About this cabin rental
Summer of 2024: There may be 1 prime middle of the summer week come available (week of July 27 or week of Aug 3 or Aug 10) - as of 4.1.24 owner is waiting for family member vacation plans to firm up before listing. Contact owner if interested and we will stay in touch.
2009 built log cabin with gorgeous water views from home and expansive deck! A large dock system with float dock makes fishing and water access easy. Responsible renters only please. Feel free to contact the owner for other DATES that are not listed as open as owner's family use of the cabin is flexible at times. Note: rates are generally priced to encourage Fri-Fri rentals.
We use Diamond Cleaning to clean after rental guests.
This home is located on a wooded lot yet is only minutes from Bridgton center for movies, dining, and shopping. (Also 15 minutes to Shawnee Peak and less than an hour to Sunday River in the winter!) Also, enjoy shopping in nearby North Conway or visit LL Bean and other shops in Freeport.
The cabin is located on a wooded lot with 200' of waterfront on the western shore of Woods Pond. There is a great fishing right off the end of the dock. Woods Pond is approximately 2 miles long and 1/2 mile across and is one of the cleanest lakes in the area. It is a large enough lake for water sports but does not get heavy boat traffic.
3-4 kayaks, stand up paddle board, row boat, fire pit, board games and assorted DVD videos.
Water access from the dock. There is no beach. However there is a nice town beach about a mile away on Woods Pond with a nice playground. There is a boat ramp on the lake but there are no marina/gas facilities on the lake. Guests are welcome to bring their own boat and tie up to our dock. The cabin has WiFi and internet/streaming TV. In addition to the listed 3 bedrooms, the lower level has a comfortable pull-out queen sofa bed with the 1/2 bath and outside entrance which can be nice private space. The loft also has a futon which could be used in a pinch for sleeping. Linens are included.

Home was wonderful. Lot is perfect for that camping feel with a spectacular lake view! West side of Lake for sunrise views...Firepit with plenty of seating, kayaks, board games. Internet was excellent - TV viewing changed to Roku so that required some adjusting on our part for Live TV viewing but we managed (and learned). concern was expressed by some for summer time stays regarding lack of Air Conditioning, but it was very comfortable for our October visit. home is very well stocked with kitchen utensils and amenities. Gary was very attentive and helpful with questions and needs. Would definitely rent again!!!

Great place to stay on Woods Pond. Swimming and Kayaking were excellent. You can dive right off the end on the dock! The house was phenomenal and had all of the extra touches to make you feel right at home. Heard the loons the last night of our stay. Great location, Bridgeton, Naples, North Conway, and Portland all within an hours drive. If you are looking for a place to stay with family in the Lakes Region this house is an excellent choice.

My family of 5 adults rented this cabin. This was no run of the mill basic cabin in the woods. This was a beautiful home and had everything you could ever need. We love to cook and the kitchen was well equipped with anything we needed. They definitely thought of everything! The only thing I would suggest they have more of is hand towels. However there was an abundance of large towels and beach towels so we just used them! The property itself is beautiful, peaceful and quiet. We didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted on the pond due to rough water and it got a little chilly but we had lots of fun playing games inside, of which there were many. We enjoyed the fire pit at night and playing Heads Up by the fire. Gary was a great host and checked in with us to see if we had any questions or needed anything. All in all we had a wonderful relaxing vacation and would certainly stay here again.

Second time just as great as the first!
This was our second time staying at Gary/Donna's cabin and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Great property, well appointed, and communication with owners was excellent.

Family lakeside getaway
Great experience. Stayed here many years, and it always exceeds our expectations. Perfectly set up for a family with young kids.
Plenty of sleeping options, safety precautions throughout the property. Wonderful sandy/shallow beach within a few minute drive.
Couldn’t be happier with our stay.

Another lovely stay!
As always, we enjoyed our stay at the lake house! The lake, amenities and cabin are wonderful and you could not ask for more. The house is fully equipped and very comfortable but we spend most of our time on the dock enjoying the water. Don’t hesitate to rent!

