About this cottage rental
New Orleans Creole Cottage.
Lic#22-CSTR-18162 Operational Lic 22-OSTR-0409
This Historic Home was built in the early 1900's. Totally renovated, with all the charm of New Orleans. Our New Orleans Creole shotgun home is very spacious with new furniture and all the making of a comfortable home.
The Historic Bywater neighborhood is an artsy area with easy access to the Quarter, Frenchman St, Crescent Park, cafes, restaurants, grocery, park, and bars all within walking distance.
Welcome, and enjoy our Historic Bywater neighborhood.
We are 1.4 miles to the French Quarter ( 15 -20-minute walk), but still far enough to not have the noise, expensive parking and activity of the French Quarter.
The Gabrielle Grace Manor has a Living room with hardwood floors, TV, sofa bed and 2 chairs, WiFi, cable TV. The kitchen is fully furnished, (but who wants to cook when you're in New Orleans and you have all this good food).
1st. The bedroom has a new queen bed and mattress and hardwood floors and TV.
2nd. the bedroom has a new queen bed and mattress and hardwood floors.
Bathrooms consist of a toilet and combination tub/shower. Just about everything new.
The Gabrielle Grace Manor has all you need with off street parking always close to the house. Plenty of street and building lights at night for when you return in the wee hours of the morning.
Great Location.... New Orleans ranked 2nd best U.S. city by Travel + Leisure in 2015 -2019
Travel + Leisure attributes New Orleans' rise in the rankings to a growing number of new hotels, shops and restaurants across the city as well as the thriving Faubourg Marigny and Bywater neighborhoods.
Our home is a vacation rental for a nice place to stay while you are in our home. We do not allow any parties, receptions, functions, and anything in that order. Sorry, but we are in a Historic Neighborhood, and we must respect our neighbors.

Truly one of the best experiences I've had. The house has been updated without losing the shotgun historical features. Beds were incredibly comfortable. The neighborhood was highly walkable, full of cafes, and very friendly neighbors. We walked Crescent Park and down to French Market and French Quarter. Jumped on the streetcar for further distances. Most of all Cathy and Tony provided the ultimate ease and communication. By far one of my best experiences. Thank you so much for providing this wonderful home in a great neighborhood, your restaurant recommendations, and especially your professional yet personable experience.

My family and i had the most wonderful time. The beds were very comfortable. The house was beautiful and the neighborhood was so fun! Walkable with coffeshops, bakeries, and perfect New Orleans dive bars (Vaughn's anyone). Cathy was available when we had questions and very accommodating to our needs.

Great location, super clean, and the decor is refreshingly eclectic.
I expected that parking would be an issue but I was able to park right in front every time.
Cathy was very easy to work with and flexible when I had a scheduling snafu. We would definitely stay again if available.

The house was perfect for the 3 of us. We were able to walk into downtown, French quarter, along the river. It was a very nice walk. I wish I would have checked out the neighborhood a little more. They had a few food places and local bars that would have been nice to try. We were more interested in Mardi Gras. We went to Bacchanal Fine Wine, it was a lot of fun. I definitely recommend it. The neighborhood was very friendly.

Take this classic New Orleans house in a great neighborhood, Bywater, and you have the recipe for a great stay!!!! Tony and Cathy could not have been better, with both communication before and during our stay. The house and location gives you a great base for exploring The Quarter, Garden District, etc all of which are close by. After your day out you can return to the peace and quiet of Bywater, and as we did, try out some of the local bars and restaurants. We will definitly stay her on our next visit!!!!

Close to River
I was amazed at how close this property is to the Mississippi River, about 1/4 of mile. You can walk along a gorgeous park right by the River, and it leads right to the French Market. Wonderful location!

Wonderful
This little shot gun house was just what we needed. The host were very friendly. It was very cold and rainy and I didn’t have a warm enough jacket to wear and she went next door and got two for me to use. The house was very clean and everything you need to cook a meal was provided. The bed was very comfortable. So is the furniture. For anybody interested, the best place we ate was Daisy Dukes Express. Awesome food. I would definitely stay here again. Gayle

Best stay yet! NOLA central, local culture, all amenities you need
Great communication from the reservation on. The neighborhood makes me want to move to NOLA. Central to everything, local food on every side street, 4 blocks from river- amazing! Unit was clean, Wi-Fi & tv worked well, hot water with pressure, private back patio, doors between each room. Highly recommend location, property and owners.

Property was super clean. Thank you! I love the location, away from the craziness but close enough to walk to the quarter if you want. We enjoyed exploring the park and the restaurants and bars within the neighborhood.

Just as described
This property is just as described! It is close to everything, yet far enough to shield from the late night noise. We felt safe at all times, even late at night. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in New Orleans!

Nice home/Great location
This home is located soooo close to the French Quarter you can almost smell the crawfish cooking! Very clean with all the amenities you could need. We enjoyed sitting on the patio after walking around the French Quarter. The neighborhood is quiet and we experienced no problems. Cathy and Tony are very accomodating and demonstrate great pride in their rentals and their city.

