The evening meal was expensive and we waited a very long time to get served but it was good quality.
We had two rooms for two nights and both experienced the same appalling standards. The place was filthy. Bathrooms disgusting, dirty toilets, floor covered in mess, old bumpy mattress, broken mirror, broken bathroom blind, no slip mat provided for my elderly mum who then couldn't have a shower and was told to put a towel in the bath. Room not cleaned, dirty cups left on the side, not enough coffee and milk provided. Bulk linen left on landing and beer barrels left in entrance so as a fire exit, it was dangerous. Room covered in cob webs and dust. Tables sticky in restaurant and cutlery dirty. No staff to ask for any help. Restaurant cold and place extremely unwelcoming. Like others, the prices of drinks changed with each round. Breakfast was limited and tiny. One poor lady was left to do practically everything and she commented several times how awful it was working there. Do not book for a stay!

Lovely location and great concept to focus on good quality ingredients in the restaurant. Rooms simple but cosy, and a good base to explore Bourton. Breakfast was excellent - amazing quality produce.
Bit of a frosty reception from the manager on arrival, we were made to feel a little awkward on Friday night, but he warmed up over the weekend. Restaurant staff were lovely. Rooms could do with a bit of love - cobwebs all over the brick wall, a bag of linen left in the corridor all weekend, but overall perfectly fine for a long weekend.

The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub had great character.
The stay was a little on the expensive side.
4.0
Heritage pub in keeping with the Cotswolds area.
The bar is directly below the rooms and the noise carries clearly.

Staff were very friendly and polite - breakfast was great and room was very clean and comfortable. Location in the village was lovely and the pub was well decorated.
There was no shower gel or shampoo/conditioner in our room - wasn't a major issue though! And some juice at breakfast would've been a great extra.

There were no toiletries - only hand soap & hand cream. Toast was delivered on a flat plate rather than in a toast rack & we were not asked if we wanted brown or white bread.

Location
No prior information that there was no evening food or drink and nothing else in the village. The coffee machine was broken in the room. We had to change our plans by calling elsewhere for our evening meal. Could smell the presence of dogs and the carpets weren't clean.

Nydelig overnattingssted. Flott, deilig rom. Gode senger, fint bad
Litt kaldt på rommet. litt sparsom frokost. Veldig tradisjonell engelsk frokost på en tallerken, men ikke noe mer. Måtte spørre om alt ekstra (juice, ekstra egg, frokostblanding, påfyll kaffe.)

Lovely old property in quiet village. Bedroom nicely set out on arrival (Turkdean), bed was very comfy, lovely breakfast, no storage for clothing if stopping for a few days
Low ceilings if you are tall, bathroom could have been cleaner around the shower, privacy film on window in bathroom was barely there, lighting in bathroom was poor , expensive menu

Lovely rural setting in a pretty Cotswold village. Very quiet. Comfortable room but quite small so no chair to sit on. Had to sit on the bed to watch TV. Very pleased to have tea and coffee making facilities. Quality toiletries in the bathroom . Dog friendly and no extra charges. Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast was served (9-10 on a Saturday) but Ovi kindly gave us some cereal and milk to have before we left.
Nothing.

Very functional but so very cute and pretty. Great dinner from aged meat from the Dexter herd run by the owner. Thoroughly recommend it , even if off the beaten track, and get there before Nel goes off to study medicine.

Staff are great, they go more than above and beyond to make sure you have a good stay.
Hard to get taxis in this part of the world. But that isn't a problem of the accommodation

The food that was ordered was good.
The accommodation inside was reeking and smelled foul. The stairway was very dirty and musty. The breakfast that came with the package wasn’t good at all and was being served from only 9am onwards.

Nice village and nicely decorated pub . Breakfast was very good.
Disappointing that food stopped at 4 and couldn’t enjoy a drink and relax as all closed up at 6. Think this needs to be made really clear this is what to expect on Sundays.