Perfect Location for a Relaxing Maine Vacation
The cabin and location were absolutely gorgeous - we could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was so clean and cozy and organized. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had all of the utensils and appliances we could have asked for. My kids really enjoyed the Lego table and we all enjoyed the great selection of board games. I also loved that the light switches were labeled - no learning curve figuring out which one controls which light.
We absolutely loved using the kayaks on the lake and the fire pit on chilly days. It was so amazing to go out onto the deck each morning and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Gary was wonderful with communication and assistance. He answered all of our questions promptly and completely. He provided a binder with information on the house, property, and surrounding area. He provided his phone number in case any questions came up and was available when we did have a couple things to check on.
Bottom line: this is wonderful house from wonderful renter - we hope to be back soon!

Just the place you are looking for.
We really enjoyed our autumn getaway to Maine. The lake was beautiful and tranquil. The house was perfect- so clean, and all the amenities. My husband forgot his phone charger and they even had one available for use.
My favorite part was the deck- perfect for coffee and a book on a crisp morning. Hope to be able to bring my extended family back up over the summer!

Another Great Stay
This was our second year at Gary and Donna’s house on Wood’s Pond. The log cabin was extremely clean and had all the amenities needed for our 2 families to enjoy. This vacation, we spent all our time at the lake. We enjoyed kayaking, SUP and floating dock. We rented a boat for the week, where our families had a great time tubing. There were plenty of life vests for all kids to enjoy the lake safely. During the week days, the lake was pretty quiet. At night there was an assortment of games to play indoors and out. We will definitely come back! Thank you for making our stay so perfect!

2nd time was better than the first!
We stayed at Gary and Donna’s for a second straight year; and did not disappoint. They really add a personal touch to your stay. We have 4 young children (7, 5, 2, 1). Gary and Donna were aware of this, and upon arrival, little details were set up to help accommodate us. High chair assembled at table. Window AC unit already installed in Baby’s room. Pack and play out and available (we had brought one). Kids life vest readily accessible. As all reviews have stated, the place is wonderful. But what will keep us coming back for years to come is the attention to detail from Gary and Donna, and the ease of communication that I had with them during the uncertainty of the early Covid months.
Thanks again,
The Elta’s

Kick Back and Enjoy this One!
A wonderful spot for a very relaxing adult family week getaway! All was as advertised, Gary was a very helpful host, and the house and furnishings were so well thought out. We had everything we could need at our disposal, and especially enjoyed the dock area, fire pit, and kayaking. We hope we find an opportunity to come back again soon!

Leaf peeping trip
The cabin was lovely, owners very accommodating, and leaf peeping spectacular. Feeling rested and renewed. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home.

The loons were calling...
The loons must have been chatting about their trip south for the winter. The property was very nice, private yet close to everything in Bridgton and Naples. The deck had a lovely view of the water. The dock was spacious and had comfortable seating. Lots of water toys which we didn't use because the air was a bit chilly while we were there. Excellent choice for the "camp on a Maine lake" experience.

Lovely lake house family vacation
Our family had a wonderful stay at this fully equipped, lovely lake house property. The lake is beautiful and we took full advantage of all the fun amenities (kayaks, paddle board, dock, fire pit, sandbox, etc.). The owners are extremely helpful and the place is very well setup to accommodate renters. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and would love to stay here again!

Perfect spot for our summer vacation!
We recently stayed for a week in this house and had an amazing time! The house is beautiful, cozy but with plenty of room for our group of four adults and four kids. Peaceful, crystal-clear Woods Pond is just steps away and the owners have provided plenty of ways for all to enjoy the water with kayaks, noodles and a stand up paddleboard, plus plenty of life jackets of all sizes and a few fishing poles. The kids enjoyed the floating dock. Downtown Bridgton is a short drive away and provides plenty of spots for food, fun, shopping etc., without the crowds of the nearby towns on Lake Sebago. The owners were very responsive as we planned our trip and were very helpful in responding to questions we had during our stay. We could not have asked for a better place to stay on our summer vacation, and we look forward to coming back for years to come!

Picture perfect waterfront cabin
This beautiful cabin was everything we hoped it would be. Clean and well maintained with plenty of living space and enough beds/bathrooms for a large family or two families to enjoy. The deck was our favorite place to relax after a day of water play on woods pond. Speaking of the pond, it was gorgeous and the owners have provided plenty of kayaks and even a paddle board and a large dock along with a floating dock. Really everything you need to have a good time on the water. If you stay in the summer I highly recommend getting up early and kayaking down the pond to watch the sunrise it is SOOO peaceful! The owners are very responsive and have really thought of everything. We will be back for sure!

