The Wintergreen Retreat is a vacation rental home within the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia in the prestigious Devil's Knob Loop area. This modern meets rustic elegant mountain getaway is just a few hundred yards from gorgeous scenic overlooks. The house comfortably sleeps 10 - 12 in 4 bedrooms and 3 full baths. Luxury furnishings throughout and a thoughtful home layout for family entertainment.

Wintergreen Retreat is equipped with a whole-house germicidal UVC air purification and cleansing system. We have also worked closely with our housekeeping team to update our already high cleaning standards and have implemented an enhanced cleaning and disinfecting program.

Kitchen and Dining area - A chefs delight: Luxury Kitchenaid and Wolf appliances and accessories. Honed Granite countertops and large dining table with chairs for 8 and 4 additional stools at kitchen island.

Very well furnished home with easy access to the Blue Ridge Highway for hiking, breweries, and wineries! Upscale furnishings. The grandchildren loved the giant TV and we all enjoyed playing pool!

We just stayed at the Wintergreen Retreat and can't say enough good things about the cabin, location and host! The cabin was beautiful inside and out, and perfectly described per VRBO. It is located within easy distance to many of Wintergreen's amazing outdoor attractions - we especially enjoyed Lake Monacan and the Shamokin Falls hiking trail. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay in Wintergreen, you definitely won't be disappointed staying here!

Our family had such a lovely time in this beautiful mountain home last Easter that we returned again this year. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing a meal. The beds are comfortable and the large windows fill the space with natural light. We enjoyed nearby hiking, wineries and restaurants. The kids were able to get homework done with the workstation setup and reliable internet. Plenty of games and activities right a the house. Everything was wonderful!

My sister and I did our first family joint holiday together in the well-appointed home. The pool table and Wii were hits with younger crowd in the basement, while the adults gathered in the great room kitchen to eat and chat with the fire crackling in the background. The kitchen had everything we needed for making our meals. We also appreciated the clearly marked house number next to the road by the driveway. It was so foggy when we arrived that you couldn’t see anything!! We were so relieved to see the house number! This is a great holiday house!!

We had 9 people in this house, half of whom never ssaw snow before. Wintergreen is an amazingly cute, small resort that was still decorated for Christmas, had no lines on ski lifts, no issues with renting equipment and no issues with getting lessons for those learning to ski or snowboard. This house was located in a great spot, literally one minute drive to ski area. They provided salt and tools for us to de-ice the driveway during the sleet storm that came on our last day and the property manager let us know about the coming storm. The resort community did a great job of keeping the roads clear as well.

It was an absolute pleasure staying in this quiet house for the weekend. It was extremely well-stocked, well-maintained, and spotless. Staying at this house was easy - everything was organized and ready for guests. It felt like home - the owners have done a tremendous job ensuring that guests are comfortable. My kids enjoyed playing videos games downstairs in the evenings while we watched movies on the cozy main floor. It was the perfect way to unwind after a busy few days. If we need to stay in Wintergreen again for a long weekend, we would absolutely choose this house. Thank you for sharing your home - it was lovely!

This house is amazing! My friends and I came from Charleston, SC for some cool weather fun. The house is so beautiful and so comfortable. Everything we could possibly have needed was there. Beds were great and the kitchen - the only thing lacking in that kitchen was a chef to cook for us lol! Can’t wait to come back!!

Wow! Just an amazing ten day stay at the Wintergreen Retreat. The home was amazing and the resort has incredible facilities and is on the doorstep of Shenandoah National Park. We barely got to discover all of the treasures but did get to hike on the resort property and in Shenandoah, kayak, swim, go peach picking and so much more. The house is beyond belief, so comfortable, roomy, well appointed with everything one could need. Definitely on our list to return, hopefully soon!

It's no wonder why all the 5 star reviews of this wonderful property. The photos do not do justice to this property as the place is simply perfect for a family gathering. The house is extremely well built given that we had 50 + mph winds (not a typo) for the first 24-36 hours of our stay. We simply hunkered down, cooked up some great chili on the state of the art WOLF stove/oven and awaited the arrival of our daughter and her family (along with a glass or two of wine). Once the winds settled down and the fog lifted, we were treated to some amazing vistas and spectacular sunsets. Our daughter, daughter-in-law, and grandson claimed the downstairs as home base throughout the stay. It was perfect for them (and us) since we claimed the master bedroom as our home base as well. With the main floor between us, the sounds of silence at hour of sleep were greatly appreciated. The property owner, Nathaniel, was great to work and answered any questions within an hour of posting. He and his wife have made this place one helluva luxury rental with everything top shelf. From the aforementioned WOLF oven/stove, and so many Williams-Sonoma kitchen tools, Le Creuset Dutch Oven, Le Creuset kitchenware (plates, coffee mugs, butter dish, cereal / chili bowls), it's no surprise as to the many repeat families who rent this place year after year. Of which, we are already planning our 2024 visit at Wintergreen Retreat. Thanks for the memories, Nathaniel!

This was our second time staying at the property. Pictures well represent the home. The home is well stocked with high end furniture kitchen appliances including dishes. Would love to see a crockpot. Great for 4 teenagers even though skiing was terrible this year. They enjoyed the pool passes, movies and pool table. It is a great weekend getaway.

Our company leadership team meets every December, often in the Wintergreen Resort. Not only beautiful and nicely decorated, this was by far the best appointed rental we have stayed in. The kitchen especially had everything you could possibly need and then some. We enjoyed a very pleasant stay gathered around the fire in the great room.
