Stayed here during our Yellowstone trip. Very nice cabin!
Clean, comfortable and perfect location to base our trip from. Shawn was readily available for our questions. Woke up each morning watching elk graze around the valley and next to the cabin while enjoying coffee from the front porch. Perfect! The town of Gardiner was just 4 miles away for any shopping needed.

The moment we arrived we felt welcomed and comfortable. The owner was readily available and provided all the information we needed. The home was perfect for the four of us. Beautiful views from every window in the home. We had everything we needed to make meals and enjoy evenings by the fire. Shawn has thought about every detail to make your stay comfortable and inviting. The star gazing was spectacular at night. The home is super convenient to the north entrance of Yellowstone. It allowed us to visit the park everyday. The town of Gardiner is also a nice little town to explore. We would definitely stay at Shawn’s again.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfect: very close to Northern YNP entrance as well as Gardiner, which was super convenient for grocery shopping, restaurants, gas station, etc. Shawn was an amazing host and was very helpful providing local recommendations. The cabin was beautiful, and the added bonus was the abundance of elk that were seen around the property! We are already planning to rent this cabin for our future revisit to MT!

It was a nice, clean property but rarely were inside with the large deck and beautiful views! Elk were nearby every morning and night and fun to hear the baby elk calling their mothers. Close to north entrance of park. Very friendly and responsive owners when we had questions. Would stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay!!! Just a few miles from the north entrance of Yellowstone, where we spent our days! We saw hundreds of elk daily just outside the windows, passing by. It was magical!! And horses come right up to the property. My toddler loved the animals so much! Shawn was a great host and available if needed.

Everything about this beautiful cabin is perfect. The location could not be better as is sits atop of a hill where you can see mountains out of every window. It is so close to the entrance to Yellowstone, Gardiner and not to far from Livingston. Everyday we saw the Elk herd from the balcony. It had everything you may need to make your stay comfortable from the bed, full kitchen, cozy blankets to the nice dining and living room furniture. The hosts were kind and welcoming.
We are so grateful we stayed here.

We loved staying here. It was so quiet and pieceful and not far from Yellowstone, where we spent our days. I'll never forget the first morning when we woke up to find the place surrounded by a heard of elk. We just opened all the curtains, made coffee, and sat and enjoyed the view as they picked their way past and had their own breakfast. It was a magical experience for my family. I hope we can come back another time.

My family of 5 stayed at The Overlook” at Little trail creek cabins and it was perfect for us. The cabin was clean, cozy and had amazing views. This cabin had everything we needed and Shawn was so lovely and responsive to us during our stay and leading up to our stay as I had a few questions. Its about 10-15 minutes from the Yellowstone Hot springs which my kids loved after a long day of exploring Yellowstone. It’s also 7 minutes from the town of Gardiner and the North entrance Yellowstone. We spent the mornings on the front porch drinking coffee with amazing Mountain View’s then off to explore Yellowstone National park. We came home in the early evening to eat and relax and it was perfect. Shawn also has items for kids to play with, a trampoline and other items for purchase. If you need ice they have it too! They’ve thought of everything, we will be back and I highly recommend it!

It’s so peaceful! The drive to Yellowstone is only 10 minutes. The elk herd moved through the property every morning & evening too! The owners are very sweet & friendly. Also, the horses & dogs made the stay extra special! Loved it!

Our family really enjoyed our stay! It was the perfect home away from home for our trip. Laundry on site, beautiful gas grill, full kitchen and quality bedding. We loved that they have everything you need for a great day at Yellowstone at your fingertips. Tour guides, bear spray, cooler, zip lock bags, ice, etc. There are plenty of businesses open in Gardiner to shop, grab coffee or dine in on your way into or home from the park. We adore the area and hope to return! The owners are on site very friendly and helpful. Thank you again!

Amazing location, wonderful accommodations and an awesome view
We spent a week in the cabin. The five-minute drive to Yellowstone's north gate made it an ideal location. The town of Gardiner was also a great place to stock up. We're from the city and it can be difficult to find fully-stocked markets in the area, like we're used to. But Gardiner Market was one such place and only a stone's throw away from the cabin. The views from the front porch were picturesque to say the least. It was always worth stopping to take it all in before leaving out in the morning or returning in the evening. We also visited during elk rutting season and the field across the road was full of them for several days. They were also often in the yard of the cabin during the morning hours. When the elk weren't there, the horses that also reside on the property were there to greet us (shout out to Iron Hide!). There's a great little trail that runs behind the property. It was a nice, simple hike to take at the end of the day. While we never saw any bears during our stay, we did see signs of a large predator in the area. The cabin provided bear spray, which was sincerely appreciated. We never ventured away from the cabin on foot without it. The cabin, itself, was perfect for us. We traveled with two dogs and they loved it. There are windows everywhere. The loft bedroom is surrounded with them. At night, we'd open them and the breeze made for excellent sleeping. Any appliances or utensils we needed during our stay, the cabin provided. We were able to make several home-cooked meals. We could not have asked for a better base camp for our trip.

Amazing!
This was absolutely the best place for our family trip to Yellowstone! It exceeded our expectations for the view from the property and of the wildlife. The little extras were very much appreciated, like a well-stocked kitchen, and a bag of beach towels packed for a trip to the nearby hot springs. This host has thought of everything.

Great location for Yellowstone
I’be visited Yellowstone several times. This property is a really great location because you are close to the north entrance. The cabin we stayed in was very nice. It was clean and they had all sorts of personal touches that I appreciated. If you forgot something it was likely they had it there. We got upgraded to a much larger cabin than we needed which was very nice and I’m future years we will utilize this cabin with extended family. They were great with communicating and making sure we were set with our stay. We were able to enjoy some nice hiking inside the park, horseback riding and white water rafting through a place in Gardiner. Definitely recommend this place to stay for your Yellowstone trip.

This is a beautifully done cabin with all the amenities you would need for your stay. The hosts are so friendly and hospitable. You’re staying on a working ranch with wild animals outside your door. What more could you want for an outdoors vacation. Minutes to the N entrance to a Yellowstone but walking outside your door you’ll find the same animals!

This is a beautiful property. The cabin was very clean and private.
I would highly recommend this property. The renters are amazing they answered all the questions we had thoroughly and timely. The location of the cabin is very private with a beautiful view. The cabin itself was clean and homey.

Perfect location immersed in nature
This cabin is set against a mountain backing up to great hiking in a federal forest. We were a little anxious about not having AC, but the owners' advice to close windows and curtains during the day and open at night kept the cabin very comfortable. Elk frequently passed our windows and grazed near the cabin. The smoke alarms went off during the night for no reason, but the owners quickly fixed the issue with new batteries. We'd definitely stay here again.

A Montana Summer’s Night Dream
This was the perfect cabin to enjoy our first time Yellowstone experience. Surrounded by stunning views, it is located outside of Gardiner. The cabin was perfect blend rustic modern and had detailed touches such as plush robes, cooler (which came in handy for picnics) and s supplies. I highly recommend this kind family and their beautiful cabins to make your Yellowstone vacation extra special.
