We had a great time in this cabin. There were plenty of bedrooms and restrooms for my family. There were fun activities in the cabin such as table tennis and a pool table. Location was great for exploring south lake Tahoe.

Overall our stay was good but a few things I’d like to see in the future. The pool table was a huge appeal for our large group or 13 but the table was in poor shape and needed to be leveled badly. The beds were pretty uncomfortable across the board. Many in our group left with back pain from some of the old springs digging in. Lastly, if the place sleeps 14 total, I don’t understand why there aren’t 14 bath towel sets and 14 pool towels. I knew thing going in as the listing disclosed this but felt weird.
This house overall met our needs but some attention to these three details would round out the property nicely.

My family and I had a great time at this rental. There was entertainment for the family and loved that the kitchen/living room/play area are all in one room so we could all still spend time with each other while doing other activities.
We did encounter an issue with the heater but this did not ruin our stay as Kris was friendly and readily available to help and answer any questions we had.
We would definitely stay here again!

Horace Greeley house
We had a great time. Nice house with plenty of bedrooms. The owner/property manager was very accommodating to requests and brought us extra seating for the outdoor space. The front yard was very nice and we really enjoyed the spa in the backyard.

This is a nice house and can accommodate large groups nicely (lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, lots to do - games, hot tub, etc), but it is advertised as wheelchair/handicap accessible and it is most definitely not. My review is based mostly on that, because my brother is in a wheelchair and we specifically picked this house so that he could join us. There are no steps to enter the house, but there are steps to every bedroom. There was only one shower without a tub, but even that shower had a step to get into it and no safety bars. The toilet was next to the shower with no room for a wheelchair to get next to it. The sinks cannot be rolled up to in a wheelchair. All of these things are required in order for something to be listed as wheelchair accessible. We had to move one of the couches during our stay just so my brother could join us in the living room, and also move the dining table so he could access the kitchen on his own. The deck is too narrow around the hot tub so he could not get past it to sit with us on the deck, unless we helped maneuver him.
Aside from that, our first night there it was pouring rain for a couple of hours. There is a leak in the living room ceiling, enough so that we had to put a bowl down to capture the water. It collected about two cups of water over 2 hours. Luckily the weather was nice the rest of our stay. The slide on the play structure was broken, which disappointed my kids. I messaged these things to the owner who simply replied “Thanks for letting me know.” The bunk beds are ridiculously loud (squeak loudly with every slight movement) and uncomfortable.
For $600/night, it should be kept up (broken slide/leaky roof). No matter what price, it should not be advertised as wheelchair accessible.

It’s just okay
Check in and check out are very easy, owner us easy to access and communicate. Location is good, convenient and quite neighborhood. However furnitures are old, beds are not comfortable, especially the futon and bunker beds. Bathrooms are out dated too, not clean.

Would highly recommend this house for large groups of friends or family. We had a group of 10 for bachelor party and it was an ideal setup. Kris was friendly easy to communicate with throughout booking process and our stay.

Our group of 16 really enjoyed our 3-day stay at this property. We had ages 1 - 60 and everyone had a great time!
Pros: plenty of bedrooms & having 4 full bathrooms was awesome; main room had the kitchen and living area with plenty of seating; 3 flat screen tv's was especially nice to watch March Madness games; pool table (converted to a ping pong table); shuffleboard and foosball game; the property was very clean when we checked in; nice size hot tub; great location; not a lot of traffic for nice walks; kids play structure and basketball hoop; and plenty of parking for 6 regular size cars.
Cons: Washing machine was dirty (had hair inside and after a full cycle, hair was still there (yuck!); I wish there was just a tad more lighting in corner dining area; some of the mattresses in bunk bed rooms were uncomfortable (so put the kids there).
We really enjoyed this cabin and will definitely be back when we have a large group. There was plenty of room and activities to keep everyone occupied. Kris, the property manager was very quick to respond to questions. Thank you Kris for all your help during our stay!

We had 4 adults and 7 kids (aged 3-13 yrs) in this house, and there were beds to spare for sure! The hot tub, play structure, and indoor play tables definitely kept the kids occupied between outdoor activities. Smaller kids may need some additional indoor things to do, if watching the cousins isn't enough. :). The house was clean and the owners very responsive, regarding a coffee maker that went kaput and the hot tub that rightfully chose to take a break when the kids splashed out too much water. Minor quibble might be the lack of a cookie sheet in the kitchen, but there were plenty of other cooking dishes to use in a work around. Plenty of eating dishes too. Beautiful spaces for indoor & outdoor gathering. Neighborhood was quiet except for a party group next street over. We would definitely stay here again!

