About this house rental
Beautiful 3 bdrm/2 bath home with beautiful garden that is only one block from the beach and the famous scenic road. Imagine starting your morning with breathtaking walks along the ocean.
People describe our cottage as relaxing and inviting yet equipped with all the modern conveniences. House is well equipped with comfortable beds and linens. Multiple LED flat screen TVs with cable, HBO and apple TV. We also have high speed wireless internet.
Our favorite activities include tea or wine in the garden, walking to the beach for sunset, and relaxing in front of the fire. Very close to Carmel shops and restaurants.
There is parking in the driveway and next to the house.
I would be happy to give recommendations for restaurants, vineyards, walks/hikes, or golf courses.

My girlfriends and I stayed here for the weekend and had a great experience. Our host was very quick to respond and was very accommodating. The house is adorable and is settled in a safe and quiet neighborhood that has a short 5 minute walk to the beach. This home was clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend staying here.

This home had all we needed to feel completely comfortable during our four day stay. Easy walking to The Mission Ranch and beach. Sean was very easy to work with and communication was prompt. A very well cared for older home.

Came together from all sides of US to see son/brother stationed in CA who turned 21 this week! It was fantastic! All reviews are spot on and we were NOT disappointed at all! Sean (host) made the entire experience absolutely wonderful! Perfection!! Would come back again!

We just loved our stay in this cottage just a couple streets over from the beach! Perfectly equipped for cooking at home, as well as for young families, it is situated in a quiet neighborhood, close to restaurants and the wonderful town of Carmel. The garden is delightful, too. Thank you!

I would come here every year! Easy access to beach, nice walk to town. Embodies the feel of Carmel. We had a nice bottle of wine and snacks waiting that the family enjoyed and did many of the things on their recommended to do list including hiking at Point Lobos and eating at Mission Ranch Inn! Beds and bedding were super comfy! Living room fireplace easy to work and set the ambiance for the night after a long day outdoors.

The house was clean, cozy and very well equipped with everything we needed. There were toys and children's books and sand toys and even a picnic basket. The living room looks out onto a courtyard with a lovely fountain. We loved the location in a charming neighborhood. We took walks to the beach everyday.
We fell in love with Carmel and can't wait to come back!

My family really enjoyed our stay at this property. It is described as "old Carmel" style, if I remember correctly, and that sums it up - a smallish simple house that is comfortable and livable in a lovely neighborhood. One of its charms is the multiple french doors opening out to the garden areas, and lots of windows for natural light. The kitchen is small but was adequate for simple meals. We enjoyed having access to towels, chairs and toys for beach play. The beach truly is a block away, although that beach is not recommended for swimming. There is however another swimming beach not far away (we walked there also). Early morning walks along the scenic drive were popular with many folks besides us, and it is a lovely neighborhood in which to walk and enjoy looking at the homes and the landscaping. Pebble Beach, Monterey and Point Lobos are all easy driving distances. There was somewhat of a mildewy smell in the back bedroom, but it was tolerable to me (and I am somewhat sensitive to mildew). Sean was helpful and responsive when we contacted him.

We loved this property! It is a charming garden home that is cozy and complete with several nice amenities. The kitchen is well stocked. The location is perfect for morning walks on the beach. The garden patio we enjoyed fresco dinning. Carmel is so beautiful with lots to do. Point lobos is a must see. I hope to return to this lovely place and appreciate the use of this nice home.

Great quiet Carmel Point location with beautiful private sunny garden--very well stocked & comfortable. We had a few maintenance issues and Sean was very responsive in getting them taken care of.

Our Host, Sean, was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, he kept in contact and provided details of the home and the surrounding areas.
Sean ensured and emphasized our stay at the home would be comfortable and quiet. He definitely lived up to it. The home was clean, and had all the essential amenities that was needed for our stay. The neighborhood provided peace and quiet as described, and friendly neighbors. Most importantly, the majestic beauty of the coast along the scenic route near the home was breath taking.
We are already making plans to return next year. We highly recommended this home as a get away for the if you are looking for what we described. We just want to THANK YOU Sean for allowing us to stay in your Home!

The location of this house is outstanding! Just a block or so to the beach! Super quiet area. The house is comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the dark curtains in all bedrooms. The owner was easy to reach and communicate with. We hope one day to come back!

This place has the feel of original Carmel. Kitchen and main living space are great. Bedrooms are all comfortable. But it’s the location that really makes it extremely special. You can walk outside take a right and be on Carmel River Beach in few minutes or take a left and be on Carmel Beach in minutes. This location on Carmel Point is ideal. Need the car to get to downtown Carmel or Big Sur, but if you stock up on supplies you could just stay there and experience living in carmel like an actual local. I could not have enjoyed the experience more. Highly recommend!!!

Very clean house with well stocked kitchen - utensils, pots, etc. Appliances all worked well. Beds were very comfortable and we never had any feedback from the neighbors about noise or other issues.

We had the best time at this quaint little cottage. The neighborhood is quiet, relaxing and walkable. We took inexpensive Ubers to town for dining. The ocean is a short walk away and very magical!

Stayed at this cottage home for a long weekend with my mom, two kids ( 7 and 8) and husband. We fit well in the 3 bedrooms. Kids room has two twin beds. Very close to the beach (~3-5 min walk) on a quiet street. Lovely garden with a fountain. The house can be a bit cool in the mornings- before the fireplace in the living room heats the room up. Heaters in all bedrooms. Will bring a pair of slippers next time :) the kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pan and cooking equipment.
The owner seems to really care about the guests having a good time. Owner easily accessible if needed. Had a small issue on arrival which he addressed immediately and then he had dessert delivered to us! Would absolutely stay here again!!!! Thanks for the hospitality, we had a great time.

An idyllic location in a residential neighborhood within walking distance of Carmel Bay. Fully outfitted, with attention to the details of comfort that go above and beyond your expectations! Spacious, very clean, and the easy to use gas log fireplace in the comfortably appointed living room is a bonus. Two patios in a garden area. The bedrooms have individual heaters, and the entire cottage is charming and beautiful, in perfect keeping with the ambience of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Our family completely enjoyed staying in this wonderful home, it has all the character and charm of the Carmel area. Walking distance to the beach and a very short drive to town.

This house was so cute and perfectly located for us - a short walk to the beach and to the Tor House, where we had a planned visit. Everything was neat and tidy and simply adorable. The beds were super comfortable and the heaters worked nicely on the chill nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to again!

Wonderful Cottage
We all loved our stay. The house was clean, well stocked and charming. It was a bit cold so we were very appreciative of the fireplace. The location is the best in Carmel--in a quiet neighborhood, very close to the beach and Scenic, and near Rio Rd. Sean was a great host, and the instructions clear. We will be back.

Cozy Carmel cottage --Feb 2022
Delightful cozy, inviting cottage and gardens--in a nice, quiet area close to Carmel River Beach. Full of character--obviously a well loved home and everything well maintained. Very well stocked kitchen--including things like salad spinner, burr coffee grinder, good knives--things often not found in a rental! It worked beautifully for my husband and me and 3 of our grandchildren. Too cold to take much advantage of the garden but we did have a racoon visit at dinnertime one night. Would definitely go back again!

This is a delightful cottage, 2 minutes walk to the beautiful Carmel River state beach. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and very homely, with a cute outdoor sitting area, a good kitchen, lounge, and 3 bedrooms. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will plan to return.
The center of Carmel is a short drive - or much better, a walk along the coastal Scenic Drive (allow about 30 mins).
