer and dryer on site. And, just across the street from the beach.!

Très belle station balnéaire

Emplacement face à la mer et près du centre de cap may. Parking au pied des chambres. Accueil très sympathique et prévenant. Petit déjeuner continental simple mais copieux. Grande salle de bains . Un excellent rapport qualité prix. Pour nous français une expérience vraiment géniale de découvrir cette station balnéaire qui nous a enthousiasmés par sa beauté . Jardins et fleurissement . Et le fait que tous les magasins et restaurants étaient ouverts à cette époque de l’année. La randonnée dans la réserve naturelle en bord d’océan est magnifique

Excellent!!! You won’t be disappointed!!

Location was perfect, our room had wonderful ocean views, we felt comfortable enough to kept our balcony door open at night to hear the ocean waves. Breakfast was good cereal, oatmeal, bagels and donuts. Coffee was good freshly brewed and never worried they would run out..

If I had any con it would have been nice to see more fresh fruit available

The Avondale is a nice, affordable beachfront property.

Extremely nice staff. The room was comfortable and offered a wonderful view of the ocean. The Avondale is within walking distance to the center.

Great Location and very clean

Room was very clean and housekeeping every day. The location was directly across the street to the beach and we could walk to almost everything.

Wonderful Ocean Front location in Cape May

large ocean front room on second floor Only downside? no in room safe that we could find and super inordinately tiny bathroom space while there was more than ample room space. Bit of a head scratcher there...

Won't be booking at Avondale by the Sea any time soon

The views and location are great. The cleaning staff was wonderful.

The room was sparse and amenities were minimum. There weren't even pictures on the wall. Tile floors were cold, we were furnished two shampoos, one hand lotion, no conditioner and two bars of soap over a four day stay. Though a continental breakfast was offered in the lobby, we prefer a coffee maker in the room (not real big on socializing first thing in the morning).

Avondale by the Sea in Cape May is a beautiful place with an amazing oceanview.

The location is perfect...close to the beach and many businesses. The room was the perfect size for two people. It was also clean, cool, and comfortable. Lastly, the oceanview was amazing.

Parking is a little tight and no elevator.

You can easily walk to shops and restaurants

The breakfast was bagels cereal oatmeal some fruit and coffee and orange juice a basic continental breakfast which is a nice test because most places do not offer a free breakfast in Cape May so it was a nice option and I liked having a sitting room and the bedroom both with a TV and they were good size everything was neatly kept up at this hotel even though it’s an older hotel all the people at the front desk area were very friendly. I loved having the screen door and the two chairs outside our room I usually stay at the marquee but I found this much easier staying on the first floor and not dealing with elevators ……there are no elevators in this hotel so the owner was kind enough during the week to confirm the first floor for us Which we really appreciate it

I did miss having a coffee maker and microwave but the price at the hotel was very good and they do have coffee in the lobby in the morning the pipes from the shower next to us make some noise but with the room fan on it’s not bad at all

The hotel was great for the area. It gives you that colonial feeling of Cape May. The property was right across the beach and it was walking distance from all the eateries and bars.

The keys were a little annoying cause it was tough to open and you’d feel like you’d break it at any time. Nothing a little WD-40 can’t fix though so I can’t knock them on that.

Thoroughly enjoyed; most likely to return and suggest to friends.

View was terrific - watched dolphins daily. Avondale's location afforded easy access to all activities

Rooms could use some updating and the breakfast could include protein an less carbs.

Location is great, although breakfast was continental it could have a few more Hot dishes such as pancakes or waffles. The hotel is old but is kept very clean. The only complaint about our room is that the bathroom is very small and only had a small window in the back of the room to open and get fresh air. The staff were very friendly and the housekeepers did a great job.

Great location

It is a wonderful location-across the street from the beach and the restaurants and shops were within walking distance.The facility is very clean and well kept.Each room was comfortable and had a small porch area where we could sit and read.The pool was adequate and the pool attendant was pleasant .The proprietors were very attentive and the housekeeping staff were very accommodating .

It is obviously an older style motel. The furnishings are sparse ,but comfortable .It had everything we needed,but definitely no frills.

Location is great, still rooms near the ocean are costly. The room was very clean and provided everything we needed.

I don't like the rooms above the roof of the entry way. We were on the 2nd floor and I would have preferred another location.

Great four days with hope of returning.

This was a large double room which was very clean. The bed was fabulous, the rocking chairs on the balcony were wonderful, and the continental breakfast was quite satisfying and stocked well.
