Welcome to 'Southern Comfort' ( Opening for Snowbird 24-25 contact Bill 575-799-6074) One block from our beach, this spacious upgraded, one-level home is located in the quiet, private, and gated neighborhood of 'Paradise Retreat'. Including a new 6-passenger golf cart, Featuring a private fiberglass pool, with above ground Hot tub under a screened-in patio, great for outside entertaining or on rainy days. Private beach with two beach access (Beach Service with two chairs and an umbrella are included from March 1 to Oct 31, on the private beach ) This home has northern exposure, so in the evening, you will have relaxing shade in the backyard. This home has granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen. The fiberglass pool (no scraping skin) is equipped with a new salt generator (No burning eyes) and a new sand filter with a new extra-large pool heater.
Every bedroom has an HDTV. The master suite has a king bed, Bedroom 2, has a king bed, Bedroom 3, has a queen bed and the 4th bedroom has bunks, a twin upper bed, full bottom with a twin trundle pull out.
Southern Comfort is within walking distance of our white sugar beach, (About 400 yards 10-minute walk) from the Emerald Coast. Walk along the beach to watch the Sunrise or Sunset. Complimentary beach service is included during peak season and for your convenience, 2 beach chairs and an umbrella have already been reserved for you on the private beach just steps away. There are eight bicycles, Five adult, and four children, with bike parking inside the private beach entry. An air compressor, ping pong table, beach toys, and wagon are supplied in the two-car garage. You can also rent paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or para-sail.
After a day at the beach enjoy the open floorplan living area while watching the 55-inch large-screen HDTV with a DVD player, or sit in the screened porch and enjoy the hot tub. A gas grill is provided with an extra tank, for cooking out poolside. *($330.00 per week to heat the pool)

We loved Bill home. Bill was very nice, he reached out 2 hours before our check in to let us know the house was ready, he gave us all the instructions needed for the house, golf cart, jacuzzi. You can definitely see Bill ability as a host. The home has everything you need from beach towels to all kitchen appliances and needs. The home layout is wonderful and well divided. My family and kids love everything about, This is a gated community which we loved. We have stood in this area before we love. The golf cart is a plus as we went to beach several days. As a guest Bill makes it very easy also to check out with minimal requirements. We definitely will be back.

we had a great stay on our trip, Bill came to the property and gave us several good recommendations on what to do and where to go as well as a rundown of the property pool and hot tub.
we normally stay on the beach, but on this trip, we tried something different and off the beach but with private
beach access, and it was a great choice! the golf cart made it ease with close parking that was always available. the golf cart was also great for evening beach front drives.
we loved it and will be going back!

Our family had an amazing vacation at Bill’s place! The house was perfect for us, with everything we needed and more. Bill was an incredible host, always responsive and helpful. We loved the extra touches like the beach toys, chairs, pool toys, bikes, and more. The house was spotless and we were able to settle in right away. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly as advertised, clean and well maintained. We loved having the golf cart and used it for daily trips to the beach, to restaurants, and nightly cruising of the beach highway. Bill was an attentive host, even stopping by the morning after our arrival to give us a quick orientation.

He was great for my family of three small children! It was big enough that we all had room and close enough to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and not a lot of traffic. We took the golf cart to the beach and the grocery store frequently it’s not far.

There are so many good things about this property that I don’t even know where to begin. Bill was an amazing host. Anytime I needed anything, he responded very quickly and went above and beyond, out of his way to make sure our stay was incredible. The neighborhood was located in a perfect spot. The neighbors were very friendly. The kitchen was equipped with more than we could imagine. We could have easily walked to the beach, but the golf cart made it so much easier. The beach was beautiful. The giant TVs were awesome for when we just wanted to relax! There were a ton of food and shopping places within a couple miles of the house. Our family definitely made memories that we will not forget. We can’t wait to come back to the area and get another opportunity to rent out this house. If I could give it more stars, I would!

We throughly enjoyed our stay at this location. The home is gorgeous and spacious for a large family. We appreciated that the home was stocked with kid friendly items such as oack and play stroller, bikes, and plenty of beach toys! The private beach acess was nice, it was never very crowded. We also enjoyed having a pool and hotub at the house to enjoy as a family. Bill was an amazing host and very responsive to questions and things that came up through the week. We also appreciated the orientation and little tour he gave us upon arrival

We cannot say enough. Hands down, best rental property we EVER stayed in. Whistle clean. Bill is incredible. So kind and easy to chat with. Answered every question ASAP, and was so willing to help us the whole trip. We even stayed an extra night that came available and it was AWESOME. The golf cart is so convenient and the kids loved the pool so bad. 6 out of 5 stars, will absolutely stay again in a Bill property!!!!

The house was perfect and the host, Bill, was great too. Golf cart was a nice perk, but the beach is not that far of a walk. My only issue was the noisy floors especially in the hallway with the three bedrooms. If you have young kids bring noise makers because walking around at night is loud on those floors.

Wonderful family vacation and I can honestly say that a great deal is attributed to this property and owner, Bill. We have stayed in 15+ properties over the years and never have we had someone take the time to walk us through the property, explain the ins and outs, take us around and show us some hot spots!
The pool and golf cart were hits with our littles. The hot tub was a hit with the adults and a great way to end the evenings!
As always, the beach did not disappoint with the beautiful white sand and beach service on point.

