We are a family of 13 (7 adults and 6 kids). We wanted a family vacation that would allow lots of activities and a great home to stay in. We love telluride but mountain village provided more natural surroundings and space. Telluride is so easy to get to by gondola that we did not miss being in town. This property was amazing and allowed us lots of space to spread out. The kids all moved to the downstairs and loved their ability to play. There were 6 kids age 5 to 11. The older kids could retreat to the bunk room and read/ iPads. We cooked every night in the well equipped perfect kitchen. The adults would have appetizers on the patio. We then did buffet style dinners with the kids eating in the kitchen. Many nights the adults would sit on the patio after dinner or we would go to the lawn at sunset in mountain village. Each day, planned activities ranged from paddle boarding on trout lake, to hikes around the town center telluride, rock climbing and mountain biking. Waking up every morning to coffee in bed in the gorgeous master suite and the beautiful view out a full size window was devine.
Location location location … everything was easily accessible. Having the grocery store so close was incredibly convenient. It was easy to walk to the grocery store, catch the gondola to mountain village and telluride and to basically have everything at your fingertips. We will definitely be back next year and plan to rebook at this property.

Convenient to market, nestled in the aspens, comfortable beds - thank you!

I was disappointed it was not a true ski in/ski out. The gondola was fairly close but had to be walked to or driven to.

This house is situated in an awesome ski-on/off-able location and has an absolutely amazing view of the SJ mountains out of a giant picture window. Each morning, thanks to solid snowfall, we were able to put our skis on next to the garage and make our way down to an easy access trail to the Bridges run.
The concierge was highly accessible and helpful as well, as we had a few minor issues which were resolved very quickly. The owners were highly communicative as well, making sure check-in and check-out were smooth. All around, amazing house and highly recommend.

The house was well located and well stocked with kitchen supplies etc. Fifth bedroom downstairs is a sleeper sofa. And a full bath though there was no shower curtain. Would be nice to have a tv in main living area though fifth bedroom / tv room was nice. Not really ski in but close for a walk at least in snow board boots but not so much for ski boots. The dial a ride shuttle is a short wait and can get you anywhere.

Our large family group had a wonderful summer stay at 104 Benchmark. Location is very convenient to all the activities and events of Telluride and Mountain Village, easily accessed by a short walk to the gondola. Communication with host and concierge was excellent and the listing photos accurately depict the house. The back patio with its wonderful views was a highlight for our group.

The Bernath Mountain Residence was absolutely breathtaking! The pictures of the home were spot-on and even more beautiful than pictures can convey on the website! We had 14 adults and four children (ages 3-6). We all had comfortable sleeping arrangements, and the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and showers in the home was a luxury!
The kitchen was fully stocked with paper goods, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and cleaning supplies. We needed a few extra towels to use for the hot tub, which were delivered to us in a matter of minutes. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of toilet paper, shampoos, soap, and conditioners.
The walk to the gondola was a beautiful one, including a trail through the trees, a walk past a pond inhabited by beavers, and easy access to a food market on the way. This was our 4th vacation to Telluride, and the use of the free gondola is one of our favorites! Getting back and forth to the gondola station was very easy... even with wagons and small children.
The owners of the resort home were very responsive and answered any questions we had for them. The VRBO group in Mountain Village made themselves available for any questions we had. On behalf of our family and friends... thank you for making this visit to Telluride our best yet!
Thank you!

Perfect for our group of 10, very easy ski out; ski almost in; 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 downstairs plus a den and an office each with fold outs. Well supplied kitchen except for possibly the dullest knives in Telluride. Working gas fireplace in kitchen. Excellent concierge service. Dial-A Ride was unsubscribed at our time of rental so confirm with owner it is operational or rent a car. Easy walk to/from the gondola & Market in daylight but at night it felt dangerous as its pitch dark (no street lights) without sidewalks

Great shared spaces. Ski in / ski out difficult with kids.

We had 15 guests in total. 8 adults and 7 children. We are avid skiers and loved th the ease of hopping on the gondola and taking the kids to ski school. The home is just beautiful. 3 separate floors made it easy for everyone to have their own space. Would LOVE to rent this home again!

This property is in a great location next to Mountain Village. Looks like the property has not been updated in years. Jacuzzi tub had mold in the Jets. Wi-Fi was poor televisions not hooked up to Wi-Fi.

