There is a gate from the condo gallery (patio) directly onto the beach.
Strap on your snorkel gear and head into the water.
The snorkeling is great at our artificial reef just a short swim away from the beach.
We even provide some snorkel gear !
Pour a cool drink and relax under the swaying palms to the sound of gentle waves slapping the shore while being caressed by the warm island breeze.

SARGASSO Update:
The Caribbean Sea has been experiencing higher volumes of Sargasso sea grass in recent years. This sea grass can wash up and pile on the beach and create an unpleasant smell as it decays. It is most prevalent on the North and East side of the island. In large amounts it prevents enjoyable use of our beach.
The west end of the island has beautiful beaches that are almost always sea grass free.
The Sargasso grass is most prevalent during the hotter months of late July - September.
This condition is unpredictable on a week to week basis and something that is totally out of our control. As a result, unfortunately our current policy must be that we cannot issue refunds as a result of Sargasso.

The view was great and right next to the Ocean! Place was clean and had dishes and everything you need to cook a meal. Had trouble getting into the condo at first since the batteries died in the electric door lock and the emergency key was not in the lockbox like it was supposed to be. Had to sit in the heat for a half an hour waiting for Earl but when he got there he was great! Spent some time turning on the a/c and fans and had a lot of great suggestions for dining and grocery options. Very friendly and informative. I would suggest putting some hooks to hang wet towels and swimsuits and some shelves in the bathroom for toiletries since there really isn’t any room on the sink to place your things. We had a great stay and would definitely come stay here again!

The unit is dated and needs some fresh paint. The showers were nice. Looks like they might be in the process of updating the unit.

The overall stay was good. The location was great, by the pool, and could see the ocean at all times. Being a condo owner in Naples, Florida, I take pride in my condo when people are renting it. Making sure everything is clean and well stocked. That beinging said, this condo needs some TLC. Also, when it was raining, water was coming through the air conditioner in the front bedroom. We washed the doorwall windows and the floors were not clean.

Fantastic location, only a few miles from town. You can be as quiet & secluded as you want, by walking out the patio door onto the sand in front of the condo, or talk with all the regular owners and guests at the pool/beach area right in front of the pool.
If you want groceries/drinks, Food Town about a mile from the condo is the best bet with decent selection, and Pueblo is another close option.
Colony Cove is rocky directly in front of the property, but Sugar Beach right next door (to the right) has a really nice sandy beach for swimming. Or out the door to the left in front of Mill Harbor there is a man-made reef for snorkeling.
Note - if you arrive in Dec or January and experience the Christmas winds, you will enjoy a strong breeze that keeps the bugs at bay and makes the humidity tolerable...however the snorkeling could be sketchy because the wind churns up the normally beautiful turquoise-blue water to a hazy blue-brown with no visibility. And sadly we missed going to Buck Island because there is no way the average person would get on a boat in that wind. But relaxing at the community and having good waterfront restaurants in town made it worth-while.

We had an unforgettable time at Toes in the sand. The location was unbelievable right on the water with an artificial reef just steps away,with amazing snorkeling (all equipment provided even pool noodles). The accommodations inside were just as amazing with comfortable beds and a modern kitchen with granite countertops and tons of cabinet space. We were met with every thing we needed needed even down to a cooler and a wide section of sunscreens. I would highly recommend this Gem and will gladly book again if we ever visit St. Croix again!

We came to stay for our anniversary and our friend’s anniversary as well. The condo was clean, had what we needed and in a decent location. Talking with the manager was a breeze. We will definitely being using them again if we’re ever able to come back!

This was my third time staying at Toes in the Sand, and it was (as usual) delightful. Earl is super easy to communicate with, and prompt to respond to any issues. There were bottles of rum waiting for us when we arrived, and several different sunscreens we could use if we ran out. Earl takes hospitality seriously, and it shows!
This property is located right on the beach, and there's an extensive tire reef just a short swim from the shore where you can see at least dozens of different kinds of fish (squirrelfish, angelfish, blue tangs, porcupine fish, several varieties of grunts, lionfish, harlequin bass, several varieties of goatfish, red hinds, sand perch, butterflyfish, and more!) We were worried about the sargassum, but it wasn't as bad as we'd thought from the videos we saw shortly before the trip.
We'll be back to visit, and we will plan to rent this same unit again and again!

