About this house rental

This home sits on a very private point lot with 700 feet of water frontage. It was designed for multiple families with kids. The view is absolutely spectacular with water on 3 sides and views from almost every room in the house. It is roughly 3,000 square feet and has a additional 2,100 square feet of balconies and decks. There are two great rooms, one for the adults and a second for the kids. The upstairs has 20' vaulted ceilings throughout. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops and a Keurig Coffee machine. The huge, custom built square table seats 12 for family meals and two additional bar top chairs are at the kitchen counter top. For outdoor cooking, there is a large, high end, gas grill and a wood burning smoker.

There are two masters with one upstairs and the second down. The third and fourth bedrooms are downstairs. The game room includes a pool table, ping pong, foosball table, games and puzzles. We have a flat screen tv on the main level with Directv as well as two tv's on the bottom level, one in the master downstairs and one in the main room. We just installed a new "Starlink" wireless service with over 100M access speed, if you need to connect your laptop.

Water Level: Very deep.

The outside balconies and decks wrap three sides of the house. The lighted walkway leads down to the enormous three slip boat house and swim platform. The water slide is connected to city water for hours of fun in the lake. A deck box is available with life preservers for all sizes. There are plenty of chairs and chaise lounges by the house that can be brought down to the dock to use. Pontoon boat rentals are made through Duskin Point Marina. You are also welcome to bring your own boat.

The boat house includes 1 open slip for 1 boat and additional side docking for 3-4 more.

Smith Lake is rated as the third cleanest lake in the country. You must see it to believe it. There are 500 miles of shoreline with over 21,200 acres of water. There is fantastic swimming, fishing, boating and skiing. Much of the lake is in the Bankhead National Forest with miles of undisturbed wooded shores and spectacular views.

We are located very close to the Smith Lake dam and is also near Duskin Point Marina (great for refueling and a quick snack). It is 55 minutes from Birmingham, 2 hours from Nashville and 4 hours from Memphis.

Spent 4 days at the Lake house. Had a blast. Invited some friends and co-workers to a party to celebrate my Retirement. Beautiful property. Had everything that we needed. Lots of seating, both inside and out. The steps into the water were wonderful. Don’t use “Waze” to find the location. Google or Apple Maps work best. I look forward to staying there again next year.

We really enjoyed our stay. House is beautiful with great view. Kitchen had everything we needed. The pool table was in use all the time except when we were floating in the lake. Several of us really enjoyed the paddle boards. That is a great amenity. Very peaceful on the water.

Family Paradise was the perfect setting for my family to celebrate my dad’s 75th birthday. The house was set on a beautiful cove with breathtaking lake views. We enjoyed the kayaks, slide, and jump platform. We tried to fish , but were never able to catch anything. Shannon was very responsive and able to answer all questions we had leading up to the trip. I would definitely recommend staying at this location, and I hope we can again soon.

My sisters family and my family met there for the weekend! It was just as described actually maybe more fun and roomy than we thought. Kid friendly and safe for pet. We had a very Good time and recommend anyone looking. The water is perfect there. It’s deep and clean

My family truly enjoyed our stay at Family Paradise. The beautiful lake view is the star of this vacation home. We enjoyed the large kitchen and eating area, as well. There is plenty of seating throughout and even a pool table. If you are looking for a relaxing stay on the lake with plenty of room for family and/or friends, this is it. Unrelated to the home, I was disappointed to see that previous renters had broken bottles and left cans on the lakeshore. I don't know how to stop this, but it was sad to see.

The lake house was just as nice as advertised. The bedrooms were nice and clean with comfortable beds. Kitchen had all the amenities and the furniture was plentiful and comfortable. Huge bay windows provided a great view of the lake with beautiful sunsets. The property is as secluded as you can ask for for such a popular lake. I highly recommend the property to large groups.

The amazing views from this property are endless! Family Paradise rests at the mid-focal point of the cove! This lake retreat was perfect for our multi-generational (20's through 80's) family holiday celebration! The kitchen is large and fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, and appliances! The walk-thru butler's pantry is perfect for holding your groceries! We cooked, baked, ate, laughed, and enjoyed the breathtaking views from every window! Highlights: fishing off the dock, sitting around the firepit in the evenings, taking in the views from the swivel chairs on the top deck, playing pool, and playing cards at the large family table! Family Paradise feels like the lake house that has been in your family for years! The owners are excellent and the process to rent and stay at Family Paradise is easy to follow! The property was perfect for a family trip with young kids. The dock had so many things to play with and the kids loved the slide. The house has a beautiful view of the lake!! And the large dining table and couches were perfect for our group.