We enjoyed our stay as our family gathered to celebrate a fall wedding on San Sofia.
Pros: walking distance to gondola, beautiful log home with amazing view! Easy to park and use of garage was really nice! Loved hot tub! Saw wildlife outside back yard!
Cons:
Rugs- very slippery: could be very dangerous (includes small rugs at doors and also rugs under tables and in sitting room. Caution!!) Very dusty; could use thorough cleaning. Bunk bed room- mattresses are very thin and can feel springs; would be nice if parents had full size bed in addition to twins. Wooden furniture in bunk room was not practical for sitting; very uncomfortable. 2 beds in bunk room did not have top/ flat sheet to cover up with.
Office- needs pull out couch- wasted space
There were No tvs spaces in rooms other than bedrooms for all to gather.
Minimal towels and there were no wash cloths to use in bathroom.

The queen bedroom with its own bathroom located on the bottom level is a pull sofa sleeper. The VRBO listing indicates that it is a regular queen bed we were not able to use it as a bed and had two fashion our own bed for a couple that was sleeping in there. This was a huge disappointment since we paid for a proper queen room with bath.

Do not rent! Did not come close to meeting our expectations
I sent the owner an email:
I’m not sure if you received the full list of issues/suggestions I provided to your concierge.
The sheets on two mini master beds were dirty, containing lots of hair. We took them off and washed them ourselves.
The small kitchen trash can is woefully inadequate to handle the volume of trash
The sofa in the office was full of dust. When we sat on it, puffs of dust came off the cushions. We shook them off outside.
The extra bedding materials in the bar area were not clean. We washed them before using.
The blow up mattresses deflated, one within a short time and another lost some air every hour or so, requiring my grand daughter to have to reinflate throughout the night. I put one in the garage, as I would throw it away.
The Lack of furniture in the master bedroom prevented my wife and I from being able to sit together and talk quietly or even watch TV if we wanted to do.
There were no extra light bulbs to replace the lamps that are out
The wall switches on the first floor give a shock when turning the switches on or off.
The antler light in the living room would not turn off. I assume there is a wall switch problem.
The door on the second floor mini master at the far end does not shut properly nor does the bathroom door.
At least three wooden kitchen chairs were falling apart.
The living room does not have enough seats for even 10 people to sit comfortably. We carried in the couch from the office and set it in front of the fireplace so we could sit around and talk, sing and tell stories.
The lack of snow made it impossible to ski in and ski out. I understand we are late in the season. We made it work.
None of the showers had any soap or shampoo. The small hand soaps on the sinks are inadequate.
We were only given one towel per person, no extras!
There are no TV's in any of the common areas.
There is only one main refrigerator, not even one in the bar area
For the money we expected a MUCH better experience. My wife and I have been hosting a large family ski trip for the last 13 years. We love gathering everyone together. Our kids and grandchildren look forward to this trip every year. We’ve stayed lots of places and have never had such a poor set up in any of the houses we've rented.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Fun Time But...
The property, though in a great location and neighborhood and fairly well meets the description online, has just a few disappointing factors that management or ownership should tend to. Upon arrival, there is a sign that warn you the floors are slippery, so they know it's a problem. The rugs don't have pads under them. The problem has yet to be addressed. Several people slipped and fell on the rugs. When I went to start putting groceries away, the kitchen cabinetry was in disarray, not organized and the kitchen cabinets inside were not clean. As well some of the pots and pans were dirty, which made me feel like I needed to wash everything. Also - no trays, no tupperware, no Pyrex, etc. There were at least two dining chairs that were wobbly. When you would open or close the dishwasher it would move in and out of its cabinetry. Huge icicles hanging over the hot tub made everyone afraid to get in until we knocked them down ourselves. The last night we started the grill to grill steaks and shrimp. It didn't even make it through cooking the meal. There were two other propane tanks there and we hooked them up. Both were empty. The icemaker didn't work. There is no disposal, so you're having to constantly make sure nothing goes down the drain. The towels were extremely thin and not the typical quality you would expect in a luxury home rental. It is true that there are 5 1/2 baths, but you should make note that one of those baths is only a bathtub and not a shower. Overall the furnishings look a little tired. The decor could use a little refreshing. Loved the log cabin and great views from the property. The ski in and ski out feature is a bit of a hike if you have little ones.

