This is a great place for quiet relaxation and accessibility for a person with mobility issues. Inside my husband used his wheelchair and walker. We brought his outdoor scooter and he was able to drive it to the outside features of this wonderful lodge.

This is a beautiful, well constructed lake home with everything you would need for a relaxing vacation. The children loved the sandy beach, the play space and the game room in the house. The house was well furnished and in great condition. We loved the large spacious deck where we could all enjoy our meals together. All appliances and electronics worked perfectly. We would definitely chose this vacation spot again.

Our family had a great time at this lodge for a few nights leading up to Thanksgiving 2023. The outdoor playing fields and trails were a blast and the indoor game room kept us occupied when it rained.
With 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms there was plenty of space for our entire extended family to enjoy some time together under one roof. Would look forward to staying here again and working with these owners.

The time we had with family in this house are memories we will cherish forever. The main level bed was awful and the house was covered in ants, but that wouldn’t stop us from staying again and again. Those two things are easily fixable. If you want bonding time with family, this house has everything you could ever need.

This property was perfect for our weekend away. After a few year break, this year started our weekend away with a great group of friends up again. It marks our 13th year getting together. There were cornhole championships, axe throwing championships, euchre, pool, and a little ping pong, too! The house provided ample space for meal prep and consumption. There is no better therapy than laughter and time with friends. The Knotty Pine Lodge provided a great location for both.

We had a fabulous weekend at Knotty Pine! It was just perfect for our family. With ages from 17 months to 70 years old, there was something for everyone. I’m so glad we invested in the boat package. We fished, and some even jumped in the cold water because the weather was so beautiful! We also enjoyed the kayaks. Would definitely plan another vacation there in the future, only longer! We didn’t even have time to ride the bikes or fully explore the trails.
You have a wonderful setup for families, and the accommodations were excellent.

We gathered our family from multiple states for a family wedding and needed a 7 bedroom home . Finding a home of this quality with such an amazing view was a dream come true. What we were even more impressed with was the accommodations this property offered for accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges. They were so well designed that they blended seamlessly into the flow of the home.
IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A BEAUTIFUL HOME THIS IS PERFECT AND IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A HOME THAT OFFERS ACCESSIBILITY THIS IS THE HOME OF YOUR DREAMS.
Thanks to the amazing hosts for maki g our weekend perfect!

It’s hard to find a nice, affordable place that can accommodate my large family. This is the best I have found. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, and things to do for all ages. We will be back.
10.0 / 10.0
My group consisted of eight adults and four children. The house offered plenty of space. The bedroom setup was great and the kitchen was well stocked. From the pictures, the main floor living area seemed larger than it actually is (at least to me) but it was not too much of an issue given all of the other available living areas. The game room was perfect for my group and is where we spent the majority of our time.
We did not spend too much time outside given the time of year and weather. We did walk to town one day and it was a fairly easy walk.

We had a wonderful stay at Knotty Pine Lodge. There were 20 of us for a family get together and there was plenty of room for us to all be comfortable. The lodge is big but somehow still feels cozy. Communication with the owners was great and quick. We hope to do another family stay there someday.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here - there was plenty of room and activities for everyone (16 of us, including adults, teens, and kids!) and the homeowner supplied us with just about everything we needed. Great views and quiet area with ample parking. It's not a far drive to Swiss Valley at all and we were able to get some skiing in while we were there. The fire pit / gazebo was a very nice feature as well and the game room was a big hit with everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

Our group of 14 stayed at this property over the Superbowl weekend Friday-Monday. The 7 bds & 7 baths were great to house this many people in the winter months. The house itself was large enough that we were not in each others way. We also had nice enough weather to utilize the firepit put back!
The kichen was large enough for all the meals & snacks that were made. The house had everything we needed.
The gameroom was a huge bonus for tv watching and playing competitive pool. The guys in the group had fun. All in all great experience. The hosts were great! They answered any questions we had and were very gracious. I made Valentine cookies and the table was perfect for decoate them.

