About this house rental
This contemporary home is located in Bolton Landing, on quiet and secluded Homer Point. , Homer Point is slightly south of Bolton with its quaint shops and eateries, and only 10 minutes north of the Lake George Village. The home is situated on the west side of Lake George. Facing the Three Brothers Islands, the property has an outstanding view of the islands, the lake, Buck Mountain to the east and Shelving Rock to the Northeast. The Narrows and Glen Island ranger station are just minutes away by boat.
88 Homer is pleasingly situated on 1.1 private acres with plenty of parking. The main floor includes a half bath and laundry room, master bedroom with a king bed and en suite bathroom plus a second full bath accessible from the lake side deck. The kitchen includes a second fridge and prep-area for packing up your picnic lunch, great room with skylight, fireplace, a flat screen TV, and decks leading to the screened-in porch.
The second floor hallway is open to the great room, and leads to a full bath, two bedrooms with queen and twin beds and an attached study with bunk beds for two. A deck off of the study leads to a second story deck above the screened porch. The house sleeps 10 and is well stocked with towels, sheets, and bedding. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and eating in, with dishes, utensils, pots/pans and appliances. The home is serviced by high speed internet (WiFi) and cable TV. A gas grill is available on the lower deck.
The pathway from the house to the lake leads to the boathouse that provides docking for 2-3 boats outside, and two spaces inside the boat house. Water depth at the dock is 6+ feet. The dock areas around the boat house are large and well suited to swimming, lounging and sunning. Ladders are available for entering and exiting the lake. Adjacent the boathouse is a single stake dock for additional boats and more swimming and fishing! A fire pit near the water’s edge is nicely surrounded by Adirondack chairs.
Winter time brings plenty of activity too. Gore Mountain ski area (vertical drop 2,536 ft) has a Gondola and chairlifts, and is only 26 miles from the house. West Mountain has chairlifts, it's a bit smaller (vertical drop of 1,010 feet) but only 10 miles from Homer Point. The famous Sagamore Hotel is open on weekends throughout the winter, and offers extended hours on select holidays. Fredericks restaurent in Bolton is open year-round, as it Tops Market and the Price Chopper supermarket in Warrensburgh. Price Chopper, Aldi's Market, and Hannaford's Market are all open in Glen's Falls, 20 minutes away.

Another wonderful stay. This is our 3rd time staying at the house and are planning to come back next year. Perfect location on the lake. Roomy house with all amenities. Couldn’t ask for better!

It was our first time staying in Bolton Landing and we loved it. The house is located on a quiet street and just a few minutes to Bolton. The house is very well kept with a great amount of space. We would definitely stay here again!

The property is located perfectly on the lake and fully equipped for a beautiful relaxation for young and old rain or shine. We did have a couple of minor issues that were brought to the attention of the owners (Michel and Susan) who responded immediately to resolve the matter.

We stayed for a weekend and had an amazing time. The house was clean and well stocked, and the property was beautiful. The owner was very easy to work with and they made our stay incredibly stress free.

This was the second time we stayed at this home. The owners are very nice and helpful. The location is great, we love the ability to dock our boat in the covered dock area. The home is clean and spacious. We greatly enjoyed a long weekend with family here.

Starting the day with a cup of tea on the deck watching the sun rise and ending it making s’mores at the fire ring with our grandchildren by the lake was wonderful. We had a beautiful stay. Early for swimming- although we took a quick dip off the dock- the yard is perfect for a game of whiffle ball and the quieter members of our group liked just sitting on the top deck watching the boats. The location is 20 min from Lake George Village while being tucked away from the traffic. Amazing memories made.

Our family stayed at this beautiful lakeside home in Bolton- the house was big and lovely.. everything about it was great- the kids fished off the docks and we had a great time making S’Mores at the fire pit by the lake. It is just a few minutes from Bolton Landing and we loved that little town! We couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts- they patiently answered all of my questions and responded very quickly. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

The other downside was we could not bring our dog with us, but overall, we had an excellent experience!

We spent a great long weekend at this property. Loved the location - close to Bolton Landing and not too far from LG Village - and right on the water. We loved the dock access for our boat. Beautiful location
The home was clean and well kept. It’s in a perfect spot right on the lake and between Bolton landing and lake George village. The pictures don’t do the home justice. Very enjoyable stay would love to visit again in the summer to enjoy the lake.

Our favorites included: the big leather sectional looking out at the lake, that the breathtaking view got even better when you went down to the dock, relaxing on the recliners in front of the fire, the shed filled with firewood, the well equipped kitchen (we didn’t need to pull out any of the gear I brought for our Thanksgiving meal, other than a carving knife and whisk) and the comfy bedding.

Perfect Getaway
I can’t say enough about this house, lake front location and owners. This is our second year renting and our stay was wonderful. The house has everything with comfortable beds, a fully stocked kitchen with large refrigerators and freezers, a fireplace and plenty of games to enjoy with our family. The outside yard has a great fire pit, wonderful boathouse and beautiful views. We have already booked our next stay!

We (my two brothers and me) had a very nice stay at this lovely well appointed house. We were in the area to play golf, and we were able to relax very well in this house. We used the canoe and took advantage of the TVs and kitchen, which are all up to standard. Great place.

Brothers’ Golf Trip

My family had a wonderful time at this home! The kitchen is well stocked with every gadget you could imagine and the house is very clean. The view on the docks is stunning and we had a great time roasting marshmallows in the fire pit with the kids each evening . We highly recommend this property!

Serene and Relaxing
Loved our stay. The owners were very responsive, the house had everything we needed and more and the view and access to the lake is just breathtaking. Close to skiing and hiking and Lake George Village. We would love to return.

Winter Wonderland
My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Michel's winter wonderland house at Lake George. The house and location were even more beautiful in person and Michel and his wife were such thoughtful hosts and made our stay such a special experience. 10/10 would recommend this place and would come back for another visit.

Excellent stay
Micheal and his wife went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The house was very clean with lots of amenities. Games, WII, PlayStation, cozy blankets etc. we had a wonderful weekend with spectacular views of the lake! Can’t wait to stay here again!

Great property
The location and house are fabulous. On the shores of Lake George with a beautiful view across to the mountains. The house is large, one of a string of magnificent homes in that location. It’s best situated for use in summer because the Lake is just about 50 steps away with its own dock and a boat dock. In winter it is close to two locations with skiiing, tubing and snowboarding. The house has all the appliances you could ask for and although all them are more than a bit dated, most of them work.
Our one major complaint is in fact that two major appliances we really cared about having—the fireplace and the jacuzzi—were not working and in fact are inoperable for various reasons, despite both being listed as available on the VRBO site. The owner needs to be transparent about this problem and remove the fireplace and jacuzzi from the listing.
The owner’s letter to us also stated there was plenty of firewood available for use in the fire pit down by the lake. In fact, there was none. When I reported this to the owner, he said he was surprised as there had been plenty of firewood when he last occupied the house in September. Clearly others renting the property after that time had used all the firewood. This might have occurred to the owner. In any event, I would urge in future he have an agent or the cleaning crew check to make sure a good supply of firewood remains.
The owner was very prompt in responding to my several queries about these problems but in each case there was nothing he could do about them while we were there.

Great winter getaway
Our family really enjoyed the house and location right on the lake. Close to skiing and nice towns. Owners were extremely responsive and helpful. Highly recommend this property.