Perfect spot...loved it!
My husband and I stayed with another couple over New Years and LOVED the house and the neighborhood. Really convenient location in Bywater within walking distance from several markets, a great wine bar (Bacchanal) an amazing coffee shop/bakery (Bywater Bakery) and Country Club where we had the best brunch and bloody marys. It is an easy uber/lyft ride away from the French Quarter, Garden District and all the action, but nicely positioned in a quiet historic neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle. Homeowners, Tony and Cathy made everything super easy and they were wonderfully accommodating. The house had everything we needed, it is adorable, clean, comfy and has the cutest little patio in the back. It was perfect for four people. We loved it, would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again. Thank you to Cathy and Tony for the most perfect spot! Cheers!

Nice Bywater Shotgun Home
Cathy has a nice shotgun home that worked well for us and another couple. First bedroom has an en-suite bathroom which was nice and convenient, especially at night. The kitchen and dinette area was large and had everything we needed. The back patio is cute and relaxing. The Bywater Bakery was great to walk to for morning coffee and breakfast, and Bacchanal we really loved for an evening of backyard wine and listening to live jazz. It was easy to get to the French Quarter and Frenchmen Street areas. There was street construction outside when we were there, and the water was shut off for part of one day, but Cathy let me know ahead of time and it didn’t impact our time there.

LOVED, LOVED, LOVED!!!! You will not be disappointed!
Cathy and Tony’s home was amazing and VERY clean! They were courteous and ensured the home had everything you needed! It was a perfect location, convenient on-street parking in a safe neighborhood, great location (my friends and I did however Uber or drive most places but that was only by personal preference as it is very close to things to do). I will DEFINITELY be keeping this gem of a home in my plans for the next time we revisit New Orleans! Booking with Cathy and Tony was such an easy and professional experience. I highly recommend!

Blissful Bywater Beauty
My family and friends were blessed to find Cathy and Tony's lovely Gabrielle Grace Cottage in one of our favourite neighborhoods for our week celebrating the 50th anniversary of Jazz Fest. We stepped into cool, air-conditioned, art-filled comfort with soft jazz playing on the sound system and cool beverages awaiting weary travelers that came across the country from Washington state to celebrate one of this country's most precious gems, New Orleans! Every detail was taken care of, coffee on the counter, clean linens and menus, city guides, tour books and local dining/watering hole recommendations in every corner . Cathy contacted me personally to make sure entry into her home was successful and that I had everything I needed. I have been coming to New Orleans for 8 years to soak in the incredible culture and have never been blessed to have a host treat me like their best friend in all this time! The neighborhood is warm, welcome and we love to walk to Elizabeth's, Cake Cafe, The County Club and Bywater Bakery for the country's best food and ambiance. My personal love is the charming patio, bathed in shade by old trees and filled with birdsong every morning, as I enjoy my coffee and plan my day. I cannot recommend this Bywater Beauty enough travel friends! Leave Your Worries At The Doorstep, Cathy and Tony will make your next visit to New Orleans absolute BLISS!

This home is a lovely well maintained home with lots of personal touches.
Our hosts were very friendly. The house is a home not just a plain rental. It's comfortable and has everything you need in your home away. The Bywater area is an interesting neighborhood and it looks like homes are being renovated . It's a little sad that an apartment building is being built across the street.

Great location in Bywater and property was clean, user friendly and had a nice courtyard.
Best place we’ve stayed at on VRBO or Airbnb. Super convenient to Frenchman St and the Quarter. Cathy and Tony were great hosts.

Perfect!
The place I originally booked canceled on us at the last minute. In my panicked search to find a new place, I stumbled upon this listing. A quick message and call to Cathy calmed me down and I was booked for a stay at her beautiful property.
I consider it a very lucky accident that got us here since it turned out to be the best choice for my family. The place is super clean and well stocked with anything you could possibly need. Cathy and Tony are wonderful people and took great care of us.
We have family in New Orleans and visit often, we’ve already decided we will only be staying in one of Cathy and Tony’s properties.

Cajun Cottage
The house was in very good shape. The freezer had things in it that appeared should have been thrown away. Not enough electrical plugs. Left an electronic device on the floor in the living room overnight. The next morning it was crawling with very little bugs. No gas container for the BBQ even though it said there was.

We expected a nice place but were so impressed with this home.. Such a cozy homey feeling . Will definitely stay there again on our way back if possible..

Excellent Stay
We had an excellent time~! The house was very suitable for 2 couples. We found we had plenty of space and we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor patio area for winding down after spending all day walking around NOLA! The beds were very comfy, the house is spotless. I appreciated all the little things, such as face wipes, shampoo, etc. We took an uber everywhere we needed to be - it's about $10 average to get you to Bourbon street. I also want to point out how accommodating the hosts were. They allowed us to have a late check out since our flight wasn't leaving until late evening (and gave us an early check-in - thank you). That was greatly appreciated~! I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a great spot in NOLA. Thank again!
