We have just returned from a wonderful week at Casa Diamante. The spacious house was perfect for our extended family of 10. It was clean and well furnished. The housekeeper and grounds keeper were great. Alex our concierge was really great. He was always available helping us set up excursions, shuttles, taxis, dinner reservations, etc. The house is in a good location, but it is on a very steep hill, so we would take a shuttle or taxi to various sites. The house has a great view, and we saw macaws, toucans, monkeys, iguanas, and sloths.

Everyone had their own space + plenty of common space. we had teens and elementary age kids, early morning people and late night people. it all worked. we saw sloths in the backyard and walked to the beach. it was a wonderful Costa Rica adventure.

Perfect place to stay in Manuel Antonio!
Walking distance to numerous restaurants and beaches! And an amazing view of Manuel Antonio National Park.
All staff made us feel at home and welcome and were a huge help with any questions we had.
We loved swimming in the pool every day!
Everything was clean and just like the pictures.

We were 14 family members ages 3 to 77 for a week after Christmas. The highlights are the pool and the 3rd floor deck and living room with a gorgeous view of the ocean and forest. Watching the wildlife was fantastic: caracaras came to sit on the railing, toucans and macaws regularly flew by and perched in nearby trees, and howler, capuchino, and squirrel monkeys would come to investigate. The house is huge with plenty of bedrooms and space for everyone to spread out - although we usually congregated around the pool or the large 3rd floor deck and living room. The housekeeper cleaned daily and the groundskeeper kept the pool and outdoor grill pristine. Communication with the manager was fantastic - he arranged a cook for several meals and kayak, zipline, and rafting tours and was available on short notice for questions. For example, the icemaker stopped working and he had two bags of ice delivered very quickly. There were plenty of good quality eating utensils, cups, and glasses in both the 3rd floor kitchen and in the outdoor kitchen by the pool, but - to be picky - the cooking facilities on the upper level could be upgraded for serious foodies. There are plenty of beds including 4 kings, but two small rooms have double beds that -if you have a large group like ours - may not seem as attractive as the king rooms. But, in the end, everyone was happy with their sleeping arrangements. Overall, it was a terrific, no-worry week.

We had an amazing trip! We were told that there was a change of ownership and the switch over was seamless! The nature around the house was mind boggling and the house was convenient to everything. Thanks so much for answering all of my questions and the responses were sent immediately.

1. One of the bathrooms had a nonfunctioning toilet. It was obvious it had been leaking for quite a while (there was significant water damage on the floor). Management promised to send a handyman but it was never fixed.
2. The WiFi did not work at any point. We contacted the property manager several times and were given a different explanation/story each time. Again, never fixed. 3. The listing says there is a washer and dryer. Our group was counting on having access to this but were told the machines were for the sole use of housekeeping staff. We would not have booked the property if we had known this.
4. The bottom of the balcony pool had many missing tiles and they were constantly breaking off.
5. Top floor full-length windows were not bolted in and in fact there was a 6-inch gap in the wall when we arrived as the window was not in its proper placement. Very concerning, both for security reasons as well as personal safety.
6. Overall extremely rundown condition.
7. Property manager did not respond promptly and did not keep any promises.
We contacted the property manager several times a day about all of these issues but nothing was ever resolved. We have since been told that the property was sold *during* our stay and due to this gray area neither the previous owner/property manager, the current owner/property manager, or VRBO is willing to accept any responsibility thus far. Stay far away.

Overall a great week in Manuel Antonio. The house was as described and would recommend. I thought the best thing to do was answer some of the questions I had.
1) The walk to the beach is 10-15 minutes down a very steep road. Small children or older adults would struggle with this walk.
2) The beach at the bottom of the road is really long and has several bars, stores, hotels on it. There are plenty of places to have a private beach feel and other places that are more public feeling. The water here can be very rough and there is a rip current at times.
3) The walk to restaurants is very doable up a steep hill, but you have to be comfortable walking on a road with no sidewalk. Drivers are generally on the lookout but there are blind turns.
4) Make sure you research the layout of the house. As mentioned, it is separate units that are all connected via courtyards and outside stairs. It worked well for us with 3 families but the experience would be interesting if you were there with strangers. The views on the top floor are the best and the kitchen up there is the only fully equiped one.
5) Chris the property manager is super nice and did a great job with the surf lessons for the kids, I highly recommend this. He also arranged for a chef for certain nights and mornings for us and that was great.
6) There are housekeepers there every day so it was very clean.
7) You don't need a car and taxis are readily available and not that expensive in the Quepos area.

This property is great for a large group or multiple families looking for individual spaces while staying together. The view from the upper floors is beautiful and the location is great - wishing walking distance to everything!

While the property looks great on VRBO, it's even better in person! We were able to walk to beaches, restaurants, and grocery stores (although the house is on a hill, so it's rather strenuous). It could not have been more convenient. And the view! It's what I miss most! Lastly, Chris, the property manager made great recommendations and helped with every inquiry within minutes! I will stay here again if I make it back to Costa Rica!

