Very nice place to spend a week. Plenty of room a to spread out. Nice. Deck and yard . The dock was a short walk.

A once stunning lake cabin you can tell the owners have put a lot of love into it. It’s unfortunate the upkeep is nonexistent as this could have been a perfect family getaway spot to return to.
Pros:
-close to the beach
-fun set up geared towards families
-bedroom and bathroom on the main floor is perfect for anyone who has a hard time with stairs.
- 3 bedrooms, bathroom and living room upstairs
-our kids loved the themed rooms and all the stuffed animals
-lots of games to play and toys for the kids
-large yard to run around in
-fire pit
Cons:
-communication: it was very challenging to get a hold of anyone with the property. While we understand the owners were dealing with other issues they did not follow up on our calls until usually a day after our call/messages, nor check in to see if the issues were resolved.
-It was filthy. Mouse droppings were found in the upstairs bathroom, the kitchen cabinets and on the last day on the counter. Shower curtain was so moldy we replaced it and there was an anti-slip bathmat that was also moldy. We needed to clean the tub before we could bathe our kids. The curtains & rugs were in need of a deep clean, white socks became almost black by the end of the day. Previous renters/owners had used masks left hanging on the coathooks.
-trash: since we were a family of 6 we filled the garbage can quickly. Attempts to resolve this failed: after being instructed to put the trash outdoors (they would be picked up that day), I discovered raccoons had shredded the bags and I ended up cleaning up that mess the next morning. No further follow up/trash resolution came from the owners after repeated attempts to message them. We ended up having to pile the garbage up in the living room for the remainder of our stay.
-Upkeep: unfortunately while you can tell the cabin is/was loved there has been no upkeep. Holes in the walls from door handles; moldy basement made enjoying the pool table difficult and the smell even came into the living room.
-one of the queen beds was broken(slanted) leading my wife to sleep on the couch the entire trip and me to sleeping with one of my kids after the second night.

The kids ages 3 and 5 enjoyed the dock and the lake. It was not overwhelming. Adults could walk out pretty far without going under. The shed there provided all we needed and we only carried food and beverage. The boys had kids fishing poles and had one day where everything was biting. Quiet area. The rain kept us from the fire pit The surprising TV room on second floor was very comfortable. I’d go there again.

The house is excellent and served us well. However the location as indicated by VRBO was not accurate. We like to be able to walk or bicycle but the house was 2.5 miles south of Bolton Landing village and Route 9L is not inviting for walking or biking. Also, the beach the association uses is fine for boating and picnicking but not for swimming. We also had very rainy, humid weather which did not help

Great place ideally located for access to everything. I highly recommend it.

Basement was unusable due to mold. A/C in twin bed room has black mold growing in it and the deck stairs need lighting on them. The kitchen chairs all need to be tightened.. There were ants in the bathroom and kitchen. The book with renters information should be separate from guest book. Didn’t find info until last day.
We had a wonderful vacation and enjoyed our family time.

Many of this homes features weren't expected, making the check in process more exciting. The upstairs is beautiful with a great family area. The backyard was perfect for our lawn games and a fire at night. The pool table in the basement was a key highlight for our family and made us realize we could never rent a house without one again. There was a slight mold issue/scent in the basement but we were able to use and refill the dehumidifier. Everything about the home and property went above and beyond expectations.

Everything as listed, a little far from beach. House was very good.

We truly consider this house our home away from home for our annual summer week-long visits to the Lake George region. It is comfortable, clean, well equipped, and conveniently located between Lake George Village and Bolton Landing. It has the perfect layout for our multigenerational family of eight and lots of attractions near by to keep us busy rain or shine.