Had Christmas with 17.children and grands. Cozy feeling throughout and plenty of space to gather. Space to be by yourself as well. Didn’t get to use outdoor amenities but they looked wonderful. Would love to come back in warmer months to take full advantage of what the property offers

Our family (17 of us total ranging from ages 2-80+) decided instead of gifts for Christmas, we’d start a new tradition of doing a family getaway! We thought we might have been crazy renting a place like this in December, but Cassopolis is such a cute little Hallmark town with quite a bit to do, close by - that between visiting the town and hanging out in the house’s game room we ran out of time before we ran out of things to do! Communication with the owner was amazing. The house was amazing. And Christmas 2022 in Cassopolis was amazing!
10.0 / 10.0
Our family had a wonderful time celebrating our parents 50th anniversary here! The house had everything we needed and the owners provided us plenty of information for the house and things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a big family gathering(15 adults and 7 kids) this Thanksgiving with people from multiple states and from overseas. Perfect place for a large group with different age groups. There was something for everyone to do. We especially enjoyed the game room with the ping pong table, the pool table, and a big screen to connect the kids' Nintendo. The lake view was great, and we liked the fact that it was the last house on the street.

10.0 / 10.0
This property is amazing! The house is immaculate, very clean, and has especially comfortable beds. The game room, private lake access, smokeless firepit, basketball goal, private hiking trails, and huge playset set this property apart. Not to mention all the extras: a well stocked kitchen, tons of extras for playing (cornhole, ping pong paddles and balls, basketballs, etc.). My definition of perfect isn't everything going perfectly, but having property owners/managers who take care of you perfectly. That is exactly what Ted and Brenda did for me and my group of 19! We will be back.

We had our whole family up for the Notre Dame game with five young grandkids and they loved the playground, walking trails and yard. The young adults loved the game room and firepit.
10.0 / 10.0
This place fit the ticket for our big family. Ted & Brenda provided some many essentials that we pretty much only had to bring our clothes & food. The lodge and surroundings were beautiful. I really love the handicap accessibility. Some places say they are but they aren’t. The only area we had some issues were going down the path to the boat dock. All in all we had a GREAT time!
10.0 / 10.0
Amazing house, all the space we needed! Loved we were at the end of the road, it made the property feel more private! Game room was a huge hit with the teens & loved the sunset pontoon rides around the lake!

We had a great time at this property, lots of fun stuff to do, and a great view!
10.0 / 10.0
House setup is perfect for what we needed to sleep adults and kids comfortably. The kids were never bored and had many things to keep them occupied. Play set. Pontoon boat, and game room were a big hit. Spent most of our time on the deck and barbecued. The bugs at night were the only drawback but it’s a house on a lake with woods all around, so kind of expected. We brought a bug zapper and that helped a little bit. Bonfire was also nice one night and a change of scenery from deck. Ted was very thorough with every detail related to house access and info. Would recommend for big family gatherings.

Our weekend consisted of my siblings, our spouses and my parents. 12 of us altogether. The Knotty Pine Lodge had plenty of room for hanging out, playing games and having meals together, both inside and out . We loved it so much , we are making plans to come back next year. Ted and Brenda were excellent at communicating and made our stay a great experience.

Our family was extremely happy with our stay the Knotty Pine Lodge. From the start the owners were very responsive and you could tell they were very experienced hosts. The property is as beautiful as pictured and they really think of everything when it comes to supplying a kitchen with utensils and such. The fact that each room has their own bathroom was a huge bonus and the game room was such a nice amenity to utilize in the evenings and the one rainy day we had during our stay. Our guests ranged in age from 1.5yrs to 68 yrs olds and everyone truly enjoyed their stay. We highly recommend Ted and Brenda at the Knotty Pine Lodge and look forward to booking again with them soon!

This house has everything you need. Big enough to accommodate multiple family. Most bedrooms have their own bathrooms. Game room is awesome for gathering when it’s too cold out.
10.0 / 10.0
I booked this property in March with some old friends for a small reunion. Even without the great summer weather to use everything a lakefront house has to offer, there was plenty to do. In an age where you have to be skeptical of the pictures you see online, the pictures on the listing portrayed the quality of the house very well. We were not disappointed.
As it goes for the hosts, Ted and Brenda, I’ve never had an easier time with the logistics of the trip. They provide very detailed step by step instructions that lessened the stress of renting a house for a larger group. I would most definitely rent again!
10.0 / 10.0
We booked this property as a family retreat in lieu of Christmas presents. It turned out wonderfully from conversations with the owner, the information provided on the VRBO website and the property itself. Everything you need besides food was in the lodge. Great vacation!

The place was great! Enough rooms for everyone to sleep, great view, and neighborhood! The entire group loved this place and are all planning to go back!