February 2022 Ski Trip
Overall this is a nice ski house that was large enough to accommodate our large party (12 people). It is convenient to the mountain, and surrounded by other wonderful homes. Our concierge was great...she was very responsive, and when we surfaced an issue she genuinely tried to get it addressed.
That said...our group has stayed in many ski houses over the years, so we have a pretty good idea on what a top notch ski house looks like, and what to expect. In summary, on an overall basis, we were disappointed with this house. This rental was very expensive...and for the price we paid, we encountered way too many "issues" with the house. Below are just a few of them:
1) On arrival day the hot tub was dirty, it hadn't been cleaned, had leaves in it, etc.
2) One of the beds had blood stains on the sheets. Pretty disgusting...
3) The kitchen was dirty...it hadn't been cleaned. The coffee pot was full of used coffee grounds, and it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time.
4) In the Master Bedroom we had moths flying around in the rafters the entire week. They would land on us at night and wake us up. Pretty Gross!!! When we contacted the Concierge about this, she contacted the Owner, and their response was simply that we should "open the windows and let them fly out". Not a great response. Seems like this house may need to have some pest control service...
5) This house is not a true ski in/ski out...it's a bit of a hike to get to the slopes (although in fairness, we have found over the years that many people who rent ski houses "overpromise" on this point)
6) The refrigerator in the house is VERY undersized for a house this large, which is designed to accommodate a large party (12-14 people). There should be a 2nd refrigerator in the house to ensure adequate cooler/freezer capacity for large parties.
7) The house had a pool table, but all the pool cues were damaged (without felt tips, etc) or broken.
8) There are some throw rugs on the wooden floor in the den that are a safety risk. We had multiple incidents where members of our party almost slipped and fell on them. The wood floors are slippery.
Overall...while the home was beautiful, there seemed to be a general lack of attention to detail on basic cleanliness and amenities. In summary...for the money we paid, we were disappointed with this house. The Owner needs to make more of an effort to ensure a quality experience.

Huge house in a great location
Large log cabin styled house with amazing views of the mountains, in a great location. Very close to true "ski-in, ski-out", the slopes are just a short walk down to street, super easy.

104 Benchmark
All in all, we had a comfortable stay in the home.
Contacted property manager before arrival and she emailed two maps for us to access property. Unfortunately, these maps lacked most street names including Mt. Village Blvd and Benchmark.
Our group was anable to play pool because many of the pool cuse were bent and most were missing tips. Notified property manager so she can get those replaced for future guests.
Master bedroom was only room with TV remote.
Other 2 TV's had no remote...difficult to change channel at all in media room and children could only watch one station in bunk room.
Only 1 garage door opener provided as well as two house keys. Was insufficient for more than 2 couples staying there.
Suggest installing a security alarm as well as making trash compactor, garbage disposal and ice maker operable.
We never cooked at the house but could see that kitchen was well stocked with utensils, paper towels, etc.
Thank you

Great summer stay
Great house for our summer vacation to Telluride. Positives… one of the closest houses to the free Gondola access, fishing pond across the street, great communication with owner, responsive to needs. Slight negative… it backs up to the major road into mountain village and traffic can be a tad loud in the morning. But this is a decent trade off in order to be so close to the gondola. Overall great stay.

Great location! Very easy walk to the store and mountain village. O
Great trip, easy to work with. and amazing location. Thank you to the owners for sharing your home. Only issue it is only says 6 bedrooms, but it is really 5 and one with a fold out couch with a half bath (bath tub, no shower). It only sleeps 12 in beds and then has a fold out couch. Telluride is beautiful and a wonderful trip in the summer.

Beautiful Spot & Location - just some minor issues
The property was gorgeous and the house was in very good shape. Excellent location and property owner was very communicative. We really enjoyed our stay.
Only complaints:
-Minor Internet issues: Wi-Fi was a bit spotty and needed an occasional re-boot. The password on the check-in email was all lowercase (correct), while the password on the placards in the house was uppercase (incorrect), which caused a lot of confusion at first, but we got it sorted.
-Water/Ice machine was not connected to water due to "safety issues," so plan on drinking tap water and/or buying ice.
-Oven worked, but the digital display was broken which made cooking at home difficult.
-Would recommend the property manager stock extra shampoo/conditioner in bathrooms as it ran low for the amount of guests over a 4-night stay.

