About this lodge
This lodge style home in the heart of McMinnville sits on a very quiet and private two acres. Located just .4 miles from the historic 3rd street business district, it is an oasis of peace and quiet. The house is unseen from the road. When you enter through the driveway, you enter an area of large oaks, and towering fir trees. The south side of the house features a forty foot bank of floor to ceiling windows which look out onto a stunning view of forest trees and creek, where many birds and deer can be spotted.
The house features a living room, dining room and a large kitchen. It is beautifully furnished with mission style furniture, and is accented with a variety of locally created art work. The cherry wood dining room table can seat 12 people. There is a rock fire place that takes up nearly the entire wall on the east end of the living room, making for a very cozy atmosphere. There is a convenient half bath near the dining room and kitchen.
Downstairs, there are three bedrooms, each with their own french doors that open onto a deck with the same south view as the living room and dining room. Two of the bedrooms have their own in suite bathrooms. The third bedroom has its own bathroom across the hall. The bathrooms are well appointed with marble showers and two of them also have bath tubs. The rooms are furnished with mission style furniture and are complemented by beautiful bed covers and original northwest artwork. Two of the bedrooms have both a queen size bed and a twin bed. The third bedroom has a queen size bed.
The west end of the house features a separate living space with a private bath, and kitchenette. This space has a wonderful view of the woods and creek, a private entrance as well as a common entrance. It features cathedral ceilings, and cedar walls. The large bathroom has both a soaking tub and a shower. The room has both a queen size bed and a twin bed.
The tower room is a quiet, get-away with a beautiful 360 degree view of the woods. It features a futon couch that folds down into a full size bed.
The kitchen features a large refrigerator as well as a 36 inch commercial Viking range. There is plenty of dinnerware, silverware, and glassware to accommodate 12 people.
The size, accommodations, and the private environment of this house make it a perfect gathering place for friends and family.

The home was lovely and had great windows overlooking the woods. It accommodated 8 of us very well!

Our group had the best time here, the house is so lovely and relaxing. You feel like you're in a tree house. We visited quite a few wineries that all close to the property and you can walk into the adorable downtown area!

Great house in the trees while we were in town for a family wedding, definitely got the Oregon feel. Provided our extended family enough space to spread out. Quiet separate "apartment" for the grandparents, and main house for kids and parents. The steps to the tower room are winding and steep, and it is crazy bright with no window coverings or screens. Well appointed kitchen and bedrooms/bathrooms with extra's. For size of house could use a few more comfortable seating areas in main room, some facing backyard trees would be great, and a larger tv. The front porch was a great spot for morning coffee and there were deer almost every day. One of the cleanest and well maintained houses I have rented.

We enjoyed the central location and the house was perfect for our group of 4 couples. Each had their own bedroom and bath. The house was clean and had many amenities and we enjoyed the local family of deer that visited the driveway every night and morning.

This house was the best location for our friend group of 8! We had both wine tasters and beach walkers in our group!
We really enjoyed the layout of the house which allowed us to have family style dinners together, cooked in the well appointed kitchen with beautiful pottery pieces to make your table look incredible.
We really liked the “shared pantry” for items to use and share with the next family/group. What a great idea!!!
The beds, linens, and towels were super comfortable and the house was clean.
We loved that the house was close to everything, yet tucked away, backing up to a forest with deer that wandered close to the house.
Getting into the house and prepping to leave was seamless.
Would definitely recommend!!
Thank you so much Diane and Charlie!!

This was such a perfect fit for our family of 10 that was in town for my son's wedding. It was spotless, so well stocked with everything you need. Plenty of room with comfy beds and beautiful bedding and nice towels. The wooded setting was beautiful as we watched the deer out the window. Wish it was on a lake in the mountains so I could rent it every year.

Excellent house for a family reunion with lots of room, lots of bedrooms and bathrooms, and, a wonderfully equipped kitchen. Large dining room table for all of us to eat all of our meals together. Plenty of places for games and puzzles. Conveniently located to town, museums and wineries / breweries. We communicated well with the owners and they were very helpful and responsive.

Beautiful, quiet setting. Close to activities, restaurants. One drawback if elderly guests , is that there are stairs to be negotiated to all bedrooms. Adding a handrail on stairs to suite would be helpful. We had a wonderful few days with our family.

We loved the large great room with beautiful views of the woods. My family saw deer in the early morning. Wonderful location with close proximity to downtown McMinnville. There is a nice guidebook with house instructions and local recommendations for easy check-in and out. We had a lovely stay.

Our group of eight had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was excellent, with short drives to many wineries, and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and bars. We saw several deer and loved the towering trees on the property. Having four bathrooms with showers worked great for the four couples in the group. We cooked and grilled multiple times and enjoyed hanging out in the spacious family room. This property, the town of McMinnville, and the abundant beauty of Oregon were all most excellent!

Perfect
I don’t think you can find a better VRBO in McMinnville (or just about anywhere). We were in town for our son’s wedding at a local winery and the location was perfect. The house is spacious, secluded, quiet, and just perfect for my extended family who stayed with us. Do not hesitate to book when you can. The hosts are great and very responsive. I truly did not want to leave.

Beautiful
It is a beautiful property and close to a charming town. When you first drive into the neighborhood I thought I had made a mistake but the property is isolated and beautiful

Wonderful family reunion!
We had a wonderful stay at Dianne and Charles’ lovely home. The location couldn’t have been better, less than a mile to downtown McMinnville. Each family had their own bedroom and bathroom, and there was plenty of room to congregate in the living room and dining room. The kitchen is fully stocked for a large group. Thanks so much for opening your home to us!

Friends Trip
Great house for large group exploring Willamette Valley. Easily walkable to downtown McMinnville but house felt private with large windows overlooking beautiful woods. Check-in and out was easy. House was well supplied with all necessities. A few encounters with spiders but house was otherwise clean.

Wonderful Time
This property was clean, spacious, and had a wonderful view out the windows. There is a large game table (AKA dining table) and ample comfy chairs around the fireplace. The kitchen had enough dishes and cooking utensils for a group of cooks. Cheers!