This property was perfect for our family gathering. The view is stunning! It’s very private and they amenities were so nice. The dock was a great place to enjoy lots of swimming without worry of other boaters. Our kids in the group loved the slide, flat form jump, paddle boards, and inflatable lounge. Had a wonderful weekend catching up with a handful of old Highschool buddies. Enjoyed the huge kitchen, dining area every morning and evening. What a view! Spent Saturday viewing the lake on a boat that we brought. It was great having a dock to park it under! Spent the last evening swimming and relaxing on the dock! This is the nicest place I've stayed in Smith lake! 5 stars

We had SO MUCH fun at Family Paradise! This is a great place to stay for a reasonable price. The owners were great and got back to us with all our questions. The lake was easy to get to, and the dock is so amazing. The kids loved the slide and jumping platform. The views are incredible. It’s off of the main channel so there was not a lot of boat traffic. ❤️❤️❤️

Property manager approved our Family Reunion. Family Paradise was perfect! Clean, well supplied, lots of room, beautiful view and lake location, water activities on the pier a blast (slide and platform), close and easily accessible boat launch, pool table which can covert to ping pong, foosball, FUN! Roads need a bit of work as you get close to the location but that is expected in the county. Our family highly recommends Family Paradise!

We booked the house to celebrate our daughter’s high school graduation with family and friends. Overall the experience was exactly what we wanted. The time on the lake was outstanding. If there was anything lacking, it was concerning the trash bins. One of the two trash cans was completely full outside. Since you must take the garbage down the road a piece, it was an inconvenience. Thanks for letting us use your lovely home. We made some wonderful memories.

The property was very clean. We brought our boat and LOVED the dock, there is a jump platform, waterslide, and a empty boat slip for us to dock our boat. They also had paddle board that coverts to a kayak for use and it was great fun during our relaxing time. It was in a perfect location on the water tucked away in a cove but in a place where you can view the whole lake. There is one bedroom upstairs and the rest are located on the bottom floor which was nice and helped with noise from the kitchen. The pool table was much used, and there was plenty of room to play without hitting the wall (something we always have a problem with at other properties). The only complaint was the Wifi didn’t work during our trip, but we had good phone service so it was okay.

We had a quick family get away. Upstairs master was perfect for our 85 year old, downstairs queen perfect for couple (one who is 6”-8”) and queen room perfect for last couple. Driveway was a bit treacherous navigating at night but this property was amazing.

We have stayed in many VRBO rentals in many places, and this house was easily the best we have ever stayed at. First it has a gorgeous view of the lake. Although we stayed in the winter, it was clear that the dock would be perfect for swimming, fishing or sunbathing in the summer. The outdoor furniture on both levels of the deck and out by the fireplace were all great. Next this cabin is stocked with absolutely everything you need for a family getaway. The kitchen was perfect with every utensil imaginable. The only thing we couldn't find was a pair of scissors, and I have no doubt there is a pair somewhere we just overlooked. The quality and comfort of the beds and furnishings was equivalent to home. When I travel, I expect to be disappointed in the bed or the pillows because I am picky; however, the bed was quite comfortable and they even had a pillow I liked. The dining table was enormous with plenty of room for all of us to eat together and play games. The downstairs has a game room with a pool table and Foosball table with comfortable chairs there as well. I highly recommend this rental!

It had plenty of space for us all, and we used every square inch :) We enjoyed sunsets on the deck, as well as early morning coffee and devotions. Such a serene location. Hands down the prettiest house on that part of the lake, and one of the best views :) The hostess was tremendous to work with - very responsive and flexible!

Everything was great!! We had an amazing time. Only thing I would recommend was cutting back the dead grass and bushes. Walking through it and stepping around it was a little bit of a pain but overall I would stay here again!!

Our family was able to get away for a few days and enjoy the swimming and fishing around the point, where the house overlooks toward an unobstructed view of the lake. Family, swimming, games, a view, and coffee - nothing better.
