Second floor walk up condo. Ben is very responsive to all queries. Location very accessible by frequent buses to Vail transportation center, 25 minute ride.
Housekeeping did a poor job in preparing the site. No linens were provided for the living room hide a bed. Had to sleep the first night without sheets to cover the mattress. Paper products were lacking and needed to furnish our own upon check in. Sheets were provided the following day. Extra linens and paper products were delivered around the 8th day of our stay. The pull out mattress is missing springs to hold the mattress onto the frame, thereby not functional for 2 people to sleep.
Regulations of the facility disallows use of the hot tub and pool, which Ben clearly informs prospective renters.
Overall the location and affordable price lent for a reasonable stay.

My husband and I stayed in this 1 bedroom apartment, so it was just right for us. The location was good: close to our son’s home, also close to skiing for those enthusiasts. Ben responded quickly to each question or concern that we had.

Spacious, well appointed condo. Perfect location for all of your Colorado mountain adventures. Benjamin was a great host and quick to respond. I would definitely stay again.

Staying in East Vail
We were very pleased with the accommodations in East Vail. It is located just steps away from the bus line which takes you everywhere you need to go in the Vail area. The property was clean, easy to access and the owner was very responsive to any questions that we had during our stay. We definitely recommend this owner and property for future visits to the Vail area.

Cozy and Practical
We really enjoyed our stay at the Vail Racquet Club. The condo was clean and well equipped. The only drawback was the fee we had to pay to use the pool.

Convenient location. Not much direct sun here but easy to get to other places in Vail area on free transportation shuttle buses. Condo a bit dated especially the mattress but we were happy with kitchen amenities. Maybe some body soap dispensers in the future?

The Racquet Club is "my happy Place"
The Racquet Club is a unique property where you can do anything, or nothing at all. The setting on the creek is amazingly tranquil, and yet just a few minutes away from Vail. It truly is my favorite place to vacation

A good value for the area. Love the free transportation to other parts of the valley!

Had all the basics plus humidifier!
Ben, one item. Patio door stuck in locked position but was not inconvenient since temp was in the teens-20s.

Brother and I stayed this past weekend. Worked out great for what we needed. Close to the East Vail bus stop to get into town. Bathroom is a little tight (I'm 6'2") and the condo would be cozy for four, but other than that, I do not have any major complaints. I would stay again. Most of the other reviews are accurate as well.

What we liked: very responsive owner; very reasonable price; quiet; well equipped kitchen; convenient bus to Vail
What could be improved: mattress on pull out couch needs to be replaced; size of unit is fine for 2 but would be tight for 4 unless 2 are children; kitchen sink location a bit awkward.

We (two adults) spent five nights in Ben's condo at the Vail Racquet Club in East Vail. Having already been to Vail a few times, we knew we wanted to stay in East Vail, near the town bus. The unit was easily walkable to the bus stop carrying skis and wearing our boots - perfect! Condo was clean and the kitchen was stocked with all of the necessary pots, pans, dishes, spices, and cooking oil. W We even did a load of laundry as there is a washer and dryer in the building. I felt like I was in college again, lugging all of those quarters to the laundry room (we were able to change our dollars for quarters at the Racquet Club desk). e had some confusion about toilet tissue, but Ben was extremely responsive and had housekeeping leave us a few extra rolls that they forgot to stock. Overall, we had a great stay and Ben got our security deposit back in just a few days after our return. We'd love to stay again on our next trip to Vail!

