Clean and comfortable unit with great location for skiing and proximity to village.
3.0
The location was incredible for summer biking and the storage for the bikes was fabulous. The air conditioner was only in the living room and the fans provided did not circulate the air enough to cool off the bedrooms. The #1 listed amenity - the hot tub was located in another building and cost $15 per person to access. There were tons of pets in the absolutely no pets building, I wish I had brought mine. The remote was missing for the living room tv too,

The Mountain Lodge is a perfect fit for us.
No frills, affordable and right next to the village and ski lifts.
Unit 333 was clean and comfortable. Our teen boys loved the adjustable massage mattresses.

The mountain lodge still is one of the best places to stay for location and budget. This unit is renovated nicely and was spacious for our Family of six (4 teenagers). A bunk in the second bedroom would be nice, but the kids enjoyed the sleep number adjustable beds. Mountain lodge is making upgrades to the outside of the building that help it fit in with the billiard. Inside still needs some work but it’s one of the original places from back on the day before the village was constructed. Only recommendation I have for the owners are to stock up the kitchen better with pots pans lids, cooking utensils, ect. But we made what we had work. Also, a few more hooks in the hallway to hang gear for 6-8 people. Overall the ML is one of my go to spots to book because of the location and price. Thanks for a great stay!

Great location!!
There were 2 main reasons we chose this property- location and 3 full size beds. The location was perfect. We were very close to everything and could walk just about everywhere. We travelled with our 2 young adult sons, so we not only needed 2 bedrooms, but 3 beds as well. And this property definitely provided plenty of room for all four of us. We would definitely recommend this property, but a few things to be aware of: the whole building including the condo is extremely warm. Yes, it was winter, but we had to leave windows open at all times, so plan sleepwear & lounge wear accordingly. Listing states washer/dryer, but it is not in the condo, w/d located in the building and coin operated.
Staff was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

Great location but unit and building rundown
After our stay at this property in December 2021, we felt it was important to share our feedback. We came to ski, and the best feature of the property is its location. It’s steps away from skiing and the village. It was very easy to come back and have lunch or take a skiing break without losing a lot of time. After that, it was tough to find a lot to get excited about.
The condo is pretty battered - there are water stains on the bathroom shelving, the bed covers are worn, and the pillows are about as thick as a thin crust pizza. Both bathrooms were missing wall towel racks: one was broken and the other still had the holes in the wall where it used to hang. No one bothered to patch them.
There’s nowhere to put clothes besides hang them in the closets, one which houses the hot water heater. We lived out of our suitcases for the week. If you are a larger person, there’s not a lot of room to move around in either bedroom or the bathrooms.
Note: the room that is called the master has 2 remote control adjustable beds, a giant TV, but the bathroom is not en-suite. The other bedroom is en-suite.
The common space is pretty small - don’t be fooled by the pictures - and had a small sofa, a lumpy recliner and 2 dining chairs for seating. The kitchen was generally fine and included the basic basics (some dishes, silverware, glassware, and cookware).
The description of the condo said it included a washer/dryer, but didn’t mention that it was a coin operated shared laundry room around the corner. Make sure you bring laundry soap and softener, and QUARTERS, as the front desk was out (we had to get ours in the village.)
And the building: the best amenity was the ski equipment locker we rented. Besides that, there were no other amenities, unless you are looking for an arcade to burn some time. Mountain Lodge has more of a motel feel than a hotel or condo building. Since we only saw our unit, we have no idea if our space was on par, above, or below quality of anyone else’s. We recognize that this is a rental and doesn’t get the same care as a full-time residence. However, IMO the owners should put in some $$ and work to get this unit up to being acceptable.

Good place to stay and ski
The place had a great location on the mountain. The living room and kitchen was small but nice. It was a good place to stay and ski for a few days.

great location and helpful staff!
We enjoyed our stay! The condo had everything we needed, including a well equipped kitchen. The location was wonderful and the parking was great. Kids could ski in and ski out and enjoyed the waffle shack proximity. Being able to use the pools was a real plus! Would definitely stay again.

Amazing location! Fantastic place!
The mountain lodge is located in Snowshoe village and is ski in/ski out. The location is ideal. We would walk outside and ski with our kids and were able to ski our littlest one to his ski school. We could walk out the other way and were extremely close to the split rock pool. We would ski in for lunch and back out for the afternoon. Or we could ski or walk to coffee shops or restaurants in the village. The condo has beautiful large TVs which have easy access to Netflix, prime video, etc and the unit has great WiFi. The kitchen was adequate for us to cook all our meals for us and our kids and the place supplies towels, paper towel and toilet paper making it very easy to just enjoy skiing .
We had a very easy time working with the owner. He always returned text messages, email or phone calls ASAP and sent very helpful information.
Absolutely would return and use this owner to rent again! Our kids also enjoyed the big top when it got cold or a day off which has climbing walls and bounce houses. Great trip! Great place! Easy to work with owner! Loved it!

Great Snowshoe deal!
We stayed two nights in ML unit 333 Jan 20, 21 2018. The unit is very updated with regard to kitchen, flooring bedrooms, and bathrooms. It made for an enjoyable stay for our family of four. Plenty of room - we could have easily slept 2 more in the pullout couch. Also, Manish was able to get us free entry into the pool that is right across the street - big hit with the kids! We'll definitely book this unit again.

Nice place for a great price.
This was our second stay in this unit this season. The unit is a basic 2 bedroom but has everything you need for your stay. Mountain lodge is an older building but is located at the top of Ballhooter lift.

Very nice place at Mountain Lodge. Comfortable furniture and well taken care of.

First time at Snowshoe
The unit was clean and easily accommodated our family of 5. All supplies were available and easy to find. Renting was easy and the owner very kind and quick to respond. Directions were clear (check in, check out, and so on). The pool/hot tub associated with the unit was quite nice.
My only request would be that the sofa-bed be upgraded, as that particular piece of furniture was rather poor and not something I'd want to have to sleep on for more than one night.
Being right on the slopes was a huge plus!