We booked Casa Diamante to house our family of 10 during our wedding weekend and the property was perfect. The different suite types matched exactly what we were looking for, with the Toucan apartment being a perfect fit for my cousin's family of 4 with 2 kids, the Iguana suites working well for elderly parents who can't take stairs, and the penthouse being a great area to gather for breakfast, which Chris helped us book.
Our family was pleased with the stay and the kids enjoyed how large the pool was. Chris was not there to physically check us in and the bedroom door to the master suite was locked so we had to hunt down one of the staff members, but it was resolved relatively quickly.
We were very thankful to have access to Casa Diamante for our wedding weekend as it allowed our full family to stay about 5 minutes away from our villa property.

The first thing that I want to say is that Chris, the concierge is excellent- we felt like we had the best guide in Costa Rica. He is very good at communication and execution of plans, and he is even better at doing tours. We did a thermal pool tour and a waterfall tour , and both were gorgeous, informative, intimate and sweet. He personifies "pura vida" in his genuine excitement for sharing his country and its natural wonders. I feel very fortunate to have spent several days with Chris as our guide.
This house is amazing, and while I have a few minor complaints, overall it was almost perfect. The pools is really lovely- very clean, good size, perfect temperature. As a swimmer, it was a 10. The main living room is gorgeous, as is the main bedroom on that floor. The dining area and deck on that floor are also great. We had 11 people there and felt very comfortable. The one complaint is that the kitchen is not set up very well for real cooking. The pots and pans are small and cheap teflon- it made cooking difficult. This is not unusual for a VRBO, but it kept the overall experience from being a 10.
The remainder of the living spaces were fine- not super special, but very nice. Several of the baths were pretty spectacular. A sign on the deck stating a 500 lb limit was a bit unnerving, sice you are 40 feet from the ground, but we assume it was a liability thing, not a real problem.
The location of the house is pretty perfect, and one could do without a car there, if you are healthy and can walk up the steep hill to the store, and downhill to the beach.
The maid service was also excellent.
Overall I can heartily recommend, Casa Diamante!

This house is in a beautiful location with a beautiful view and pool. The maid service was outstanding. The groceries we ordered ahead were there when we arrived. However we had so many other issues. There were many maintenance issues and the repair person was there everyday addressing them. Broken out window in a downstairs bathroom, lights that didn't work , locks that did not work, toliet that did not flush, not enough dishes or silverware for amount of people that they advertise for. Whirlpool did not work in the small pool. No wine glasses at all. The room safe was not even bolted down just sitting on the shelf and would not close or open. We were told we would have a security guard every night - There was no security guard ever! Chris the manager was sick so there was no one there to open the house and greet us and show us around the house when we arrived after dark. Luckily the wonderful Chef we hired was there preparing our dinner so the house was open and there was a house key. We had to call and ask someone to come show us how to get in and out of the home and how to turn everything on. I really have to give this house very mixed reviews. We had a great time in Costa Rica but would not stay at this property again due to all the issues we had.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location
An incredible location with a beautiful view, perfect for a large group of friends or multiple families. Accessible to all the adventures Quepos has to offer. A few minor things — house has some wear and tear, some small kitchen basics are missing, and water pressure/heat in showers is not great, but otherwise this house is amazing!

Need better directions to get there
Really nice property that worked for our group of nine
Getting there after dark was difficult with directions from the manager being offa little. The google map location works well but there is no board outside saying you are there so if you overshoot, a challenging drive beyond.
The water pressure and hot water were a problem in many bathrooms
Overall the location was good. The chef cooked meal was superb

Huge House in Great Area
I spent a week at this house with family and it was perfect for a large group. The layout gives everyone plenty of privacy, but it also has enough large living spaces where we could all gather for dinner and activities. The house was immaculately clean and the cleaning team did such a good job every single day. There are a few minor things that need updating (the coffee makers were not working properly and a few faucets leaked) but overall the property is beautiful and taken care of. The real stand out is Chris, the concierge. He answered all of our questions really quickly and booked an excursion for us, as well as organized someone to come to the house to Covid test everyone before we flew back to the US. He was amazing and made everything so easy! I'd definitely recommend this house and stay here again if in the area.

Amazing Home and monkeys everywhere
This house is fabulous! Lots of space to enjoy if you are willing to look past the needs for a few updated bathrooms. Tons of space for multiple families to spread out and the pool area was perfect! Would definitely recommend for a large group!

Great house in a fantastic location.
Though there was an initial hiccup with the cleaning service schedule, the managers of this property more than made up for our inconvenience and we very much enjoyed our stay. The place is perfect for groups who would also enjoy a bit of space. We were two couples and two singles (all friends) traveling together and it was nice to be able to spread out, but also get together for meals or by the pool. The views from the various decks are fantastic and we enjoyed watching the monkeys and birds from the comfort of home.

