Midtown stay
We stayed at the apartment for five weeks and loved it!!! It is in the perfect location and way bigger than your average New York apartment.

Gem of an apartment
Loved the spaciousness and convenience of Jamie’s place. She was easy to communicate with and always helpful. The doormen are a real plus and can answer any questions. It is on the fourth floor with lots of windows and light. You do get some traffic noise, but that is to be expected. I do hope to stay there next year!

Cozy apartment in the perfect location
Walking distance to Central Park, Theaters, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and on and on. A secure building with a charming, homey NY apartment. It's mid-town location in the city-that-never-sleeps means your going to see and hear it all -- bring your ear plugs -- but that's just part of the experience. Great hands-on management. 24-hour doorman. Elevator. Wifi. Cable. High ceilings. Surprisingly roomy for a home in such a sought-after locale. It was the perfect place for our family Christmas in New York.

Awesome Location
We couldn’t have asked for a better location for our stay in New York. The apartment had the added benefit of having a lift and door man. Two of the bedrooms were lovely but the third bedroom was a little small for an adult. Jamie was easy to communicate with throughout our stay!

Great Ladies Weekend
We had a wonderful long weekend in NYC staying at Jamie's place. Great location in walking distance to Central Park and theaters. Enough room for the 5 of us- clean and comfortable. So relaxing to have an apartment to return to after busy day seeing the sites.

No water, no toilet, no shower, no help, no refund
We paid a premium for this lovely midtown Manhattan apartment. Our first clue that things wouldn't turn out as we hoped were the signs posted around the lobby and elevator when we arrived saying the water would be turned off the second night we were there. Surely our host had a solution for this problem, we thought.
Nope. When questioned if no water really meant NO WATER (no toilet, etc), she answered, "Omgoodness!?
So sorry. Most likely. Maybe it’s due to the new water mains being put into the street."
And that was it. No solutions to the problem. No offer of a refund so we could go elsewhere. Just too bad, so sad.
Needless to say, I scrambled and found 3 last minute hotel rooms to replace the 3 bedroom apt we had rented. You can imagine the expense this added to our trip.
"Would you reimburse us for half of the cost of what we're paying for one night so we can grab a hotel room ?" I asked. Note - the refund I asked for was 1/3 the cost of renting the hotel rooms for that night.
"Sure. I can’t get to it now but I will call vrbo in the morning."
I'm sure everyone knows exactly what happened next. That was Friday. It's now been over a week and still no refund.
I had four days in NYC. I spent way too many hours finding hotel rooms, moving all of us there, moving all of us back, trying to track down the host. What's especially galling is that she had to have seen those signs herself--she picked up her things AFTER we arrived, and it seems they were up for quite some time before we ever came. To not even give us a heads' up so we could have found somewhere in our budget to stay--that's just mean. I was there for an important work conference. My daughter and her friend were there on a once-in-a-lifetime trip they'd been planning for two years. Even a couple of days' notice would have allowed us to find another equivalent place.
Oh, and here's the real kicker - after I told the host about our problem, as I was waiting for some help in solving it, or at least some kind of refund to help offset the huge extra cost of the hotel rooms, she messaged me, "Btw, pls remind your guests that Renting an apartment on vrbo is not legal in New York , so you are an old “friend “ if anyone asks. Thanks." !!!!
If I'd known the rental was illegal, I would have never booked the place at all! Shame on VRBO and everyone involved.

Perfect location for family stay in midtown
This property was perfect for our family of 5! Our older teenage daughters were busy at all hours at a nearby hotel with a dance competition, and there were no worries with them getting back and forth. In addition, the location was perfect for sightseeing for the rest of the family, with nearby subway and easy walks. Plenty of restaurants nearby as well as access to groceries/markets for easy meals in the apartment as well. Sean the doorman (and other doormen) were friendly and helpful. We are so glad we chose to stay here instead of the nearby hotel where the dance event was located!

Location, location, LOCATION!
This property is the epitome of proximity in Midtown Manhattan. 10-minute walk to Central Park, 10-minute walk to Times Square, 10-minute walk to Rockefeller Plaza, 10-minute walk to the Theater District, 10-minute walk to 5th Avenue...you get the idea. If you're in NYC to hang out in Midtown, this is your home base. The building wears an older charm, and has an elevator. The doorman (Sean) is awesome! The apartment itself is a good size for NYC- high ceilings, oversized living area. Two of the bedrooms are roomy as well, and one is sized for sleeping only. Master bath is nice and has extra room. The secondary bath, while quite small, serves the purpose. The beds are comfy, and they range from just right to firm. Communication with the owner was flawless and all my questions were answered right away. On the 4th floor in a transitioning area, the space is subject to street-level noise, but it's Midtown and to be expected (a white-noise machine at night can help). Many restaurants and shops (market, convenience, souvenirs) are across the street or very nearby. Overall, a lovely place to stay for our few days in the city.

Absolutely the best!
We had the best imaginable stay at this wonderful apartment. There was so much room, it was so comfortable and welcoming especially after a long day sightseeing. The apartment was beautifully furnished and perfectly located - we easily walked to most destinations or to the subway. And it was quiet! I read earlier reviews and brought earplugs for everyone, but they weren't needed. The doorman to the building was so friendly and helpful, and of course the owner, Jaimie, couldn't have been nicer. My next visit to NYC, I won't look anywhere else to stay.

wonderful apartment and amazing location
We had a great time - very comfortable and spacious place. The doormen downstairs were friendly and helpful. Jamie, the owner, is very nice and made us feel at home. The best part really is the location - close to everything you want in mid-town. I highly recommend it. We'd definitely come back next time we visit.

Wonderful apartment in the middle of everything
Our family of five spent New Year's week 2019 in this wonderful apartment. Centrally located with good security. Apartment was clean, well stocked and convenient with grocery stores and NYC's top attractions nearby. Owner responsive and easy to speak with. Rooms and beds comfortable. Highly recommend. Looking forward to our next stay.

Outstanding Big Apple Experience
What a superb apartment for a family vacation in the absolute heart of midtown Manhattan. Mixing the warmth of a family home with the sights and sounds of New York, we couldn’t have asked for more.
Jamie is a fabulous host, incredibly prompt with answers to any queries, providing us with useful local information, and even decorating the apartment and erecting a stunning Christmas tree for us. Look no further than here if you want the best of NYC; thanks Jamie.

Great location!
Cannot choose a better location in NYC. Pretend like you're a real New Yorker and stay in a real NYC apartment instead of a hotel. 24 hour doorman and easy access to elevator and unit makes this the best choice.

Perfect Location, and very spacious!
This apartment was everything we could have asked for in NYC! The location is unbeatable - all the major things we wanted to see and do were a ten minute walk at most... Times Square, Central Park, Rockefeller Center and tons of Broadway shows! The apartment itself was much more spacious than I was expecting in NYC, there were 6 in our group including 2 young kids and we all had plenty of room to relax between activities. The cupboards were stocked with dishes so we just hit the grocery store nearby for most of our breakfast/lunch items and saved a ton of $$ that would have been spent eating out 3x/day! Jamie was great to deal with, very friendly and quick to respond. We would definitely stay again!
