Location, as good as it gets in Bourton-on-the-Water. (In my opinion!) No street noise. On-site parking.
Staff, (with the exception of two) not as friendly as I would expect them to be. Several times I said to my travelling companions, that they look as though they didn’t like their jobs. We all have bad days at work however, we stayed 6 nights, and it was the same every day. Breakfast was good, but on the two occasions we had our evening meals, tbh, we wish we hadn’t. Eg., I ordered the
nachos, with extra cheese (an option for extra $$). I received a large plate of corn chips smothered with melted cheese. I had to ask for the salsa and guacamole (as advertised on the menu). A very small amount (approximately a tablespoon) of each was brought to our table, which I had to share with my friend who had ordered nachos as well. Yes, we could/should have complained, but decided it was a first world problem. We had food after all.

great location
very dated uncomfortable rooms. Seems to be badly run with lack of staff, no one there at all when we arrived for breakfast, the chef had overslept following a 'big' night the night before, we had to get back home early but it was nearly an hour before we had breakfast. We would not return here.

The location was excellent, rooms comfortable, warm and clean if a little small. Met my expectations for a 3 star hotel
I have 2 friends who are coeliac. With my original booking I aske for gluten free bread and sausages for breakfast. I als asked if they could get some gluten free beer in. I phone on the week of our visit and the hotel confirmed our needs. However on out arrival there was no gluten free beer , only gluten free lager. At breakfast there was no gluten free bread or sausages. Very disappointing. Staff did offer to pop out for some gluten free bread but we declined. We should not have been in this position in the first place.

The Duke of Wellington is in a good location. It is a dog friendly hotel. The breakfast was good. There was a variety of reasonably-priced evening meals to choose from.
The reception was at the bar and there was no appropriate meet and greet of the hotel guests who had booked overnight accommodation..
The hotel was extremely noisy. The drinkers (boozers) were not separated from those who wanted to dine in peace and quiet. The noise, both inside and out, could be heard from our bedrooms and didn't finish until well past midnight.
The plumbing in the bedrooms was poor, e.g. It took a long time for the water to drain away from the sinks after use. There was mould on the ceiling of the shower in room 4.
There was no hanging space for (wet) outdoor clothes. There was no provision for wet shoes/muddy boots.

Location was good and having a car park (though a bit of a pain) was helpful. Staff was friendly (but not very helpful). No bed bugs, so that's a plus.
We were pretty disappointed with our stay here. First of all, the parking was a pain. Super tight and we had to wait a while for an employee to move his car before we could park because they didn’t have enough room. The place was not super clean and the decor was not pleasant and felt sloppy. The whole place was very damp, we even were being dripped on during breakfast. The shower didn’t drain well and the sink faucet was very loose and hard to turn off. We waited a whole hour for breakfast when there were only 2 other tables being waited on and were in a hurry to get going. Breakfast was decent but pretty greasy. We expressed our overall disappointment, but they didn’t seem to care. At least the next morning they were faster with breakfast.

Breakfast was excellent and location perfect for middle of Bourton.
Apart from when we checked in and had our breakfast served to us, there were no staff around at all. The room was small and hot, though a fan was provided. Drainage poor in bathroom sink and cold tap was loose. Stairs up to bedroom very steep and difficult for carrying cases! Understandably, this is a working pub and bandb just a sideline.

Location was great in the middle of everything
The rooms were small- which you can expect in a old building. The room was dusty and the toilet made a weird loud sounds when you used it.
The mattress was old and springs would ping every time you rolled over. Very uncomfortable.
The internet was bad. !! Room 5 we had go out to hall to login and it would drop out every 2 mins
Breakfast was okay.

The Duke of Wellington was a great overnight stay for cyclists. The helpful staff secured our bikes inside the pub. The room was great, the bed comfy, and the bathroom modern. We had a nice dinner and a Full English Breakfast to start the next day's ride. Best of all is its location - it is right on the River Windrush in the centre of Bourton-on- the-Water - every attraction is right on the doorstep.

The location of the hotel was very good and staff was friendly
Being a local pub and good to see how busy it was it became very loud at night and that jncluded staff members joining their customers. Needs areas separating chill out area .