The view and wildlife
We loved our stay. The home is great. Not brand new, could use some updates but it is all about the view and the wildlife. We saw all types of Monkeys, sloths, toucans all from the property. The view from the top deck is amazing. The pool was great and refreshing. We spent a lot of time in the pool area. Short drive to the beach and multiple food options. Cleaning crew did a great job every day. Hope to return again someday.

What a fantastic house, location, communication & experience
From the moment we arrived Chris went out of his way to make sure all the amenities and needs of me and my guests were met.
We had Chris cook for all of us one night and we were amazed with his ability to entertain and fill our stomachs with wonderful food. We were entertained nightly by three species of monkeys. Scarlet macaw's & Tucan's nesteled in the trees right by the house. Amazing view sunrises everyday from the upper decks!
The house lends itself to gathering and privacy at the same time, although we utilized 6 of the seven rooms, at times it seemed like I was the only one in the house. 6 out of 5 stars I will indeed return to Casa Diamante.
Thanks Jennifer !!!!!

Beautiful home for our family of 12.
The house is very large with bedrooms and beds for all of our family of 12, from grandparents to children. (The 9 year old said she wanted to come back to this very house next year.). The pool, the view of the ocean, and the many plants and wildlife we could see from the house made this home simply delightful!

Beautiful Home Away From Home!
Casa Diamante was the perfect rental for our family. The house is clean and cozy with beautiful ocean and jungle views. It is conveniently located near the beach, restaurants, the national park, and other attractions! The owner, Jennifer, is a sweetheart and communicates well! Chris, the property manager, greeted us upon arrival and helped us settle in for the week. We are returning to Costa Rica soon and plan on staying here again!

Great location and service from Chris and his team
The location of this property coupled with the amazing service by Chris and his team made our trip!!!. Chris is warm, kind and has great folks to work with. And his connections that took care of all of our needs! Chris and his team are amazing! The hoise is within walking distance to the beach and restaurant. However roads are narrow and steep hills so we often took a cab. We saw three kinds of monkeys from the house! The pool, out door entertainment area and main level were perfect for our group and entertainment. We hired the chef for one night and dinner was the best we had in all of Costa Rica. The home is older and in need of repairs. Chris and the owner worked with us to remedy. Over alll great place to stay!

Perfect choice for our family
Casa Diamante is a beautiful house perfectly located close enough to the beach and to the town of Manuel Antonio that we could walk to both. Our group of 9 had more than enough space. Also, it was so nice to have two wonderful cleaning ladies come every day. Having someone do the dishes and tidy up gave us more time to enjoy this beautiful country.
Chris was very helpful in making arrangements for our excursions. He clearly loves his country and is super knowledgeable about agriculture, ecology, and horticulture. We knew we'd love Costa Rica no matter where we stayed but Chris and Casa Diamante made it feel like home. I hope someday we are lucky enough to return. Pura Vida!

COSTA RICA CHRISTMAS
Great Christmas vacation. Chris (property manager) was very good in communicating and arranged several excursions with great local outfitters. We were only a family of 4 and really, this house was much bigger than we needed, but we really enjoyed our stay there. Great pool and the monkeys would come and visit in the afternoon. Giovianni (night watchman) would place out some fruit and it was amazing to see them interact. There's several great restaurants up and down the hill and a local supermarket for essentials. Beach is a short (but steep) walk down the hill. Casa Diamante is a terrific spot, yet still remote enough to feel private. Highly recommended!

Beautiful views
The house had very beautiful views and lots of space for big groups . They come to clean everyday which was great. There is a guard to make you feel much safer at night. Everything is a bit outdated. Could definitely use some work and new kitchen supplies.

Great place for large groups
The house is beautiful and a great option for groups of people who want to share spaces and have some privacy at the same time. The location is great, awesome view.
Giovanni, the night shift security guard is an awesome person. He made us feel very safe and was very polite and friendly.

Great place in Costa Rica
We had ten people stay at Casa Diamante. We all had great time. The pool was great, we were greeted warmly by Chris and his colleague and helped with our baggage to our rooms. Chris helped us arrange a number of outings, that we enjoyed, including the waterfalls of Los Campasinos and zip lining. We had a great dinner in house for my brother's birthday. There were a few things that needed fixed. The AC in one of the rooms dripped water. The repair man made few attempts to fix it, but it recurred. The bathroom in the lowest bedroom needs some work. The toilet was broken and the window could use a screen to prevent bugs from getting in. The penthouse bedroom AC was noisy and one of the balcony doors was sticking, so it was difficult to open. Pool was great though and so was the supplies and complete utensils in the kitchen.

Great spot for more than one family
We loved this property. We were two families with 3 children each and a nanny and the space couldn’t have been any better. We could get together at the pool or on the 4th floor living area/kitchen when we wanted, but when the kids got crabby we could retreat to our separate spaces.
We saw so much wildlife by the pool we actually found ourselves wishing we hadn’t spent so much time walking through the park. Monkeys visited daily and a sloth stayed in one of the trees for a few days.
We would go to the beach in the morning and once it got too hot to be in the sun any longer we would retreat back to the house where the kids could swim since the pool was shaded after about 2pm.
Awesome property!!
