It has a delightful view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca , Victoria, B.C., Mt. Baker and assorted ocean going vessels. The activity of the harbor is always changing. Over 60 different types of boats and ships can be seen regularly.
"Chez" (pronounced "shay") is French for "at the home of", and "ZigZag" is derived from the locally named ‘zigzag’ walkway that connects the home to the downtown area. Chez ZigZag is within easy walking distance of: downtown and an excellent organic grocery "Country Aire", Field Arts And Event Center, and Safeway / Starbucks, the Coho Ferry and Hollywood Beach/ Discovery Trail head. Downtown also boasts a wide variety of excellent restaurants - all just a short walk away.
Guests have access to either the front patio with its clear "Dome-a-cile", the rear covered patio in the back, and the Sauna. Chez ZigZag offers a memorable home away from home, stocked with everything you could want or need for a wonderful visit to Port Angeles. we had as great a time as you can have when parenting two tiny kids. very glad to have AC. hosts lent us a tiny screwdriver and we had some nice chats. note that one bedroom was very hot as it was separate from the air conditioned area, but the baby didn't seem to mind. only complaint would be the dog poop in the yard--not ideal for toddlers walking around. otherwise, the place was clean and had everything we could have needed. having a pack-n-play and high chair available were clutch. thanks to the hosts for a great stay.

We had a wonderful time staying in Port Angeles. Chez ZigZag was the perfect place to land after a day of hiking and sightseeing in Olympic National Park.
The hosts were very kind and attentive to our needs. Would recommend Chez ZigZag as a great place to use as you explore the beautiful PNW. Quick access to downtown and to the ferry that travels to Victoria, Canada. The views of the harbor were beautiful and interesting. We enjoyed watching the changing traffic in the harbor.

This place was wonderful!!! It had every amenity possible: patio with a fully stocked fireplace, tables picnic table, swings and even an igloo with a panoramic view of the water. The backyard had a pen full of hens, beautiful gardens, sauna and a swing. It was a short walk to a cute downtown area. A bonus - they stocked the kitchen with some snacks and coffee. The manager was incredibly kind and helpful.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you want to hike in Olympic National Park and also take the ferry over to visit Victoria. It was clean, the owners were very responsive and the view of the harbor was lovely.

A great place to stay for exploring Olympic National Park and surrounding areas.
The apartment is cozy, clean, comfortable and well appointed. The views of the water are breathtaking with something different to see each time you look. This is our second time staying here and hope to do so in the future. Great hosts who may attention to the detail.

Quirky apartment with an amazing view. Comfy beds, well stocked kitchen, beautiful grounds and a breathtaking view. Port Angeles itself was a little disappointing, but the location was great for adventures to surrounding areas.

This was the perfect find. We absolutely loved the location. Easy walk into town with a beautiful overlook ocean view. The accommodations were well appointed with several thoughtful touches. The unit is located above the owners house, but is separate and private. The owners were very responsive when we had a question. We would happily stay here again if we were in the area.

Everything about our stay was just right. The property is well thought out, includes considerate extras, like laundry detergent, paper towels, salt, pepper, etc. Perfect size for our family of three. Amazing location. We walked to the grocery, to the ferry line for a day trip to Victoria, and to many shops and restaurants. All in all could not ask for anything more!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Chez Zigzag. It was clean and comfortable while offering spectacular views in all directions. It is located within a 5 min walking distance from downtown shops and restaurants. The kichen and bathroom were well stocked with basic items which simplified our stay. The hosts were helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic time at CZZ. The location is perfect for walking to the ferry to Victoria and restaurants/groceries. It is also only a few minutes drive to the entrance to Olympic National Park for Hurricane Ridge. The hosts have thought of everything, and were quick to respond to any questions. They had a pack and play for our infant as well as a high chair. Our toddler loved the “bubble” out front. All in all would highly recommend to anyone!

Chez Zig Zag did not disappoint! Adorable cottage with lots of amenities. We loved enjoying a cocktail in the dome and watching the sunset over the water after a long day of hiking in Olympic. Brent and Amy were very hospitable and had great recommendations! The chickens and free eggs were a pleasant bonus! Will definitely stay here again if I visit this area in the future

Stayed 4 nights while visiting family and for attending the Leo Yang performance at the Field and Arts Hall. Convenient location for walking to groceries, rental bikes and restaurants!! Clean, quiet, with great views!!

If you are looking for a place where you could walk to the ferry, a healthy market and the buzz of a small town, with fantastic mattresses, everything you could ask for in a compact kitchen, views out the living space to be zen to, a bright beautiful reno'd bath then look no further. It has a home feel. So be respectful guests and treat it like a queen because this place has a very sweet vibe and gracious hosts.

My dad and I enjoyed a comfortable weekend at the property. It was well equipped, even had fresh eggs, and the location was absolutely perfect, close to shopping, walking trails, Lake Crescent and Sequim. And what a view! Our favorite part was the enclosed bubble in the back yard, we had happy hour in there every night, it was warm and cozy and really unique. We’ll be back.

My best friend and I stayed here for 2 days for a quick girls weekend away. This was the perfect little place for us. It was cozy, very clean, and had great views. Super close to downtown, and we even hopped the ferry to Victoria for the day. We had farm fresh eggs for breakfast that the hosts generously left us. Communication was clear, and check-in/check-out was a breeze! Would absolutely stay here again!

My mother and I spent a long weekend exploring Olympic with Port Angeles as our home base. The Zig Zag was a great size for us, allowing all the comforts of home with incredible views and a central location. Our hosts could not have been kinder or more accommodating. If we ever return to Port Angeles, we will DEFINITELY stay at Che Zig Zag again!

We could not have had a better place to stay during our visit to Olympic NP. The apartment was the perfect location and size, and had a nice view of the water. We returned our first day to find a carton of fresh eggs, compliments of the owner’s chickens. We especially enjoyed the heated floor in the bathroom and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Hope to return some day for another visit!

Don’t know where to start, perfect location, the view from windows beautiful. We came early and parked by place in the morning went down zigzag trail that lead right to board for our whale watching tour, when we came back time to check in. The outside sitting area was beautiful and we had everything ready waiting for us to light a fire in outside chimney. Managers always available for questions. Bonus we got fresh chicken eggs and the heated bathroom floor hit the spot. Not far to go hiking. Just perfect will be back for sure.

What an amazing find in Port Angeles! Chez ZigZag is close to town, has a gorgeous view of the bay and is clean and gorgeously decorated. The owners have thought of everything. There’s a binder with all the information you could need including restaurant reviews, a list of stores in towns and detailed information about the all sights to see in the area. We arrived to find chocolates on the beds, snacks in the kitchen, and fresh eggs in the refrigerator from the owners’ chickens. The bathroom floor is even heated. We couldn’t have found a better place to stay!