We stayed here over the New Years Eve holiday and had a nice time. The condo looks exactly like the pictures and was a great value for Vail. We knew not to expect high luxury at the Racquet Club, but I have identified a few pros and cons, tips and opportunities for improvement.
Pros:
- Great location within Racquet Club. Short walk to bus stop, club house and restaurant.
- Good cable TV selection with On Demand options
- Beautiful view of the creek from the balcony
- Good value for Vail
- Kitchen stocked with all pots/pans/spices you need
Cons:
- Housekeeping didn't replace the coffee so we had to buy a bag at the Starbucks near the lift
- Bedroom window faces the hallway so be prepared for the sound of ski boots clanking early in the AM if you like to sleep in
- Cable TV in the bedroom didn't work
- If you're really tall or even clumsy this might not be the place for you. Furniture is large and cramped together. I think I ran into the bed frame and or dresser every night trying to crawl into bed in the dark while my s/o was sleeping. Would not recommend having more than two people in this space.
- Bathroom was really small - again, be careful if you're clumsy. You'll end up with all kinds of bruises.
Tips:
- Shampoo, soap and conditioner are located above the toilet in the medicine cabinet.
- Go to Blu's and sit at the bar. Bill the bartender is great!
- Firewood is not provided
- There was not a takeout menu or any delivery options in the room, but I found a magazine detailing all of the food delivery in the club house. Would have been handy when we ran out of groceries and Blu's was closed.
- We were charged $10 per person to use the hot tub, but I think it's because we asked. If you just walk in like you own the place and go down to the locker room I don't think anyone would care to stop you.
- Some DVDs or games would have been nice for when we couldn't find a movie on TV
*I'd like to also note that we had a small issue with housekeeping. When we arrived, the unit had not been cleaned since the previous guest. The owner was quick to respond to our messages and put us up in a Racquet Club-owned room for the evening. We were pleased with the resolution and how he handled it. A bottle of wine or note from the housekeeper would have been nice after having to move our luggage twice and be displaced for the night. Just a suggestion for if it happens again.

Not the fanciest place in Vail, but conveniently located, has all the required amenities/ equipment and a responsive owner. Definitely recommended.

Wish I could have loved this place
I vacationed here for a solo ski trip. It was my first time in Vail, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Lodging in Vail is very expensive, so I will say that the price was right on this unit.
The unit is perfect for 1-2 people, but anything more, and I'd say you're going to be cramped.
It has a fully stocked kitchen, including olive oil and spices. Good wifi, comfortable queen-sized bed, and cable television in the bedroom and living room. (To watch tv in the bedroom, you need to leave the cable box in the LR on.)
There are no instructions in the condo itself on how things work (turning on the television, clubhouse location, pool towels, where to grab the shuttle bus, etc), so that was a bit frustrating.
The unit is on the second floor, and I didn't see any elevators, so if you're carrying luggage/ski equipment, get ready for a little huffing and puffing. The bathroom in the unit (shower and toilet area) are not renovated and small. It's a shower/tub combo, and the door leading into it is a bit clunky as it bumps up against a towel rack. No heat lamp, which I am sort of used to when I'm in Colorado. The vanity/sink area is renovated and it's a decent size. You'll find a hair dryer and other people's left over shampoos/conditioners, etc.
The unit has a wood-burning fireplace. You have to pay for your own wood, which is sort of a bummer and something I didn't realize when I reserved the unit. I paid $12 for a bundle to be delivered from the front desk, so it wasn't expensive. I just wish it would have been included in the price of the rental. Also, I'm a girl from Miami...we don't have wood-burning fireplaces here and I ultimately didn't know how to get a fire going. If a fireplace is really important to you (as it is to me), you'll need to keep that in mind.
Pool and Hot Tub
You have to pay a per person/per day fee of $10 to use the pool/hot tub.
The pool and hot tub areas are nice. Two big hot tubs that each can hold about 20 people. Full gym and nice locker rooms. But they're a little bit of a walk from the condo--about 100 yards away. You have to cross one parking lot row, and walk down the backside of the club house. And in the dead of winter, let's just say it's an exhilarating walk. :-)

excellent stay!
Ben's condo was just as described. His response time is superb and was a pleasure to work with. We had a wonderful stay over the holidays and could not have been happier. The condo was clean and comfortable. Ben's place is also very quiet and serene. The fireplace was a highlight after some chilly skiing days. We would surely love to stay again!