This property was great! It was clean and comfortable! The views were amazing! Everything we needed and lots of extras to make our stay even better! Earl was super responsive and friendly. All you need is a bathing suit and flip flops!!

Property as described. It is a beautiful condo with spectacular views. It is centrally located so exploring the island is easy. There are two restaurants within walking distance. Owner was super to work with and provided for all our needs including beach towels for our use. Pack your swimsuit and book at this one for a relaxing vacation.

The condo was beautiful. Earl was very responsive and provided many extras to make our stay even more comfortable! We look forward to going back to St. Croix.

This condo was renovated after the 2017 hurricane. The unit is on the ground floor, with a terrific patio that allows direct beach access. Beautiful views of the sea, Buck Island and the port in Christiansted are seen from the living room and large kitchen. You are only a five minute drive to town, 15 minutes to the airport and just minutes to grocery stores and restaurants. There are two restaurants you can walk to on the beach and both are very good for food and drinks.
You can snorkel right off the beach and go out to a tire reef where we saw stingrays, tropical fish and huge starfish. The pool is lovely, large and clean. Overall the condo was very clean and spacious for our group of 4. If you need to watch TV, they have smart TVs so you can load your apps and watch what you want. Bedrooms are very comfortable and there was plenty of storage for clothes and gear.
There are just a few things they could add to the condo: the front door lock is difficult and you have to manipulate it a bit to get it to work. The baths could use a couple of towel bars, and the kitchen needs a few more provisions like a can opener, some large mixing/salad bowls and a few more glasses.
Part of the beach was dug up near the condo so you could not sit on the beach near the pool. It looks like they were in the process of fixing a pipe or something, so we just went down the beach a bit. Hopefully this is a short-term project that will be resolved soon.
Overall we highly recommend Toes in the Sand! Earl the property manager is a gem too! Thanks for a great vacation!

Excellent! Beautiful renovated condo near Christiansted

Great location, other condo owners and ground maintenance personnel made us feel welcome and comfortable the entire stay taking the time to talk with us and give us advice for the island. Earl took the time to come introduce himself as well.

Great location and beachfront
The unit had all the accessories one would want. View from the patio is great. The beach is not the best for swimming, rocky and not real calm. There are plenty of other beaches on the island that are worth visiting. Great location for touring the island to go east or west. Short drive to boardwalk and many restaurants to select from.

There is an outdoor patio with the perfect oceanfront view which became my remote office (wireless internet handled my video meetings without issue.) Wish I had stayed an extra week.

Stayed near here
We actually didn't stay at this property because it wasn't approved for rental by the local government yet and issued a "certificate of occupancy". But my review for Earl is what I'm doing here as he set us up with a similar property next door on the beach and the entire honey moon vacation was great! The island was super fun. Rent a car and drive in the left to explore it all. Super fun. We did a jeep and recommend a jeep for the potholes, ease of parking, and off road capability. You'll still be in an American car driving set up (driver on left) but will stay left.

This was a really great place to enjoy St Croix! The unit was very comfortable and the breeze coming off the water was awesome. I did not need to run the AC! Unfortunately I could only enjoy this wonderful unit for a short time because during my month stay we experienced two category five hurricanes and were without electricity for much of the time.The second hurricane destroyed the interior of this unit! However, Earl and Le did absolutely everything they could to ensure we were safe and as comfortable as possible. They moved us to another unit, before the second hurricane, and checked on us continually. It will take some time to restore Toes in the Sand, but after it is restored, I would highly recommend staying there! Until it is restored, I would also highly recommend working with Earl to stay at one of the other units he manages. Earl, thanks for being such a good host and for taking such good care of us! Hope to see you again, soon!

