Great home with multiple areas for people to talk, play games, sit to eat. The patio leaves a bit to be desired compared to other places we've stayed but totally doable. The beach and lawn were great for swimming and yard games.

Great vacation - no complaints from any of our crew. Just about everyone caught fish, of course they are never big enough! Kids were in the water most of the time -weather was great! Thanks for your hospitality!

Our family had the most incredible weekend at Island Bay Lodge! The hosts were incredibly gracious and the home was exactly as described (if not even better than expected)
Our family of 15 had plenty of space to spread out when we wanted and the perfect space to come together for family meals or game nights!
The access to the lake was divine as well as the kayaks and SUPs that were available for our use! The kids loved the diving/swimming platform. We had a couple of drizzly days but it didn’t stop them! We rented a pontoon from Greer’s so having the dock access was also appreciated!
All in all we are 100% spoiled by this place and we can’t wait to return again! PS - this kitchen has it all - tons of appliances, flatware and dishes plus an incredible bar area with ice maker!!

Copp Clan Summer 2021
The Lodge layout is such that with our large family gathering, everyone found comfortable spots to gather. The bay is ideal for paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming and just relaxing in floaties.
We took turns preparing an evening meal for all and the kitchen and dining areas fully accommodated the cooks and diners. We re-upped for next year. The fishermen are determined to catch that big muskie that got away.

Beautiful get away by the lake
Thank you for a wonderful house and a wonderful vacation.
We were 18 of us and there was plenty of space for everyone to move around and find something to do.
The highlight was the access to the lake and even though the weather was a little bit on the chilly side we were able to use the kayaks and thoroughly enjoyed our time on the water.
The house was very clean, tastefully decorated and plenty of kitchen utensils to help us prepare meals for the four days we were there.
Ryan was very accessible via text for any questions we had.
We hope to be back soon!

Spacious retreat with exceptional views and location
Spent a long Labor Day weekend with family. We only had 11 people so plenty of room. Very clean and welcoming. All our questions were quickly answered. Layout allows for a lot of family togetherness which is exactly what we wanted. Water very clean (cold over Labor Day), but beautiful.

The property creates the perfect space for a large extended family to gather. We loved the kayaks, paddle boards and area for swimming. Kids of all ages and several adults all found lots of opportunities to enjoy ourselves without being too crammed. We would highly recommend and will likely go back!

Island Bay Lodge
We had a great week of boating, kayaking, swimming and paddle boarding at Island Bay Lodge with our big extended family. The home easily accommodated 21 of us with a nice inside layout, open, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful outdoor space. The sunsets were spectacular!

Great place to have a small wedding!
This was an awesome old lodge that has been totally remodeled and retains all the old "Northwoods" feel and charm of a bygone era. Private bedrooms with baths, huge rec room in the lower level (which the kids loved) and a gourmet style kitchen that would rival any pro chefs kitchen. The grounds and home were in terrific shape and the setting was terrific for our weekend wedding. The property provided great accommodations for our entire family . Ryan was great to deal with and very responsive. Will be recommending to friends, family and business people I am in contact with!

Lovely Retreat in the North Woods
This is our second year at Island Lake Resort and it was as lovely as we remembered. New people who joined us were surprised at how big it is. It is very clean and spacious. Our extended family is large, but there is always enough room to spread out. With fireplaces, games, pool table and views, even rainy days are splendid.
We spend lots of time on the spacious deck. Last year our concern was the distance between the posts on the deck were large enough for toddlers to slip through. This year we brought plastic fence and zip ties to relieve our fears. Worked great.
Because there is a bedroom on the first floor and a way to drive down to the beach, this is a great place for people with physical limits.
We LOVE that kayaks and stand up paddle boards are included. The dock is big enough for 3 boats. The grounds are beautifully maintained. The fire pit is spacious. The walk up and down to the beach (43 steps!) keeps you in shape, but the beach is easily accessible for small children and adults alike.
We highly recommended this rental. We hope to have many more stays at Island Bay lodge.

Great for a large group
We had a group of 18 for a weekend of fishing and golfing. The house was perfect - tons of beds, huge kitchen, and nice patio for campfires. Easy water access for boats and plenty of space at the pier too.

Amazing Lodge!
12 women shared an amazing time at Island Bay Lodge during a yoga retreat. The lodge's accommodations surpassed our expectations! The lodge is tucked away in a quite serene bay where we enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking. Highly recommend!!

It worked very well for 6 couples and 2 singles for a biking excursion to the Vilas County area.
The property is very well laid out for a group of our size. The only wish is that their was one more full bath on the second floor as I as the coordinator was on the short end of showers. But that is a minor comment. The kitchen and dining area is great as was the lower level with the TV for movies and pool table. Having extra ice from the bar ice maker made for easy for picnic lunches plus drinks in house. The views are fabulous and having boards, kayaks, swimming raft, plus fire pit and chairs made for all day and nite get togethers. Consensus is to come back again next year..

Wonderful house for group of family or friends
Beautiful home on a quiet bay. We rented with 3 other families and it was perfect for our group. Well stocked kitchen for cooks and great indoor space for relaxing and games. Beautiful property and lake. We didn’t have great weather but would definitely return.

Beautiful home!!!
Great trip! Accomodations exceeded our expectations. We had family from 4-70 years old who enjoyed their stay. You won’t want to leave the house. There’s so much to do and the views were incredible.

Family trip for our Moms memorial
We had a wonderful family trip to Island Bay Lodge. The lodge was beautiful and exactly as shown. The owners were great to work with.
We didn’t mind the security patrolling until they decided to knock on the door at 8:00 am to tell us they were patrolling the area, which is the same thing we were previously told the 2 nights before. So that was very annoying.
But we enjoyed our week and hope to make it back one day.

Wonderful place for large groups
The lodge is wonderful. Plenty of room with all the amenities you can think of having. Our group voted the built in ice maker at the bar to be the biggest highlight. Outside the landscaping is exceptional with the fire pit and plenty of chairs. Perfect views of the lake from the lodge and fire pit. Overall a great time was had by all and we have planned to return next year