The Plough Inn is located in a delightful Cotswold village, full of beautiful homes and an ideal film location. a classic setting in many ways. we had arrived from Edam just north of Amsterdam en route back home to Cumbria. Tired from a longish drive and ferry we were hoping the Inn was going to be a pleasant stopover. It was much more. It was an oasis, with very pleasant staff and good accommodation. the food was good but very interesting pub grub based mainly around the beef from the local farm, but I think the breakfast was perfect for me. the selection of wines was good and proved our downfall as we enjoyed the ambiance so much we consumed more than normal, so beware!
Nothing to observe. we enjoyed it all.

Breakfast was good. Fantastic bacon.
Menu was limited - not for vegetarians/vegans as there was much focus on their beef. Breakfast was completely ruined on the first day as it was scheduled between 9-10, the exact time workmen worked on the patio doors. Bad timing and could have seated the three tables in the evening restaurant with the staff having to walk slightly further. No thought given nor apologies. Dreadful and with 2 staff and 5 customer took absolutely ages - could have done it faster myself.

Out of the way so no real traffic noise etc, breakfast wasn't bad but have had better. Not sure it was worth what we paid for our first night as Mr & Mrs - not acknowledged in any way which was disappointing,
Beds, one side was fine the other side was not good at all, massive dip in it compared to the other side, felt like you was falling off the edge of the world

Great location in quaint village, nice building and grounds, great food for dinner and breakfast (breakfast was included), nice room
Unpleasant smell in corridor to rooms (but no problem smell in actual room), no chair and table in room, could hear the restaurant downstairs very well from room

Lovely room above a pub with excellent breakfast. Beautiful traditional Cotswolds village.

Nice location, showers had good pressure which was good, evening staff on Saturday were friendly (although never brought the coffee pods up that they promised)
No staff in the morning for breakfast and booking out, told breakfast was between 0900-1000 and the only people around were chefs in the kitchen who ignored us and deliberate walked away when we knocked on the door, despite the pub doors being open,. Really put a dampener on the whole thing. We had to just leave the keys on the bar and leave without breakfast. Poor complimentary toiletries. told Wi-Fi wasn’t working, but overheard other patrons say that it was much better then previously, so we were lied to by management. Although staff were friendly at times really didn’t feel that welcoming and felt like they were constantly talking behind our backs wouldn’t return.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. There was no physical reception to welcome us but we did receive an email explaining what to do and where to find our rooms.
We weren't able to log in to wifi as the network wasn't working. Owner advised it can be temperamental. Breakfast was a bit of a muddle, no menu, limited options, etc, but I understand being under new management can take awhile to get on top of things.

In a pretty village. Deputy manager tried her best.
Arrived to find the request for twin beds was not met. Dried up coffee and no milk in the room. Not informed that there would be no water all night and the next morning, therefore no water provided for toilet etc. No contact number and no emergency information. Very untidy and dirty both inside and outside the property. Manager very unhelpful and extremely rude.

The location was amazing
Very uncomfortable beds.
3 emails ignored
Asked for the bed to be set up as a twin. Just ignored.
No breakfast available (informed in advance of this and given credit for evening meals)
Nobody around on departure.
All very strange and certainly not what we are used to when going through Booking. Com

The location is good as it's not far from visiting sites. And the breakfast is so amazing. The staff is so nice.
There are just 2 small questions if improved would make the stay perfect. One is the poor Internet. We could not connect to Wifi or had cellular signal in the room. It was totally NONE signal. The other is that we could clearly feel the spring when lying down on the bed. It ruined the sleep.

beautiful location, gorgeous village staff very friendly, breakfast was really good 👍
smell of drains very strong in the outside seating area, looks to be in need of some TLC. tea and coffee facilities but no milk or sugar in the room.

Beautiful room and location.
We received a message two days before letting us know the pub would be closed, but we could still access our room. The key would be in the door. No Internet. Dirty glass in room. Breakfast was not till 10 am. We couldn't wait that long. We received no response to our phone calls.