Great family vacation
Toe's in the Sand. Great title, that says it all. Place is right on the beach. Large family room Kitchen combo, overlooking the ocean. Waking up every morning and seeing the ocean, Amazing. Bedrooms on the back side of condo are very spacious. The kids loved snorkeling the man made tire reef. We will rent again.

We spent 2 weeks at Colony Cove and we had a great time. We were within an easy drive to almost everything that we needed. The snorkeling just off the beach was great. The tire reef had thousands of fish each time we went out. The highlight was the school of tarpon that was swimming around us. They were a school of 3 to 4 ft long about 10 in total. Also saw too many different fish to name them all. The scuba diving at Cane Bay was also great. It is an easy do it yourself dive from the beach and the coral was spectacular. It was about a 15 minute drive to get there. The unit we were in was ground floor and steps from the ocean. It was also very close to the pool. The restaurants within walking distance had very good food. I was concerned when I found out the only air conditioning was in the bed rooms but with the breeze that was always blowing off the ocean it was not bad at all. The unit was also stocked with all the things we needed to cook when we wanted. I hate to write a review without pointing out something that was wrong. Even paradise has its flaws. The things that I noticed I consider very minor and per say nit picking. I noticed one spot of pealing paint in the one bathroom and the one commode was a little wobbly. The only other thing I could say was that the front door screen was missing but I was told that it was in the process of being replaced by the association. None of these complaints would keep me from highly recommending this unit to anyone for their vacation needs and I am looking forward to going back as soon as I can. It had something for everyone. We had our own equipment but if you did not the owner had snorkel gear there for us to use. This was also a gated complex so I always felt very safe when we were there. Most days we had the beach and the pool to ourselves. You will not be disappointed if you pick this for your vacation.

2. The right hand door to the washer and dryer fell off pretty much every time we opened them. I have the same doors at home and adjusted the height at the bottom and may have fixed it. But, because it is warped at the bottom, it is likely to continue coming off.
3. I feel the apartment could use a "deep cleaning" When we arrived, the floors were spotless and all the towels, bedding, etc were fresh and clean. The bathrooms were also clean. Things like the baseboards/door trim, the side of the fridge, and the tracks for the sliding doors to the back patio looked like they haven't been cleaned in quite some time. Additionally, the drawer beneath the oven was very dirty inside.
If you aren't a clean freak like me, these things probably won't bother you and you should book this place! And none of this ruined our trip. We LOVED everything about St Croix!!

This Condo was Great! It was spacious and well located within the gated community. Although there were a few other condominium complexes around us, we had private beaches almost the entire time. The view was amazing and we had so much fun snorkeling and swimming out in the water. The location was centralized to everything we needed to do as people who used to live on the island and wanted to mingle with the locals. It was very easy to get around and even though we had a rental car, we could have easily walked to most of the major attractions or caught a taxi or the island VItran. I captured lots of amazing photos and have shared them with friends and family. We will be back again next year and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning a stay in St. Croix. Earl was a great guy as well and one of his neighbors Don even gave us a ride to the airport just because the residence of Colony Cove are nice, laid back people.

Wonderful Condo with Near Private Beaches
This Condo was Great! It was spacious and well located within the gated community. Although there were a few other condominium complexes around us, we had private beaches almost the entire time. The view was amazing and we had so much fun snorkeling and swimming out in the water. The location was centralized to everything we needed to do as people who used to live on the island and wanted to mingle with the locals. It was very easy to get around and even though we had a rental car, we could have easily walked to most of the major attractions or caught a taxi or the island VItran. I captured lots of amazing photos and have shared them with friends and family. We will be back again next year and I would highly recommend this condo to anyone planning a stay in St. Croix. Earl was a great guy as well and one of his neighbors Don even gave us a ride to the airport just because the residence of Colony Cove are nice, laid back people.

Perfect location that is steps to the water
We had an amazing time in St. Croix! Thanks to the owners of this beautiful condo for providing everything we needed for our daily adventures(snorkeling equipment, beach chairs/towels, cooler and even a bottle of rum)
We felt very safe in the colony cove gated community and was a super quick drive to the boardwalk. The view from this condo is gorgeous!