We’ve been to the Destin area several times and this has been one of our favorite places to stay! Plenty of room for everyone and the house is immaculate! Bill was great - he showed us how to get to the beach & gave us a quick tutorial on the golf cart. The golf cart made getting our things (and ourselves) to the beach a breeze! We had a great vacation at Southern Comfort. Great house in a perfect location. One of the best aspects of the trip was the golf cart. We used it to get to the beach, drive to dinner, and just cruise up and down scenic 98. The beach was awesome with white sand and clear water. We wish we could have stayed for two weeks! We truly enjoyed our stay! Bill was wonderful from the very start to ensure we had a seamless check in. He offered a tour of the property, if needed, and checked on us during our trip to make sure we had everything we needed. The house was a lot bigger than what we expected, and it was super clean. It provided everything we needed for our stay and honestly felt like a true “home away from home.” The hot tub was really nice and it was private. The neighborhood was gated, so we felt secure, and it was super quiet. It was very centrally located. It seemed like we were within 5-15 mins of absolutely everything. The private beach was really clean and had beautiful views. If we come back to Destin, then we will absolutely see if this house is available again.

We just had a fabulous stay in FL. Even with the cold snap we were able to enjoy the heated pool, hot tub and the beach. The house was perfect, and you couldn't find a better host than Bill. I was really impressed with the thoughtful details - a bottle of wine, pool toys, bikes, beach towels and coolers - just about anything you might want.
Since Bill can coordinate this property with the one across the
street, I think this would be a great location for a family reunion. Hopefully, I be able to set one up and visit again soon!

Our group of 5 adults and 4 kids had a great stay at this property. The setup of the house was perfect for two families and we enjoyed all the house had to offer from the pool and hot tub to all the beach extras and bikes! The location was perfect and close to everything while still feeling quiet and private. Bill was also very communicative and helpful. My family and I had the best vacation at Miramar beach. The house was perfect for our family of 7! The house was very clean, well stocked, great location to the beach and restaurants , and located in a safe neighborhood. Bill was fantastic. He showed us around the first day when we arrived. The great reviews we read before booking are spot on! Bill is a top-notch host and if there were an award for “Florida’s finest hosts,” he’d be a worthy recipient. We had two families with three young kids and this house was perfect. The pool was great for taking breaks between trips to the beach. We rented a golf cart for the week but you could easily walk to the private beach access too. The house was stocked so well and we truly felt at home here. The community felt extremely safe and friendly as well. Bill was always a call/text away but we never needed him. The pool light was out when we arrived (we hadn’t noticed yet). Bill replaced it immediately and we enjoyed it all week. We have stayed in one other house in this area prior to this trip but it wasn’t nearly as accommodating as this house. The beach chairs and umbrella come in clutch if you have any kids that need breaks from the sun. Bill has truly thought of everything! We will be back! :) Thank you for the awesome memories!

Perfect place!
This home was gorgeous and was a perfect place to stay! Traveled with my parents, my husband, and our kiddos ranging in age from 11 to 18 months. The home has everything needed for a fun day at the beach including a beach wagon, sand toys, and beach towels. The private pool was perfect to relax in after spending the day at the beach. Pack and play and high chair were so nice to have for the baby! Bill is an amazing host and quick to respond to any questions that we had. My kids can't wait to return again next summer!

I looked through a ton of properties - and wanted to stay at Bill's other home - but unfortunately that guest extended their stay. We ended up staying at this property which was much bigger than the other. We loved this house - especially LOVED the master bed - I am home now and miserable. I never slept better. It helped that a beautiful poolside was right outside the window. The home is SOOO much more spacious than the pictures do justice - as is the accommodations. He has beautiful new creme leather couches that are very comfy. The pool gets sun all day - but you have a little screened in area with a hot tub - we didn't use it much tho as we stayed in the sun all day. The screened in area is larger than pics show - the area is absolutely beautiful - quiet - serene - just a SHORT walk to the beach which is nice when you have eaten too much! Bill was so kind accommodating - drove us to the public beach access - had a bottle of wine for us... the place had beach towels - beach stuff - everything you need to cook and entertain pool side - he also made great dinner recommendations. We will definitely be staying again - you get a different feel when you go direct with an owner than some property management company - it feels like you have an instant friend nearby! the 5 star reviews are the real deal....

Home is bigger in person! Such a cozy house with everything you need. Bill was incredibly responsive and wonderful. Loved the pool and the bike to the beach was perfect. Would love to come back!

Girl Family Getaway
After a rough year, our group of five ranging in ages from 8-69, needed a relaxing getaway. This house was beautiful, immaculate, had privacy for all of us, was close to restaurants, grocery, beach, and activities. We all felt very safe there and Bill was very helpful from day 1, making sure we knew where everything in the house was as well as beach access. We even had a bottle of wine waiting for us-much needed after traveling! All of the beds were comfortable as well. We will definitely be back!

Lovely home
Wonderful home, great location! The hot tub is a super bonus, especially in November. Check in very easy, Bill was very responsive when needed (not often, lol). Highly recommend, and would love to return in June!

Wonderful house
Bill was absolutely wonderful to work with. The property was perfect. Two HUGE common areas (one living room and one dining) where we spent our time when we weren’t on the beach or by the pool. Beach is an easy walk and the proximity to shopping, grocery and restaurants was great! Beds were comfy and it was great to have two rooms with king size! The main bedroom was super spacious and nice and private. This was perfect place for our family to be together and my 80+ year old parents loved the easy one floor layout, zero entry shower, and spacious layoit.

Can’t say enough good things about the property location or the great quick communication with the property manager.
The house was beautiful and everything it appeared to be online, clean and convenient. Actually much larger in person!
It also had many amenities i.e. beach equipment, cooking gear + on site so we didn’t have to spend additional money.
Can access most all local activities with in 15-20min at a max.
Most things are much much closer.
Look forward to staying here again.