Ski Trip Telluride
Everyone o.k to deal with. Ice maker not working and was informed by manager that the store was right around the corner if we needed ice. Air mattress leaked but were replaced by manager after day 2. Ski in / out as advertised but ski instructors thought it was a joke compared to other options they were familiar with. We bought cast iron skillet and cutting boards for kitchen. Not a real problem but don't expect much in the kitchen. 1 of the 3 main bedrooms only had a small bath tub with hose handle. No stand up shower. Probably the biggest problem. It worked fine for our group but won't be staying there again.

Family Ski Vacation
Stayed for 5 days with my in laws and 6 children. We had some novice skiers but were able to navigate the ski out/easy in feature.
The house was as advertised. Super nice with some of the owner’s art work. Plenty of room. Walked to grocery store daily. Walked to gondola. Telluride closed at 9 pm. Snow was great.

Great House and Location
This house was gorgeous and in the BEST location. We loved being able to walk to the gondola and Mountain Village. And perhaps the best part was the lake across the street. The kids loved fishing and playing on the dock in the afternoons. The house has all of the amenities necessary and we had a fabulous week!! Also the beds were super comfortable and the owners/concierge were very responsive. We hope to return again.

Almost perfect...
I will keep this brief because we truly had a wonderful time. The house was beautiful.... however, there were several broken things that could have easily been repaired/replaced at little expense ( towel racks and washer lid and chairs) that ended up being quite aggravating. Also, the kitchen cooking utensils and coffee pots were a mess. The pillows (2 LUMPY standard size in a king bed for example) were disappointing also. Again, easy fixes on an expensive rental could have made this the most amazing family vacation.
The views from this home were nothing short of spectacular!
All-in-all the skiing was great and the short trip to the gondola was not an issue.
Thanks to VRBO for hooking us up.

Rundown and tired - did not meet expectations
In summary: if you have a small group, and are not looking for luxury accommodations, this might be for you. It did not come close to meeting my group's expectations.
Pros:
- Ski-out and walk-in was as advertised, and very easy.
- The views from the house were spectacular.
- Management company was responsive.
- Furnishings in the living room were nice.
- Entry/Exit instructions were straightforward and easy.
- Parking for vehicles was plentiful.
Cons:
- The house did not meet our expectations for luxury; it seemed that the house was built 20 years ago with the cheapest fixtures and no maintenance had been done since.
- All faucets were loose and many were leaking, shower doors didn't close properly making the bathroom wet with normal use, and one bathroom had a bathtub with a hose with no shower head or door.
- The kitchen was very poorly equipped. It is not setup to cook for a large group of people. There is one large stock pot, and 1 large baking sheet. There are no sharp knives nor large cutting boards.
- Appliances in the kitchen were in very poor shape. The dish washer and oven are not properly fastened to the cabinets and will fall out without careful use. The door to the oven does not close properly which causes the oven to take a long time to pre-heat. The refrigerator water dispenser does not work, and the automatic ice maker is broken (although it will dispense ice if you make ice manually). The trash compactor works but the correct bags were not available, so after one load, it became clogged and unusable. At this price point and for large groups, most houses have 2 of many appliances (e.g. ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers).
- Hot tub is limited to 4 people at a time.
- WiFi is unusably slow even when nearly everyone is out of the house. Do not plan on working remotely from this house without a hotspot.
- There is no technology in the house. At this price point, many houses have whole house stereo systems. This house has a single CD player in the kitchen, and no TV in any common spaces (only small TVs in some of the bedrooms).
- Sheets and towels are of the lowest quality. Most of the towels were threadbare and starting to tear.
- Layout of the house is not conducive to large groups of people. When most of our party left a day early leaving only 8 people behind, it was comfortable. Otherwise, there is not seating in the eating areas or the living areas for everyone.

Great stay.
Gorgeous house in excellent condition. Ski out works pretty well if you can ski 50 feet down a gentle hill in untracked snow. If not then its a short walk to get to a roadside track and ski from there to the bridges run. Ski out really doesn't work. Have to walk a little ways along Benchmark drive but its downhill and not hard. Better yet there is a free dial a ride service that will take you to or pick you up at just about any location around the resort and town of Mountain Village. Don't forget to ask owner/manager for information on how that works and the access code to use it. I don't think that information was on the check in instructions. There is an app you can download to your phone and request a pickup from the app.

Great house, great location
The house was great - we were able to ski out directly from the house, and just a short walk back from the Bridges trail. Amazing views, great responsiveness from the owner & property management firm.