This house was great and fit our family perfectly. Plenty of rooms, beds and bathrooms. No stairs which is a plus for us having small toddlers. The adults and teens had a blast playing pool and all the other various games provided. The littles enjoyed the outdoor play structure. Everyone had something to do and plenty of room to spread out so there was no fighting. The neighborhood was quiet and very friendly. Grandpa was able to walk his grandkids around the block. He said neighbors were polite and inviting. I would love to come back- maybe with no kids! Thank you Kris for allowing us to stay in your house!

Kris was great and checked in throughout the weekend. The house was clean, plenty of bathrooms and was exactly as described. One note is that there is one key in a lock box for the doors. its a mild inconvenience at times, but easy to coordinate around once youre aware.

Need some Major Upgrade
This house looks pretty old and nothing worth of what we paid to stay. Uncomfortable beds and small living room and bad range of WiFi. Bedroom needs to be upgrade. Refrigerators have low cooling and most of our stuff was gone bad.

Great stay for large groups!
Plenty of beds and space, our family loved the pool table, basketball court, and many TVs it kept everyone entertained, kitchen is fully stock with dishes and cookware which made cooking easy, 2 refrigerators which held tons of food and drinks + the property is located in a quiet and nice area. I'd recommend this place to anyone and we'd like to stay back here next time we're in Tahoe!

Chris very good to work with and enjoyed all the features--games, kitchen , hot-tub, and TV everywhere.

Perfect location for a large group!
My friends and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at this amazing home! We had 13 people staying at the home, and a few additional people and their kids stopped by during the day for games and meals. We took advantage of many of the home's amenities including the BBQ grill, televisions, foosball, shuffleboard, and hot tub. Everything worked great! The owner, Kris, is very attentive and provided lots of helpful suggestions on a variety of topics.
Echoing some of the other reviews, be sure to bring your own body soap, shampoo, and conditioner. I was also glad we brought a couple extra paper towel rolls and aluminum foil. Also, the driveway fits 5-6 cars, so if you plan to have a large group of people staying at the home, I would highly recommend coordinating transportation to avoid exceeding that limit. We had 5 cars for people staying at the house, and other people staying nearby used Lyft/Uber to come over for games and food.
I can't thank Kris enough for opening his home up to my friends and me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, especially large groups, looking to spend time in beautiful South Lake Tahoe.

So much fun and plenty of space to sleep! Perfect for groups.
We came here with our group of friends from college who all just graduated and had an amazing time. There was plenty of space to sleep with more than enough beds. They had everything we needed! They also had shuffle board, pool, ping pong, foosball, and a hot tub! They also have a playground for young ones! The owner even stopped by one day to check on us. Our group had the time of our lives and we will never forget it. I definitely recommend staying here :)

Great multi-bedroom house
We had a lovely stay at the house.
Pros
- Very spacious, has 6 bedrooms and sleeps about 3 people in each room.
- Heaters work really well (there are 2 thermostats)
- Washer / dryer works well too, comes with two laundry detergent packets
- Has 2 fridges, so can store a lot of food
- Hot tub was great!
- Lots of parking, we drove 3 cars, but i believe it can park 4 to 6 cars in the driveway
- easy to access house, as there is a lockbox on the side of the house
- come with pots and pans for cooking (though we brought a bunch of our own so not sure what exactly is provided)
- dishwasher works well
To note
- No shampoo / conditioner / bodywash provided (this was mentioned in the check in email)
- Buy more paper towels / toilet paper as the house only comes with a starter set of those
- Main dining table is in an awkward location in the middle of the kitchen; so it's a bit difficult to cook / put dishes away / open the fridge while people are eating. There's another small dining table to the side.
- Lots of TVs around the house, but I don't think the cable works
- floor is cold, so bring slippers!
- there is no master bedroom w/ connecting bathroom (all bathrooms are separate)
- Bedroom w/ futon in it has a tv in it
Minor Cons
- Check-in email mentioned there was salt & pepper, but we didn't find any, so we ended up buying our own
- Friends who played pool mentioned only one of the pool cues seemed to be worth using; I'm not familiar with pool though, so not exactly sure what is wrong with them
- The pool table is also a bit awkwardly situated in the middle of the house; so it's hard to get the correct shots you want in ( you may end up running into a wall)
- Foosball table is a bit broken; some of the players are broken off (so it's uneven)
4.7
Great location and space.
This home has it all...a very attentive owner (Thanks, Kris!), many bathrooms, bedrooms and the kitchen/living area was perfect for our group. We had multiple families and kids of all ages. Though we didn't use the hot tub or outside, it was there for us. So I'd assume for non-winter months that would be just as good.
4.7
Very good
Very good place and the owner was there when we needed. I definitely recommend this place.
