Each bedroom has a queen bed compression foam pad, down comforter. and luxurious down pillows. The bathroom features a double sink and vanity, heated hardwood floors, bath/shower, and luxurious thick towels. The living room features hardwood floors, plus it opens to a covered deck with incredible views of the creek and mountains. The hot-tub and sauna are just a few steps away, where you can relax right next to the creek.

Cooke City, at an elevation of 7400 feet and only minutes from the Northeast Entrance to Yellowstone National Park, offers two distinct seasons. Summer is filled with outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, ATVing, fishing, rafting, photography, and sightseeing, either in spectacular Yellowstone National Park or in the beautiful country surrounding the Park. Fall through spring presents world-class snowmobiling and backcountry/cross-country skiing in the most gorgeous of mountain settings.
The road to Cooke City from Gardiner, through Yellowstone National Park, is kept open year-round. To the east, Cooke City is accessible by Highway 212 from May through November, depending on snow depth. Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, Wyoming 296, climbs from the Cody area over majestic Chief Joseph Pass and then wanders through gorgeous Sunlight Basin before arriving at Cooke City. The Beartooth Highway, which twists and winds its way from Red Lodge, is open only through summer months, and is considered one of the most scenic drives in America.

Excellent house and property. We love the tiny town of Cooke city too. Thanks so much.

The accommodations were beautiful. The place was well furnished, well stocked, and totally complete. We had a relaxing time hanging out by Soda Butte Creek and it was a convenient walk into town. We fished, hiked and spotted lots of wildlife nearby. Truly, the location near Yellowstone National Park was the BEST! We had a memorable time and highly recommend this special place.

My sisters and I stayed for a week and it was a wonderful home for our vacation. We loved the property and area so much, on the day we left, we booked the larger home for next summer so we could bring our dad.
Cooke city is a wonderful town and was part of our decision to book for next summer. So very close to Lamar Valley.
Communication from the owners when we had a question/request was very prompt and easy (and later in the night due to our late arrival).
The creek, hot tub, and sauna made for wonderful, relaxing mornings and evenings. The families staying in the larger home next door had campfires by the creek each evening (there was a fire pit by the creek). Although the units are close to each other and the laundry room/sauna/hot tub are shared, there was never an issue. They have 2 large washing machines and dryers.
Definitely do your grocery shopping before arriving, but, there is a general store in Cooke City that has almost everything you would need in an emergency (not a lot of variety but will get you through if in a pinch--we were surprised by all they had to offer).
The kitchen has all you need to cook meals and the beds are VERY comfortable.
The property had a bison show up almost each evening. A local said he's been around for years. We saw 4 moose just down the trail.
This really is a special place. We've stayed in Big Sky and Gardiner for over 10 year trying to find a place we love and we've now found it with this property and city.

Enjoyed every bit of it.
Did not enjoy the unsafe and very steep stairs to loft! With older aged guests as well as no bathroom upstairs. They are very difficult and unsafe to operate.recomend changing. Also in the listing for sleeps 6. Would state bed sizes and amounts, plus couches. Or we should have asked. Would we return to the rental property. For sure. I was glad there was a parking lot for trailer as there was no way to get it to rental. Thank you. 👋

We spent three nights and chose this property because of the close proximity to the NE entrance of Yellowstone and because it seemed isolated and quiet. It did not disappoint. We had no issues with our instructions, locating or accessing the property. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this property.

Our group was my wife and I and three 12 year olds. We would definitely stay here again. The cabin was clean and had plenty of room. The kids loved the hot tub out by the creek. Having a washer and dryer was really helpful. Very convenient to Lamar Valley, where we saw a wolf, grizzlies, pronghorns, coyotes and other wildlife - even saw 3 moose inside Cooke City. It was also convenient for a trip over the Beartooth Highway to Red Lodge.
Cooke City is pretty remote, but the general store in town had most of what we needed during our stay.
We had a great time!

We typically stay in YNP; however, this time we tried staying in Cooke city for a more peaceful stay. Our stay was amazing. We come to the park every year and this was by far our best stay. Hosts were quick to respond, house was immaculate and the description was accurate. I would suggest bringing food for meals. Loved it so much we have booked it again next year. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with us. Looking forward to our return.

Flood Disaster
the property was wonderful, the trip was an unfortunate 150 year old flood that forced us to evacuate.

Nice place for the younger crowd
We are nearing 70 and do our one cooking when traveling. We looked forward to the opportunity to enjoy the hot tub and sauna. It was winter and we were expected to shovel our own path to both, something we did not want to do. Also the kitchen doesn’t have a dishwasher so we simplified the cooking to reduce chores. The place is beautiful and there was a fox that traveled through daily on its hunt for food

Gorgeous Property in a Great Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the beautifully designed guest house. It had everything we needed for a one-week stay, and as frequent visitors to the area we appreciated the proximity to the Lamar Valley where we love to hike and fish. Michelle's directions and pre-visit info were very accurate and easy to understand. We especially appreciated the advice to bring whatever food you need, since the local stores have a limited inventory. This place is definitely on our list for a return visit!