Great place to take the kids!
We had an amazing time at this lovely property. Our 3 kids (6, 3 and 18 months) all loved the home and the "beautiful lake". Plenty of space, and extremely safe for kids of all ages. Gives you that remote, cabin in the woods feel, while still being close to civilization. The town of Bridgton is extremely close. North Conway, NH (near StoryLand) is only about 30 minutes; and Portland, ME is about an hour. Made for great day trips that were easy with the kids if we encountered any rain.
Gary and Donna were extremely responsive and helpful with all questions that we had leading up to and during our trip. We absolutely plan on returning to this property for years to come.

Cozy Cabin
Such an incredible cozy, but spacious cabin. Our family of five enjoyed a five day stay at the cabin over February Break. Only a 15 minute drive to Shawnee Peak, we were able to spend the day skiing and then head back to a warm and welcoming "home away from home". The cabin was well- appointed and had everything we needed from linens to appliances to cookware. Plenty of wood for the very efficient wood stove. Lots of room to spread-out for family fun or alone time. Tons of snow, but owners made sure that driveway was plowed which made our trek to and from the mountain very easy. With a full moon at night and bright sunshine most mornings the views were amazing! Owners were extremely helpful and very responsive before and during our stay.

Great spot!
We had a great time. Very nice comfortable cabin in a beautiful and peaceful spot, and we loved enjoying the waterfront, the kayaks and paddle board, nearby Bridgton with all it has to offer, hiking at Shawnee Peak, and renting a boat on Long Lake.

A little piece of heaven
This beautiful log home was just perfect for our family of 7 adults and 2 small children. The owners have made the home a safe place to bring small children with child gates for the stairs, TV anchored to the wall and the outside deck with locking gates and reinforced railings so your little ones can run around and we adults can be worry free. There are kayaks, canoes and a paddle board for your use, along with life jackets. There is also a fire pit by the water, a place my husband spent many hours. The swimming area off the dock is great with two sets of steps leading into the water so there is easy access for adults and children. There are benches and a chair on the dock to sit and enjoy a quiet cup of coffee and watch the sun rise or set! There is even a solar lamp on the dock to help with some night fishing adventures. The water is clean and refreshing. Down the road there is a beach area that is also available for use. Very well kept and sandy. Our grandkids loved it. The home itself is immaculately kept with comfy beds and an overall welcoming feeling the minute you walk in the door. My most favorite thing about this log home is the set of windows in the main living area which allows the brilliance of the morning sun to shine in. It is a great way to start the day! The town of Bridgton is a quaint town with many small shops, antique shops and eateries. There is a Tea House (need to make reservations), a Bavarian chocolate shop, Bear Bones Brewery pub and a new mexican restaurant. Of course there is Reny's - can't go to Bridgton without stopping at Reny's!! This property is truly outstanding, you won't want to leave. For my family it is definitely a little piece of heaven!!

The location was fantastic and the cabin was equipped to a high standard
We are a family of 4 and have just had a great time staying in the Schuyler Cabin on Woods Pond in Bridgton.
The property in clean and modern with all the facilities you would expect, and in a very peaceful location. The decking area was great for just sitting and viewing the lake through the trees, or reading if that is your thing, the dock is another great place to just sit and relax.
My children spent hours on the lake using the Paddle board and the Kayaks, the lake itself was quiet with the odd speed boat and a few other kayaks.
The small town of Bridgton is only a short drive away and has everything you need with restaurants, a supermarket and a great little traditional movie theatre.
We would certainly recommend this as a place to stay if you were looking for a quiet relaxing holiday in a super home.

Great place, great owners!
My family of 5 loved our stay in Bridgton. Beautiful house on the water, lots of kayaks to enjoy and a perfect cabin in the woods. Fishing was fun (2 poles), kitchen was perfectly stocked. Store and town are conveinent and adorable. Area is gorgeous, green and quiet.
Owners are conscientious and responsive, couldn't be nicer or more helpful. They made sure we could find everything in the house and it was clean and neat. We made lots of memories there as a family and I would highly recommend this property.
